So I just recently started shopping here because of the low prices unfortunately I have not come across a helpful employee yet. Today I witnessed a very older gentleman ask for help looking for a light bulb, asked three different employees all of them walked away letting him know the aisle number him barely explaining that he had been down the aisle and he just needed more help finally on the third person he asked he was defeated and just left the store. I find this utterly disgusting that you couldnt help an person, walk them walk them to an aisle point them to a specific product they were looking for, especially an older person obviously a veteran on memorial Day.

Went and purchased a generator. The staff was on point. Talked to one of the managers for like 30 mins. Very helpful. The whole team won. No complaints and very clean store. 👌

I went to the Harbor Freight location in Mesquite Texas on 08/11/2020 to return a defective inverter one week and 1 day after purchase date. Jeff at this location told me that the purchase has to be refunded the way that it was purchased (debit in this case) . Jeff also told me that the refund would reflect the next day. I asked about a cash refund and Jeff remained adamant about the policy stating the return must be processed on the manner of purchase. I say ok the wait will only be one day, as Jeff stated. Jeff hands me the return transaction receipt and the return policy itself is on the rear of receipt and clearly Jeff is lying about 2 things. I wonder, is there a motive for stores to not want to do returns? Regardless, its unacceptable to lie intentionally to customers and after calling corporate to inform them of Jeffs behaviour, I packed up most all recent purchases from harbor freight and returned them to Jeffs store out of frustration because I can handle a policy, but a blatant lie I can not and refuse to pay for rude and customer. Ill rebuy all of my purchases at northern tool even if its more expensive. I will pay to not be lied to and treated like a paying consumer.

I love harbor freight, some of their stuff is junk, obviously they have a reputation for cheap throwaway tools. But as long as you know what youre doing they have some surprisingly good deals on certain items that are good quality, cheap, and reliable. Floor jacks, hand tools, bullet levels, shop presses, etc. are great buys. As long as you stay away from big power tools like bandsaws and stuff you should get your moneys worth.

If it wasnt for the employees, specifically the cashiers, this place wouldnt deserve 3 stars. Everyday is a sale or clearance. Different stores have different deals so unless you travel to other states the store wont honor that deal. My store happens to only have the little items on clearance.

Harbor freight is pretty good on many of their things. many of their tools are throw away one time use tools but you get what you pay for. This location is well kept. I recommend this location.

Tool store? Check. I like this place but be careful what you purchase here not all products are created equal. Id say avoid things near the register as Ive been burnt by a couple of them. The power tools Ive found are great for home use I wouldnt use them in a work habit or day in and day out use.. also am extended protection plan are just a few dollars on most items Ive bought one and my tool outlasted the warranty. Harbor Freight in Mesquite, Tx. Bought an Electric Drain Auger, brought it home and used it about ten minutes and it quit. Took it back immediately with the receipt and they didnt drag out a manager or anything like that; they just replaced it. I used the second one twice now for a couple of hours of running it and it has been just perfect for my jobs. Cant brag on the service, so I suggest research what you need first and know what you are looking for. Great prices.

Cheap tools and yet they do have warranty. Definatly not Snap On or Matco quality but so cheap you got your money worth by the time they broke. Yet ask me how many tools i broke and they still honored the warranty lol.

As the cashier was ringing me out I asked him to give me a minute to find a coupon or special with air compressor I was purchased was not good on the air compressors straight forward and quit to tell me that I cant get 20% off on air compressor... I purchased it anyway at full price I was doing a job off site 50 miles from home the air compressor did not work I put my multimeter on the plug wires use one on the plug wire and one on the ground and it shows the engine is grounded here I am on site can I use with the air compressor brand new I just bought imagine how I feel thanks Harbor Freight

Perhaps that store has improved in my absence though.Same old deal though.... advertised “Sale Prices” are mostly the sameitems at the same prices every month. The store was very clean and tidy. As I was checking out I informed the cashier that I was a veteran, hoping to hear that they honor veterans with a small discount. But unfortunately all I heard was that they only do that once a year. Now I understand that this policy was not her policy but that of the companies I asked for a manager to see if he thought that my brothers and sisters gave the ultimate sacrifice just on a certain day of the year, needless to say he was dumbfounded, and had no reasponce. I promise to never shop this store chain ever again. I personally honor our senior citizens daily. It makes me sick to know that my brothers and sisters and I dont get that same recognition.
