Brought them my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500, that had old tint on one window that needed to be removed, prior to matching my side widow tint. I had both front windows matched, and then heat reducing film applied to all the windows around the whole truck. They did an excellent job and were very professional. The staff was also very friendly and understanding, and explained exactly what was going on and what I needed to do to care for my windows once they were done. Cost was also much lower than I expected. Would highly recommend and will definitely return with other vehicles. Thank you!!

2019 Nissan FrontierMy front windows were tinted perfectly! Matched to the manufacturer shade on the rear windows. Completed within an hour and very affordable!!! Definitely recommend!!

I took my truck to get it tinted and the quality was so great, I decided to tint the rest of my cars the next week! Its nice knowing the quality is there and if anything does happen there is a warranty. He also promised me what time they will be done and it was finished at the time he stated.

Amazing service. My car only took a few hours, but instead of waiting in the shop they gave me a shuttle ride home so I could catch a Netflix show on my couch while waiting. Rushed right back and picked me up when it was finished. The tint is amazing! I will be returning.

At 1st it looked really good he told me to wait 30 days for bubbles and I have been calling since then and have left several messages to go back in to how bubbles pushed out and the only time they returned my call was when they thought I wanted to schedule an appointment for a new tint. Getting ready to go somewhere else to go have bubbles pushed out😒

Very nice guy however before leaving I noticed 3 bubbles on one of the windows. He worked them out but 2 hours after I left they came right back. I called to ask him what he could do to fix it but I got their voicemail. I left a detailed message and asked that he call me back and I haven’t heard a word from him. I tried calling again this week and same thing...no one answered the phone. It’s been a week since he did my tint, no one apparently cares and hasn’t called me back.

Got my windows done a while back and didnt notice the giant bubbles because they were behind the seat. I tried contacting them for weeks to have it fixed and they have been dodging me since even though they have a warranty on all films. Dont recommend them at all.

I took my 2016 F150 in to match the back windows. Prices were fair, and timing was great. I’m a fairly picky customer and they had no problems answering my questions and concerns even after a week of install. Tint looks great, will go back for my next vehicle.

My wife and I just got our 2015 Mitsubishi tinted here and the owner Mike was very personable and friendly to us. I feel his prices were fair and he gave us quick, straight to the point answers. He cut all his tint on some sort of computer software so it only took an hour!! He was so quick and our car looks amazing. We will definitely bring all of our cars here in the future!!

I called the day before to make an appointment, JJ was very flexible and accommodating. I came in and it took a little longer than he initially expected but only a little bit longer, very reasonable due to his insistence on making sure everything was perfect. Very happy with the end results. Would recommend.

Terrible place. Do not go here. My back window was tinted at this business 2 years ago and is now bubbling. The new owner stated that he wouldnt do anything about it even though he has record of the job being done there, because the old owner didnt give me a warranty card. The new owner is a horrible business owner with zero customer service skills. Make sure to get a warranty card before you leave or youll be screwed if you have any problem with your tint as they wont honor the lifetime warranty as long as you own the vehicle without one. I had my previous vehicle done here with the old owner with no problems.

Mike is a really cool guy and he did a wonderful job on my 05 C class Mercedes. I will definitely return and recommend. I watched him do one of the windows and he is very thorough and precise. The tint for most cars is cut with a computer to fit so it doesnt actually take half a day to complete (contrary to other reviewers thoughts).

JJ squeezed me in when no one else could find time but assured me there would be nothing between the film and my windows. There is, a lot. In addition I have had to go back 3 times. Once because he didn’t have enough material for my visor, once because the visor had lifted in areas. I really like him but don’t have time to go back time and time again even though there is a warranty. Also damaged seatbelt plastic clip cover on both back belts. They won’t stay on. I give him a five for speed and attitude, but a 3 for actual work.

I didnt expect a tint job to look this good, and they worked with my tight budget, and got it done in about an hour. Mike and Justin are very knowledgeable and helped me pick out the perfect tint. I would and will definitely come back to Sunset for future tint jobs!! Thanks guys!

Had Mike tint the front windows on my 2015 Super Duty. Ive had several vehicle tinted before at other places and Mikes work matches the best of them. Fast, courteous, and an excellent tint job. Ill definitely go back with future vehicles.

A while back the owner took care of me with getting old tint off of my Integra windows. Ill definitely come back when it comes to installing new tint!

NEVER GOING BACK!I took my SUV in to have the front windows tinted last Saturday. I asked for the tint to be one shade lighter than the factory tinted glass on the rear windows, I was told no problem. When I went back an hour later I noticed the front windows were darker than the rear ones. I paid what was due but mentioned how dark they were. He said he did it one shade lighter. I thought maybe it’ll look different once inside of the vehicle. It was really sunny outside and the tint inside didn’t seem too bad but when I drove that night I could hardly see through the window. It was extremely dark and I felt it was unsafe. I called the owner Monday morning and explained that the windows were too dark, not one shade lighter as he said it would be. I asked to have the tint removed and replaced with something lighter. We made an appointment for that afternoon and a few hours before the appointment I received a text that something came up and he wasn’t able to meet me. I replied and asked to meet him the next day. No reply. I’ve texted and emailed him several more times, with photos, and no reply. I even offered to pay to have it corrected.Obviously this owner does not care about customer satisfaction or accepting responsibility for something done wrong. I’ve always used this company for all of my vehicles and have recommended them to friends and family. NO MORE!!

We took our Challenger in for the windows to be tinted and when we went to pick it up there were a lot bubbles on all windows. He said that was just water and they would go away. After a month they were still there so we made a 2nd. appt. to go back. The second time, after leaving it all day, there were still bubbles. He said bring it back in a month. We made the 3rd appt. and left the car all day for him to work on. Absolutely nothing was done to the car and all the bubbles were still there. His excuse, again, was it was just water and come back in a month. Very poor quality and workmanship. Unless you want to waste 3 days of your life I wouldnt recommend having your windows tinted here. Finally had to take it to another window tinting company to have it removed and replaced.

JJ is a great guy, hands down. I shopped at several tint ships around town and he was the most positive guy out of all the shops. Its important that someone is happy helping people and JJ loves to help and to see his customers smile from the great tint job that was applied. There prices are affordable and the lifetime warranty is tough to beat. I went with a 15%. Check them out, his new ownership is doing great things.

Sunset several years ago did my tint on a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. I recently got a new 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport and knew I wanted them to tint my new vehicle. They use 3M tint and is backed my a lifetime warranty. Using a trusted brand of tint makes all the difference. I also love the warranty. I never have to worry about any bubbles or the tint turning purple. If it does, they will replace it because of the warranty. They owners are super nice and friendly. They gave me suggestions on the level of tint. Once they completed the tint on my new vehicle, I was so happy with the results. Recommend them over any other shop in the valley.

DONT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Along with a similar review, we walked around our car when we dropped it off. When we picked it up we didnt look to closely because as soon as we got there he immediately came out, he didnt want to give us time to walk around because then we might notice the chip in our side window. As soon as we got home i looked closer and noticed a very fresh chip. We called him to make it right and he immediately denied it and blamed us for not being smart car buyers. He is a terrible person to work with!!!!!!!! I am so FURIOUS!!!!!!! Because we paid before we noticed it we cant really do anything, BUT i can try and stop people from going to him!!! DONT GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Strangest experience I have ever had as a consumer. I asked a few questions about the different films they offer and shades of tint. The second I started asking one question he got all standoffish. Not sure if he just wanted to head home for the day, but he said hed rather not work with me. This was totally within his right, I was just simply asking questions for about 3 minutes. Yes, 3 minutes worth of education about their products and services was too much to ask. Totally unprofessional - will never recommend or do business with them. They promoted themselves as a pro shop over the phone but it felt like amateur hour. Save time and money and go elsewhere.

The year and make of my sons truck was not in their computer system and so they had to cut out allot of the windows by hand and it turned out great!!!

Hands down the best tint shop in the Treasure Valley. Dont waste your time going anywhere else. Not only is their pricing extremely competitive, Sunset is one of the only shops using 3m. If youre not familiar with 3m products, just know your tint will never bubble, fade or turn purple like it will at one of those CUSTOMZ WHEELZ&TINTZ shops offering full car tint jobs for $95.00 on fairview. Ive been going here for 12+ years 4+ cars and never would consider going anywhere else in the valley. Why would you let some 20 year old kid thats been doing this for a few months tint your car, when you could let a master of the trade do it? Just my two cents.

Day of the installation and back window is peeling from the top.Granted they got me in earlier than scheduled..but for a back window they took over 2 hours to mess up 1 try and on the second..it wont stick.Granted i was upset when i called back..but their offer for me to do it myself or take my cash and go elsewhere just doesnt cut it.Do it right and dont make up excuses and talk to me like im ignorant about autoglass.

Scheduled appointment about a week out. Did the interior in about 2 hrs. Very pleased

The initial work seemed great, however when you approach them to address a warranty concern (bubbling) they are full of excuses on how the problem can occur. It is apparent that they have no intention to honor any guarantee on their work. I will never recommend this company.

I went to Sunset Tint N Trim after seeing the reviews on the website (all were 5 star ratings). I brought my brand new Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse to get the windows tinted; $257 with a lifetime warranty. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORSE TINT JOB IVE EVER PAID FOR. I understand there is a degree of dust contamination but as a person who has enlisted tinting services from various companies on at least 5 different cars, I think I know a slop job when I see one.First of all, A GOOD TINT JOB typically takes half a day to a day; the job was done in an hour and half. I came to pick my car up and the windows were still wet. I explained to them I was a bit concerned but Mike reassured me it needed to dry. Well, after it dried the sloppy job Sunset Tint N Trim is trying to pass on as normal was more apparent. LOTS OF BUBBLING AND UNEVEN COVERAGE. Just so people dont think Im being too unrealistic in my expectations, Ive had other people look at it and they can see the sloppy work without me having to point it out to them.Ive complained to the owner about it but they cant do anything about it now. Even if its a lifetime guarantee. TO add insult to injury, they gave me this little slip: Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every window film application, also pre-existing flaws or scratches blah blah blah Yes they gave it to me AFTER they ruined my car. And this is a brand new car. Got it last week. If this was too much of a hassle for them, why couldnt Sunset have said something?I asked if they can redo it- they refused. I demanded a refund but they will not budge. I gave them this ultimatum; Im going to another tinting service. If my car comes away with the same bubbling and uneven-ness as Sunset, I will leave them alone. BUT if the other tint-service does a better job, I will want compensation.

I would never return to this business. I left my truck to have tinting removed and was quoted a price but when I returned to pick the truck up they charged me more than they said it would cost and never gave me a receipt. I picked the truck up after dark and never noticed until the following morning that they had pulled out the head rests and the tinting that they had removed was scattered all over the back seat and floor and my truck smelled like it had been smoked in and one of my headrests were missing. I called the shop and talked to Chris and asked them to look for it and asked why they had not cleaned the back seat and put the head rests back in place. He made no apology, said they didnt have the head rest and they were not responsible, that Mike must have been distracted by a phone call and never cleaned up the truck. I then got a call from Mike in which he told me that they werent responsible for anything in my truck, later in checking with the other 2 tinting companies in Meridian I found that they had grossly overcharged me. My guess is that they damaged the headrest and hoped that I would not miss it. This company is dishonest and unprofessional. I would never recommend their services.

Excellent work great customer service!

I would give a negative number if possible. JJ at Sunset Tint damaged my rear quarter panel windows (admitted to the damages) and refused to repair the vehicle unless it was with used parts. When we asked for his insurance information to file a claim to get repaired, he told use he had no insurance. JJ also told us he is getting ready to move to Florida, so BEWARE!

Had a tint job done on our Forester, he did a decent job. But the 2 stars is not based on that experience it is based on sketchy quoting. First I have my wife call about prices on getting my 2015 Passat tinted, she was quote $350, which was $150 more than her Forester they did. So then I called in, asked for a quote for the Passat, price suddenly dropped down $25, then I asked why the Passat is so much more expensive and he said German cars are more difficult to tint and require more shop time. I then got a quote from another Tint shop in town that has done a different car of mine and I was quoted the same $185 I paid last time. They said the only cars that are more expensive are bugs and other hatchbacks with similar 5th door windows.I wanted to take my business back to Sunset due to their location being close to my office and home, but due to the fact they tried to charge my wife more than me for the same exact same car and then beating around the bush about price increases made me feel uncomfortable.
