I really like this shop. The owner is based in his beliefs and is an excellent example of what gun store owners should be. His staff is great the inventory is great and he does not takes advantage of his customers. They have alot of good stuff and expert knowledge. Only place in the area that could get the rifle I wanted. Did it in a week and mounted a scope that I had purchased elsewhere, bore sighted it and sent me on my happy way. I decided to check out Idaho Arms & Ammo due to the positive reviews and location close to my home. I was in the market for a Springfield Hellcat and decided to swing by the shop and see if they had one. My hopes werent too high that Id find one in stock as everything is sold out right now but to my surprise there was one sitting there in the display case and I decided to fill out my paperwork right then and there. The gentleman that helped me out that day was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any and all of my questions. Paperwork was a breeze and when my background check was delayed, he were very thorough on the days I might expect to have to wait. Background check was on Thursday 12/31/20 and was approved 1/4/21. I received a call that my firearm was ready to pick up and the purchase process was smooth and quick. I will definitely be doing business here again and will be recommending Idaho Arms & Ammo to friends and family.

Best gun store in the Treasure Valley, period. They are a small shop, and dont have as much of an active selection as some of the larger stores, but they can order ANYTHING, and usually at a much better price. I saved so much money shopping here over the past several years than I would have at other local gun stores purchasing the same items. Dave (the owner) is a stand-up guy and he will be really honest and direct with you. He is very knowledgeable and always has a funny story to tell. Every time I go in, I am welcomed (from the first time to now), and they now know me on a first-name-basis. I will be a customer here for life! They are also a Class III FFL, so you can get Suppressors here. They are really knowledgeable and will help with the process of purchasing guns really easy, quick, and simple.

The guys here are honestly just the best. They helped me get into a new pistol that I absolutely love. They have helped my husband immensely with his first AR-15 build. They took the time walking him through how to put the build together, even though we didnt buy all the parts there. They answer any and all questions to the best of their ability and arent there just for money. They truly care about each and every person who walks in the door and their right to bear arms. I have been into this gun shop a couple times and hadn’t had much interaction with staff but really had been just browsing. Today I went it and got excellent service. I was looking for new sights for my Glock 19 and Gene was willing to show me all the options, when I had found some I was interested in I asked if they were willing to install them he said no problem I went and had lunch next door and he had it all completed by the time I came back at no extra charge. I will keep this in mind when I am in need for something new to add to my collection or gun related needs. Thank you!

Went here for the first time earlier today,and I found my new favorite gun shop. I wont be going anywhere but Idaho arms and ammo from now on. Dave was more than helpful and friendly. If they don’t have what you’re after, they’ll actually take the time to order it. Not just tell you they will and then forget. But they have a huge inventory for being a small gun shop in this valley. Can’t find this much selection at any other store. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new firearm, parts, or accessories.

Kinda small. No gun range. But they had the item I wanted (cabelas didnt) and they said they could get whatever I needed if they didnt have it. Plus the guys in there were SUPER knowledgeable and cool.

Spent about an hr. In here to get my FFL done then get delayed.Normal delays is about three days these guys tell me 5 days and they will call me back.5 days goes by and I here nothing from them, 7 days goes by I finally decide to call them to ask, and get the ok to come get it.Go in to pick it up my gun and they tell me they paper shredded my FFL, well do u at least have the magazine I need, and im told no go somewhere else.Worst customer service Ive ever had and wont be going back, nor recommending
