This book store was amazing! The only thing I can say bad is it was not organized for easy finds you really had to look everywhere to had what you may have wanted. This book store could be awesome if it more organized. I recommend it if you want to really hunt and hopefully find what you are looking for.

Now, I have to admit, I do not frequent Mesquite as often as Id like, but thanks to a specific employee at this bookstore, I will be making the journey to come to this establishment as often as I can. I have not seen him in awhile, Atlas was his name, but I am sure hes off doing incredible things with his life. A bright young spirit looking to tackle anything the world throws his way. He made my shopping experiance all the better with his amazing recommendations, enticing summaries, and just general amazing atmosphere in the store. I cant wait to come back in, and hopefully, if hes there, itll make the trip worth it. Atlas keeps this place to the best of its abilities and I hope to see him again soon.

An out of the way location, but well worth stopping in if youre a book lover. The interior is pretty cramped in spots, but only due to all the books!They have an extremely reasonable trade-in policy, which has made sure theyre the only people I trade in my media to anymore (and make me regret every giving anything to Half Price Books!). While I might not go in and find any exact book off my wishlists, I can always find plenty of interesting books to pick up! And with trade-in credit, they end up so cheap that I can come out with an armful for the same price I might pay for one new book.

Was a little bummed at first to find my favorite bookstore was no longer in Mesquite. But to my pleasant surprise the new proprietor aka The Book Co is even better. Be patient for they are going through a transition of remodeling. Clearing out the old clutter and allowing a person to peruse their numerous selection of books without a feeling that a dementor might pop out any moment from a cover of Harry Potter. If the rumors are correct the building right next(also owned by the Book Co) to the bookstore will be a coffee shop!! Legal stimulants and great prices on books...heck yes!

I live in South Texas but everytime I come visit family in Dallas this store is a must to shop. Lots of variety of books at a great price.

I love everything about this store. The staff is very friendly and they have a huge selection, from books to movies to 8track and vinyl they have everything lol. I’ve been shopping here since I was little. Highly recommend.

I love this store. I have been purchasing books here for over 35 years. I would bring my daughter with me when she was young and we would spend time together looking for just the right book. Now she is an adult and we both still love the store. Lots if books. Lots of fun.

Lovely store! So many options! As one who only buys hardbacks, I was nervous, but do not be fooled, the plus includes many hardbacks! Quite a dangerous place for me to walk into as I cant leave without filling 3 bags full of books at least. Excellent selection and always something new and interesting. You can tell everyone involved with the place loves books and music. One of my favorite places in the DFW area.

Ive liked other locations better, but this wasnt bad. Good parking. Not well sorted though, so that was frustrating. Too much romance garbage and not enough sci fi and fantasy. Friendly enough.

They have a much larger selection than you would think as you approach the building from the outside. I was looking for a particular title and while it wasnt available, the lady helped me look, and even contacted some of their other locations. In the mean time, we had a nice friendly chat. This is a store I have passed on many occasions, going in was like finding a little treasure. I hope as Mesquite renovates the downtown area that many more people will discover the same.

OMG this was an amazing bookstore that my dad would frequently take me to as a child when we lived in mesquite. We would spend hours here together. The memories!! I am so amazed and thrilled to see that it’s still here more than 25 years later!!!

I have purchased and traded books at this store for over 30 years. Prices are extremely reasonable and the selection is good. Its like a treasure hunt! They have at least two other locations and customers are able to use trade-in credit at all of them.

This is an old fashioned used book and media store. My wife and girls love it to the books, I love it for the music. They have CDs, DVDs, albums, and even some 78s. Comics, magazines, kids, teens and books for adults. The best part is that the prices are a fraction of Half Price.

Blows any book store away, way cheaper too i just bought a 4 book YA series and Pride and Prejudice for only 15 dollars. 3 dollars s book!!! Theres so many things all over its like a maze of books and with walls and walls of books from top to bottom. It has a vintage feels/smell but they have good quality. Amazing.

I called HalfPrice books just to see what the price difference would be and they told me that it was $19.99 and they could ship it to me for an additional $4.99 because they didnt have it in stock at that location! HA. Paperbacks plus is my new favorite place.

As a kid, I loved going to Paperbacks Plus with my family. This place is covered, floor to ceiling, in thousands of books. The store offers generous student discounts (high schoolers take note), which meant we often carted home dozens of books without breaking the bank. It attracts a magical crowd as well. When I turned 14, a fellow shopper used his store credit to buy me East of Eden as a birthday present - which is the type of thing that only happens in local bookstores which value connection to their communities. Its a readers paradise, a hidden gem of Mesquite. As an adult, Ive yet to find a bookstore that evokes those same feelings of wonder and togetherness. Heres hoping it stays open for many more years to come.

Three stars, to be nice. Large selection, but the physical facility is lacking. I know the focus should be on the books and such, but the smell is strong and, for me, unpleasant. The restroom and ceiling need updating. Also, need better labeling of the genres and subjects.I did, however, overhear a customer-employee conversation and the customer was a repeater who knew the employee well.
