So when I read the comments the most common thing thats said is no one is friendly and I never got that impression. Ive been there twice and they greeted me each time and they answered whatever question I had. Super clean shop, well organized. I will definitely go back.

This place is the best. They have a ton of comics but also oddities, puzzles, fun snacks, and games that are updated often for people who may not necessarily be into comics. Its clear the owner cares about his employees and the atmosphere is great.As a local small business it cant be beat. They host fun events and contests throughout the year (pre-covid times) on anniversaries, holidays, free comic book day, etc. and if youre lucky you get to see a special guest employee for the event and its always a pleasure.

Erin and Josh were tremendously helpful. They went above and beyond with their customer service, even offering to stay later to help me. Ill definitely be back!

When I called the store to see if they had a particular comic, I was answered with a sarcastic remark. That was strike one. The guy working there didn’t want some of in his words “his stuff” to get damaged. Lastly he was rude when asked about where a particular comic was. It was my first time going and it’s the last time too.

The person working there never spoke to me or asked if I needed any help... it wasnt busy. While i was there one or two people strayed in and out... regulars Im guessing because he spoke to them right away. I felt shunned, like I didnt belong there. Not a great experience!!

Large selection of new comics. They didnt just have Marvel and DC either, they have stuff from Image and other creator owned comics. The staff knew their comics and were pleasant to talk to. Would definitely buy comics here again next time Im in mesquite.

I have tons of them my friend grandpa gave me very old and mostly Marvin Marvels and DC one of every kind of everything I think made lots of good ones the Hawk superwoman I mean everyone you can even imagine Spider-Man Superman just all old-school from 1940s I think maybe 30s

Im not even a big comic book fan, but this place is awesome!! The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I like to pick up Funko Pops and they typically have a great selection.

Im giving the place 3 stars. My reason for this is simple. Although 50% of the time the employees are fantastic. I feel very welcome, not to name names however but the other 50% of the time a different batch of employees come on, and are very rude and self centered. It depends.Id rather drive to Texas toy soldier though. Better employees, better service, and better selection.

Well organized store my major issue here is with a sales clerk who refuses to sell 2 copies of a book. As I have until now been in a place where they qont let you know it what and however many you want. So Im searching for a store where I can buy 1 for each of my kids.

Took my nephew(6yo) for Free Comic Day, as hes just getting started in comic books. I had never been here before, as I go to Zeus Comics in Dallas as its closer to where I live, but it was the closest comic book store to him. I was concerned about some reviews regarding rude employees. My review is based on just this one visit, but I didnt experience any rudeness. Employees were all very friendly to us, and they had a good selection of comic books, toys, and board games(although most of the board games were way above his level). If my nephew wants more comics, Ill take him back to this store.

An excellent comic and game shop. This is the place that leans more toward comic than games, but youd be surprised at the breadth and depth! Pokemon TCG, Magic TCG, Munchkin and more. Some game playing space in the back and a friendly vibe make it a browsers dream.

Nice little place. Pricing is comparative to most gaming shops and the selection is really good. The store is not that big, but while other shops fill thier space with collectables and memorabilia, Urban Legends lines thier walls with games and comics that youll actually buy. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and could recommend a good list of games that I would be interested in. Would definitely recommend if youre in the area looking for something new to try.

Went here for some dnd supplies after 2 other comic book stores and HPB had none. Great selection of comics and game materials. The guy working on 6/9 around ~5 PM was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be going back when I need more campaign books or dice.

Very small comic and game shop . Staff is very knowledgeable and if they dont have it in stock they will get it for you . They also run Magic the Gathering every Friday night and Pokemon on Sundays .

The staff is so so so so so nice. When I walk in someone immediately gets my pulls for me without even having to ask my name. The only comic shop out of three that Ive been to that sells older issues at cover price-- the two others charge extra. They also sell Corrose Designs comic boxes, which is a local thing and theyre the only place ive seen to sell them. The staff is super catering and on halloween they dress up and I think its awesome. One of my favorite places in Dallas. I can honestly say that theyre the best comic store Ive ever been in, and ive been to dozens.

Excellent FNM & Pre-Release events! These guys really know their stuff and are very welcoming to new players. Furthermore, the usual FNM crowd is great and very easy to get along with. Would definitely recommend to anyone near the Mesquite area!

Me and my little brother would sometimes go here to either look for Card sleeves or to play Yu-gi-oh. Well, the reason why we stop coming is because some of the employees(not to say any names) will be rude and disrespectful. Im from Mesquite, and it seems like this is the only store close by that actually sells very decent merchandise. But my experiences were very awful and I rather drive all the way to Rowlett to have better service. This place really had potential, but i just feel its being plagued by self-centered employees. I am very disappointed.
