We had a very pleasant experience shopping at FCA, and then dealing with them on a floor installation project! Our salesman, Zack Garza, was VERY knowledgeable and professional in helping us choose a vinyl plank floor covering for our living room/dining room. One of the reasons we went with FCA was their wide range of choices for vinyl plank flooring. After making that decision, Zack was able to help us get a very competitive price, which was much appreciated. The whole shopping experience was very pleasant and satisfying! When the time came for installation, FCAs installer (Dave) was a quite experienced and knowledgeable technician, and was able to advise and guide us during several decisions we had to make regarding the install. When we ran into a problem with transition levels to the adjoining kitchen, Zack, Dave and Daves boss, Mike, were able to help us make a crucial decision regarding how to effectively handle the situation. The finished floor looks MAGNIFICENT! We couldnt be more happy with the service, professionalism, and quality work exhibited by all FCA people we dealt with. Thank you, FCA!

We finally decided to just finish up our basement. I walked in to FCA and met Zach and described to him how we were hoping to make this a quick process because we were expecting company. He guided us in carpet selection. He never made any promises about scheduling, but said he’d do the best he could. Long story short he worked magic, we have carpet before our company arrives. It was measured appropriately by Zach himself, was installed with efficiency and it looks great! Zach is knowledgeable and helped us make decisions to stay within our budget. It was a great experience overall.

This past May I decided to stop into FCA Floor Covering in Merrillville. We were going to be closing on a home soon & we were shopping for new Flooring and for a kitchen backsplash. Within a couple of minutes we met Will Garza. Im able to tell you that hes a very knowledgeable and extremely helpful sales man for FCA. Will has gone the extra step with explaining the difference in the flooring products of and backsplashes I was wanting to look into. He was very personable. The floating floor (he suggested) we went with I couldnt be happier with. Installation went just as they said it would. I went with a Silver Haze Glass ....its absolutely beautiful especially when the light hits it. Do yourself a favor and stop by FCA. Excellent carpet installation! Their crew removed our old carpet from our 2300 square foot ranch. We moved as much furniture as we could off of the carpet but we could not move the heavy furniture like the beds, dressers, couches etc. I was concerned about them placing our heavy furniture on our hardwood floors. They were extremely careful not to damage our hardwood floors. The carpet installation went very smooth. They did an excellent job cutting in the carpet around our irregular shaped stone hearth. They vacuumed up after their installation also and hauled away the old carpet. They also left a nice roll of our carpet should we need to make a repair in the future. Highly recommended! AAA+++

The two installers that installed our 2 rooms of flooring did anamazing job. very professional, and the rooms were spotless whenthey were done and ready to go. They even cleaned the driveway they usedfor cutting materials. Thank you FCA Flooring for a great experience.

Good place for variety of floors and carpet. Prices can be a bit high for installation services but the installers do a good job. Sales associates can be a bit pushy and sometimes used car dealer-ish. Overall good product though.

I went here for a quote on out floors. The first woman we spoke with wasnt very kind and didnt take us very seriously. Being a young black couple we expect it and let it go. She made an appointment for us to get a measurement. The woman that came to measure for us was very kind. So we went back to look at prices for our floors. I cant remember his name but he told us to call and ask for the old man if we have any issues. He was very nice and even let us take home a few samples so we can get a better idea of what would match our kitchen and paint. He was awesome & made our experience easy & quick & the floor looks amazing!

I was shopping around for carpet and found FCA to be better than all other places. We had to replace all of our carpet in our home and we shopped around for the best prices along with the right product for our home. The other places we received quotes from where good BUT.... FCA was better...... There sales team was very knowledgeable and asked me a ton of questions to help me find the right product for my house. I bought ceramic floor tile. They had one I really liked at a decent price, only took a couple days for it to arrive. Took extra boxes back for credit. Good service. Pleasant showroom.

The whole process was smooth. In store was easy,measurer showed up on time as did the installers. The installation crew was professional,quick and kind. They cleaned up their mess and even vacuumed. Quality products,professional staff,good price,what do you want. You wont get this from Home Depot.

I went to FCA in Merrillville to get flooring for my master bathroom. Sharon helped me with everything and it turned out absolutely beautiful. The installers were very knowledgeable of the product and installed it quickly. There was a height difference between carpet and flooring at the doorway and the installer finished that off perfectly. My whole house has been done by FCA with Sharons help and I am very happy with the results!

Shopping for floors can definitely seem very overwhelming. However, I made a great choice by going into FCA store in Merrillville and got some really great help from Tiana, and Im sure that I have misspelled her name. She was able to ask a few key questions with regards to what kind of flooring I was looking for which I wanted whole house, I wanted it to be water proof as I was going to be using it in my kitchen and then she made a few recommendations based upon that information. Ultimately, I went with some really nice vinyl flooring that was originally $3.97 a square foot but was on a closeout sale for a 1.97 square foot. Got an appointment for measuring the same day, placed my order and now its ready for pickup. I really appreciate the great help I received. Highly recommend FCA!!

Met with Tayona and she was very helpful in finding what we wanted in our budget. She was very easy to work with and never any high pressure sales. We had most of our house done and they worked with us on having the installers when we were ready. They did a great install and cleaned up when they were done. I recommend FCA.

Great Look - Great ServiceWe chose FCA because they had the exact tile we wanted. Brian was super helpful and got us to a comfortable price. He also eased our fears because we were used to working with someone else in Valpo.The team came to demo our home and they were considerate and really hard working. Darius crew ripped through every challenge professionally. Then, when we got to install the tile, Darius noticed it was the wrong color. Brian & the FCA team got everything turned around quickly. I was on flight to Seattle and, by the time I landed, the whole FCA had the issue resolved.When it came to installation, it was fast, professional and better than we imagined. We had a great experience with FCA. We used them for a Stainmaster warranty claim on our carpet that was installed by another carpet company (Carpet Direct). Sharon helped us out and was very knowledgeable. The installers did a great job on the carpet and we cant even find the seams in the new carpet. We are very pleased with FCA and would recommend them to everyone.

Went to FCA in Merrillville on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Brian was able to help me find the best flooring and carpeting on my budget and install was top notch. Definitely has my future business and would recommend Brian to anyone for flooring needs.

My husband and I had two bathroom floors done. The salesman we originally met with would not return calls so we could find out when the flooring would be laid. It took three calls before he would call back. It took three weeks to get the floors done even though the material was in stock. In addition, even though the installers were very nice, they left chipped paint on walls and baseboards in both bathrooms. Three of four baseboards in the linen closed were not nailed down. The toilet leaks in one of the bathrooms. There were nails and screws left all over. I actually stepped on a nail that was on our carpeted bedroom floor. The installers put a linen closet door back on, and it actually fell off the first time I opened it. (Very happy my grandchildren were not the ones to first open that door.) We now have to hire someone to fix that. The floors are nice, but we were not happy with the salesman and/or the installers work. Wont be returning for future flooring. Yvonne Condo

Brian is fantastic, he has worked with me to refloor both engineered hardwood and carpet. From the sales team to the installers, everybody is friendly and works to give the service expected. I will be using them for a third time very soon.

Im a phtoographer and need new flooring for photo sets almost every other month. I used to go looking at various stores, looking for deals, hunting for the pattern I need. I dont bother anymore - I just go straight to Tayona at FCA. They always have exactly what Im looking for at a fair price. Ive never had a late arrival for pickup, either. I highly recommend FCA :)

We were very happy with FCA originally. They were no pressure and came out immediately to do the measurements. We ordered and paid for a re-carpeting of our 1st floor of and tile ripout/install of a 10x10 front entry. It has now been 2 months and although our carpet is done after we called and called weeks about the delayed scheduling that was supposed to be within 7-10 days. We were THEN, about a month ago, told that it was not the carpet but the tile that was of issue. Our carpet was finally scheduled and completed. We are STILL waiting with NO COMMUNICATION FROM SALESMAN OR MANAGEMENT OF MERRILLVILLE STORE...regarding ANY information about the tile job. The tile is in stock. And yet we wait. At this point, it feels like fraud. We are so disappointed. We rescheduled multiple family and work events for this. We waited to purchase new furniture due to possible debris and dust issues. We finally couldnt wait on the furniture. I would say more, but what can you say when they will NOT CALL US. They have been paid. Mr, Hill....this is not what you wanted your company to do to customers.UPDATE: Original review was 1 star. I have updated it to 4 stars:Although the saga above was accurate, the company also did everything they could to fix the problem. They took SUCH GOOD CARE Of us, we decided to come back for our kitchen floor after we experienced water damage. We continue to love the showroom and the knowledge provided by FCA. After a year, we are still LOVING both the marble entryway and the wall to wall carpet in our family room lower level.

I Got a quote on Sunday, they came to measure on Tuesday, and I received a followup call on Thursday for a final price quote. My husband and I went in on Saturday to place a down payment. The Salesman (Brian) would not stand by his quote on premium memory foam pad. Despite the quote that we needed 240 sq ft of pad he wanted to charge use for 288 sq ft. When I pointed this out to him he quoted us a price $30 higher, and then got rude with us. I wont ever buy from someone who wont stand by their offer.

Ordered porcelain and marble tile. They said it would be available for pick up in 7-10 days. 14 days later they still hadnt called me. I decided to call them. After getting the run around with several employees, I got an answer of a few more days. Very inconsiderate to the customers needs. Line of communication is very poor. Return policy after ordering is terrible. They claim u cant return special orders despite it not being received. Msi is their supplier. Msi promises that they have product in stock when they dont. When I got home with my order, some of it was missing. Fca said that it wouldnt be available for another 6 weeks approximately. I feel bad for fca employees because of poor company policies that they have to deal with as well as a really terrible supplier. Brian from fca was a good employee and helped to the best of his ability.

FCA has remodeled 3 of my houses, Rob always looks out for my budget.
