One of my favorite places to eat of all time. Literally can eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommend ordering spinach pie and meat pie.

Great place to shop for Lebanese groceries. Prices are nice and so is the flat bread and pizzas!

Good selection of mid-eastern groceries. Did not see any ready to eat food. We were there at lunch time. There was a counter but it did not appear to be in use.

Very good food quality, tried zaatar pie and was delicious and fresh,, only it is little pricey than other Mediterranean stores .. compare it with baiz as an example food and groceries at baiz cheaper.

The owner who wears glasses is abusive and violent. Please be safe when entering this bakery. The owner has anger issues, and harassed my family and I. We came from California to have “delicious” food here, but the owner became aggressive with us while we were patiently waiting for our food.

Delicious flat breads, the meat one is simple fantastic! They bake everything fresh, the dough is thin and crispy and the spice mixtures are rich and so flavorful.

Has decent selection of goods. One thing that I noticed is the place is cluttered. They have a brick oven to bake several different type of vegetables, meats, and cheese pies which I highly recommended. Their bakery hrs 9-5

The distinct flavor of a true souq. Mingled spice aromas of black pepper, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, fenugreek aromas . Aisles filled with packed and unpacked jar and canned goods. Little treasures tucked here and there.I can only hope that the pandemic doesnt undermine the foot traffic Shamy needs to stay in business.So much thats sourced directly from different regions in Lebanon, Turkey(?),Jordan (?), and elsewhere.A lesson in the universal appeal of different cuisines and cultures.

Thx for bringing a little bit of Syria to Mesa.Update Shamys ovens are off due to COVID 19. However, the GREAT news is Shamy Market & Bakery was going to start selling fresh produce, red thyme (Zaatar). Most of the pictures of the counters with Baklava & other Mediterranean pastry are no longer being made; and were taken prior to COVID 19. :(September 2020My last trip in the store maybe my last trip. Im not sure how to explain the change; but we purchased (2) Za atar to go and there was no tomato, cucumber, or mint. A small pita with some Zaatar spice. We were shocked, and the father seems to have lost his customers service incentive.The daughters have always treated us well; but it may be time for the pa pa to take a break.With that explained, it would help to know what the store plans to due post COVID 19? Ex: One day we are told we could start getting produce & the next time we called or come in we are told something different!I pray 🙏 and hope Shamy Market & Bakery comes back stronger and better. Until that time my rating has dropped to two stars!

This was a great find .. if youre in the area looking for a quick bite .. check this place out. Its located in the big lots shopping center and the sign says Market & Bakery.. but they have a little sit down dining area that serves up some delicious affordable food.. The girl working the counter was very kind and helpful.. she explained the menu to me in a way I could understand.. this is like flat bread or like thin crust pizza.

My mom and I found this market while shopping at the Big Lots near the Fiesta Mall shopping center. It is family owned and has all sorts of food and home items from the Middle East. It also has a bakery. My mom and I ordered some food and it was excellent! The price of the bakery food is awesome as well. We also bought some middle eastern treats. They were delicious with our tea and coffee.We will definitely be going back. The family who runs the store is really nice and helpful. The food is excellent. This is such a unique store. I highly recommend checking it out.

Went for mate and also bought flat bread and cheese. It was delicious with our salmon Alicia prepared. Very nice Mediterranean market.

Their flat breads are delicious. You can get anything you can imagine stuffed into their bread and made into a Mediterranean calzone of sorts. We had no complaints about the food or service here. Super fast and friendly! We will be back, for sure!!!

We have been driving by this place for over a year. We decided to finally check it out today. Dont be fooled by the sign out front. They make what I can only describe as middle eastern style flatbread pizzas. We tried the hummus and the lebni special which has lebni, tomatoes, cucumber and mint. They tasted fresh! They also have a market with different spices, candies, dairy and breads. Not expensive at all.

We had a great visit to this clean Mesa middle eastern restaurant/ grocery, warmly greated by a friendly staff, who promptly took our order and offered warm tea while we waited for our food, quick service, delicious cuisine, very generous and satisfying portions, well priced and very affordable. It was a pleasure and will definitely visit again.

Nice little market with a good variety of things: frozen falafel, date paste, saffron, etc. Delicious baklava and zaatar pita baked right in front of you! But if youre looking for fresh produce or meat, they dont have that here.

Zataar with cheese : tasted dry. Was a unique experience to my taste buds. Kinda tangy and bitter. Muhammara with cheese : prolly best one of the two I ordered. Mild spicy flatbread. I guess this is red pepper hummus. Deliciously simple flatbread packed with flavor! Will definitely be back. They gave an assortment of imported drinks with many delicious flavors. You must try the Guava drinks.

I found this place by mistake and bought over $60 worth of food. With my purchase I bought Lebanese sausage (m3anic) I came home and froze them because I was told they were fresh. Today I took them out to cook some, God behold they smelled so bad and some runny mucus on them. There goes my cost. I will never go there again that’s for sure.
