Always come to this 99 when visiting Planada, it is much bigger than the store I frequent back home in Phoenix. It is well stocked very clean and the workers are friendly and helpful. Was able to find a brand of tea that my store hasnt carried in a few months and was glad about that. Just didnt like that some of the items werent priced and found out when I went to check out. But otherwise its always a great experience.

Really big for being a 99 store. Has a lot of options and a frozen food section. From cleaning supplies, hair accessories, to fresh fruit and condiments its a good place to get food. I got a huge basket full of food that lasted me a whole month for $100. I could spend $100 at food maxx and it would barely get me through half the month.

So under estimated. I got a ton of essential groceries for under 40. No excuse for eating badly other then you want to.

I havent seen floors this bad since Kmart dorm shopping. Im pretty sure the bananas would still be yellow if it wasnt so hot... the refrigerators are so old they are act better as store heaters probably costs seven times the upkeep that would be better spent on actually having staff being able to walk the aisles. Literally I think theres two people working here. And the mobile in the same building got robbed in broad daylight. Its only a matter of time before someone realizes this and maybe make some preemptive efforts or feta robbed 🙈🙉🙊

It has most things needed but it took me some searching as things are laid out n different sections. The person at register was very helpful in getting me assistance with somk bulkier/heavier items.

Allow time to stand in line. They have a good selection but you spend more time in line, the employees are nice.

Plants at the front of the store are dying. Please rescue them. Every life has value.

Great deals, really crowded, of course it is Christmas Eve, Eve. The bathrooms are not so great so you better go at home before you go shopping :)

Found what I needed. They have alot of name brand items at a great price. Only complaint is lines to pay are long. Only one cashier while I was there. Then they finally called one more to come help. Right now is not the time to stand in long lines.

I mean, alright store, alright location, the surrounding areas are not the best ones and theres a lot of low lives around. They always have long lines to pay, not enough staff.

Most of the employees are really really friendly but one particular woman felt the need to scold my son after he bounced a ball in the store. One. Single. Bounce. Of course I was about to remind him that thats not acceptable in stores but before I had a chance she yelled at him. I was shocked. I hhope someone sees this and reminds the employees that it is not their job to discipline customers children. You never know which kids have special needs and may be more sensitive than others. LUCKY FOR HER, my son is neurotypical and doesnt fall in this category.

It would be nice to have some paper towels for the restroom.

A great store located in a great area of many stores

This store has everything you could imagine. From toothpicks to fine art work. From socks to fresh bananas! And thank god for the bags of ice for 99¢ in this heat! The only down side is they never have enough clerks for the long lines.

PROS - cheap prices clean store and good selectionCONS - long wait time in checkout stand plus poachers hang in front of the store soliciting plus homeless people asking you for change. The management needs to work on the situations of the solicitors and the homeless. I come this store sometimes but not as often as I usually would.

Not a bad place to shop. Im able to find what I need most of the time and sometimes try new products. My only gripe is in their name as youll find not everything is 99 cents only anymore. Nonetheless, youre more than likely to find what you need at a cheaper price.

I like this place because they have squeaker balls for my pet.. they need to get more because everytime I go i get all of them off the shelves. Lol

Too hot and owner refuses to turn on the air conditioning just like he does every summer. Someone is going to pass out in this store if the air conditioning is not turned on. Im thinking about calling the Better Business Bureau about this ongoing issue.

I go there to get a lot of needed items that are 99 cents. They have things that cost more than 99 cents now but I only buy the 99 cent items. Many times I just go to the dollar tree for the other items. Between the two stores you can get some great bargains for a dollar.

Shop there all the time. Great store with great prices. The only thing is sometimes it will be packed and only have 1 or 2 check stands open

Clean, mostly friendly. Good selection of choices with brands & non name brands, I dont like the fact that its mixed with .99 stuff and above now. $5.99 for head phones that are cheap plastic from China that will break in week...come on now.

This is my first stop when I go grocery shopping. You never know what kind of great deals theyll have. The lines are crazy long, so be prepared.

Its a dollar store, people arent there because they like it. This one has one of the most feared restrooms in town. Good snacks though!

Dont go after dark on your own if youre a female!!!!!!! You never know what you will see. Parking lot isnt well lit and there isnt security all the time.

Out of all the 99 Cent Stores in Merced County and similar places like Family Dollar and Dollar General the 99 cent store only is the best one to go to and its very much bigger and has a much larger selection and has Fresh Foods and just lots of good stuff

Nice store fairly clean with decent priced items. My only problem is when they only have 2 registers open and both lines reach down the aisle. When there are more than 3 ppl in line per register theyre supposed to open another register so why it took 15 ppl being in each line (and yes I counted) reaching half way thru the store for them to finally open 1 yes 1 more register is beyond me and beyond bad administration.

For one thing, 90% of the merchandise in the store costs more than. 99 cents. So, even the name of the store is misleading. The store is ran almost exclusively by hispanics, with the exception of ONE token white lady and shes only there so no one can scream discrimination.

Great prices and usually a large selection of 99 cent upscale gourmet fresh produce and fresh herbs. Go early before its gone.

This location could definitely use a facelift. The shelfs need to be faced more often, as well as the floors need to be mopped more often as well. I highly recommend, do not wait until you have 30 customers waiting for one register before you figure that additional ones needs to be opened. I have known lots of people over the years who have stopped coming here for the particular reasons that I have pointed out. Most employees seem not to have pride in their job or their store, you would be surprised what would happen if you hired individuals who actually wanted to work. Your employees are your money makers. If they are not doing their job, you are going to suffer Financial losses.

Great store always has everything you need, never out of stock. The only things not 99 cents is milk and some cheeses and some specialty items that people need and should definitely cost more. And come on people its a 99 cents store you cant expect it to be a fancy place. The one complaint though is expect a long line. But customer service is solid and always parking. The produce is actually pretty good for the price, potatoes, tomatoes just about all fruits and they are restocked daily so I doubt there will be many rotten fruit and I only buy my bread from there and I dont think its ever been moldy... This place seriously has EVERYTHING! Saves my life all the time!

This store sucks the fresh produce is always rotten and nasty the breads are moldy or yeasty as if mins from molding. the store staff are rude and act irritated if you bother them to answer a question. the carts are all filthy and broken, very hard to use. but the biggest complaint I have is that the store says 99c only.... yet a lot of stuff is $1.99+ some items are even more. false advertisement is an understatement.
