The staffs at this hotel was excellent. They make the customer feel wanted. The room was just a little small and sometimes there is no hot water. It is quiet and peaceful because it sit on a hill about 15 minutes walk to the action. Overall this is a great hotel.

The ladies in the deli area are thy absolute worst customer service ever. BAD ATTITUDES is a under statement. After standing there over 20 minutes I was finally able to get the deli cashier to assist me. She walked up with plastic gloves on in which she was previously using to do everything under the sun with them on. (Touching doors, trash can and other food items.) I polite asked if she would please change her gloves before touching my items. She rolled her eyes and smacked her lips walking off talking underneath her breath. She changed her gloves but than touched a cart. I asked again that she change her plastic gloves again and not to touch other surfaces before touching my food items. She was rude and spoke to another employee than twisting her neck to roll her eyes. The store is actually pretty nice but the bad customer service is overwhelming. I will never visit this ghetto store ever again.

Very consistent experience. I typically have more problems with other shoppers being slow, in the way, or otherwise oblivious to their surroundings than the staff or the building having any problems at all.appreciate they are open quite late as well. very helpful when I work 12-9 and sleep often from 4a-9a ish

I found freshly chopped red onion, green peppers and celery. I thought I could only get from Marianos in Chicago

They had everything I wanted so I didnt have to go to another store. The shelves were stocked. A great shopping experience .

I always shop Strack & Van Tils. Many of the grocery items that I need are readily available. I often enjoy munchies at the deli and bakery.

Deli area wait was horrible experience today. I finally gave up after 20 minutes and went elsewhere. They have a sign saying expect longer waits due to LABOR SHORTAGE! There is no labor shortage - just employee shortage because they arent doing what they need to hire and keep people. Are they saying we should EXPECT POOR SERVICE?

The store is very clean& u can buy food 2 go u just hve 2 the container an asked 4 what u want an they will cook it 4 u but overall they hve sales on food but overall it is a nice place 2 go grocery shopping but i do recommend 4 people 2 shop there an the cashier is nice an greet u. Thts why i gve it a 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Can get a bit crowded on certain days just like any other store but we always get a pleasant cashier one of them even too the time to explain how the rewards program works. A slight bit pricey on some items but all in all a pretty good store. Clean organized and easy to find what your looking for.

Hadnt been here for years! Same courteous, friendly service. Fresh fried fish, from display case to deep fryer! I really miss this place!

I ordered grilled and fried chicken for Mothers day after church along with mash sides and green beans only because I used to work for the deli in Straks several years ago when it was on Taft...it had great tasting food. Well to our surprise it was horrible...the staff when picking up our food was rude and she said she was understaffed but she argued to me up and down about my order ...when she overlooked it the whole time and just waved us off with her hand. Rude. No communication skills for counter...keep her in the back. The grilled chicken was undercooked and greasy; fried chicken and sides were just bland. But my family was thankful?...while I should have just cooked.

They have a variety of things from groceries to pet items to household items to almost anything youre looking for. Very well organized store, polite employees would recommend anyone most definitely shops here a lot.

Stracks has always been my go to store because its right around the corner from where I live. Its a very good store, BUT its produce is whats keeping me from giving it a higher score.... its definitely a hit or miss. Im done with buying fruit, onions and tomatoes there. I now go to Costco, Meijers or Aldi for my produce. The Beef selection could improve also but everything else is Very good!

The store employs people that have bad customer service skills. Today, I approached a register where an employee was standing, but the light above the register wasnt turned on so I politely asked her if the lane was open. To which she angrily replied, You see me standing here? To which I replied, The light above the register isnt on, thats why I asked. She then turned the light on and began ringing my items. No attempt was made to apologize for her rudeness.

Stracks on Broadway and 61st is a terrible store. I feel that they get the scraps from the other stores that are Stracks. Its dirty disorganized but the staff is really nice

I order flowers for a very dear relative on their birthday which happen to be in Hostipal for that special day & my gift was deliver same day much love go out to my helpers that made it happen!!!

Probably the laziest most inconsiderate employees compared to all other stracks locations which usually give superior customer service. Would like to use stracks more with them being locally owned now, but since they closed the south merrillville location it’s just easier to go to meijer than out of my way to this location and get worse customer service. Whole store has a bad smell too which I’ve never encountered at any of there other locations.

They have some of the most choices and varieties of Everything from fruits to cheeses. Thats what makes this store soo good. Its one of the best places to go that has at least three choices of a product AND that helps make it more cost-effective. The food is fresh, they have good deals and regular good sales. The lines are long, some meats are a bit over priced BUT, mostly its a good place to shop.

They are having a theft problem. Went to buy fresh shrimp from counter. They gave me a ticket instead of my shrimp. Went to the line to checkout. This line was slow and took 20 minutes. I was tired and annoyed. I didnt buy my shrimp so i didnt give the clerk my ticket. I end up going to another store that will give me my shrimp in hand. I was not going to have the clerk call the seafood drpartment to bring my shrimp up to the line that would have been another ten minutes. I will not be back

Great Customer Service & Everything Is So Clean & Tidy

I like the fact they hire people with special needs. Some of the workers have indifferent attitudes and they need to teach the baggers how to properly bag groceries. You dont put glass jars and cans on bread and chips and you dont put three large juices in one bag???

Staff was friendly and wore masks. Not many shoppers wore their masks

It was social distancing, clean and no wait outside. The got reasonable prices and great customer service. I recommend the ppl come here to do their grocery shopping.

The smell is the first and most notable turn off. Closely followed by the almost constant rotting meats and vegetables. The safest thing you could buy from this store would be the plastic bags on the way out. Everything is ALWAYS expired or rotten. Very disgusting WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I found spaetzle noodles. Pinky store that had them. Got under 12 items . short wait friendly cashier and bagger got in and out. The one on 39th ave. In Hobart. None of other stracks Merrillville, or the one on Ridge Road in HOBART.

Lot of different options, lot of different cheese, literally, every cheese possible, always out of Tyson Buffalo chicken wings, upsetting but true, but a good store to shop at none the less. They do have self checkout to keep yourself a little safer from Covid-19.

This is not my main go to grocery store, but they are dependenable for items that cant be found at Ruler Foods or Aldi. They always have such great deals on items, that when I only come in for one item I usually end up leaving with more. Just cant pass it up!

Love my Stracks! However strongly feel mask should be required to keep the spread at a minimum. Especially for all of workers n the manager for their safety as well. Really appreciate the cart sanitation that they have going.

I live down the street from the highland store, but i go to aldi on ridge. I will also, drive to the strack & van til in Merrillville on Broadway, or i will go to the country fresh market in gary. I literally hate the strack & van til in highland, on cline and 45th.

They carry some food that I cant find at other places, like turkey sausage patties. Personally, their prices are too high.

They allways have deals on everthing like they are the real goats of the grocery line.

This store puts me in the mind of a low budget Aldi. Although the produce is priced competitively and the meat looks desirable, Im not certain I will return u less I just happen to be in the area.

Long lines and slow staff. Prices arent that great. A common chain conveniently located in most towns around NWI.

If was trouble, Long lines (only 3 cashier) Also the Store Manager would not o/r could not come to your line to help the customer in front of me. Not good, if took way to much time - with the Covid-19 around you want to get & out A.S.A.P !
