Do not go here. I went in to get my front tires replaced and they turned me away after I waited an hour, advising that I didn’t need new tires.Within a week, one of my tires was not holding air. I went back in, and spoke with the same employee as the previous week, who now advised I needed 2 new front tires.He acknowledged he remembered me from the previous week, and then rudely tried explaining tire wear to me and advised that I had worn my tires down within one weeks time to the point that I NOW needed tires.Do NOT go here.

This shop is amazing I’ve never came to an auto repair shop with the stress and anxiety of repairs. When I arrived I was greeted politely and Jesse god bless his soul melted away my worries him and the guys were very friendly straight forward and even showered and explained in depth the issues I needed done. These guys are very competent and informative. A lot of people have a trusted mechanic they come to and these guys are it, I’d recommend them to anyone and everyone. THANK YOU GUYS!

Had a 9:00 oil change appointment. Was told to have a seat upon arrival because the computer was down and that there was one person in front of me. The man proceeded to see and help 3 others without even acknowledging me. I sat a hour and a half then when I’d asked how much longer the wait will be I was told 45 mins for brakes (Brakes were never mentioned) had me waiting over a hour and didn’t even know why i was there. Once informed again i was waiting for a oil change he offered to give me a call when he’d be able to do it. I’ll take my services elsewhere

My check engine light was on so I decided to stop up at Midas. Got about $1,700 worth of work done. Just to Drive about 70 miles and then the check engine light came back on I called them up they said to bring it in they got the check engine light off again.But heres what I found out they said that I needed a new catalytic converter it would cost me a thousand bucks for the catalytic converter in about 500 to install it they also said that I needed a belt and that it would cost about two hundred bucks to install so I had them do the work. Everything seems fine after I left up my check engine light kept coming back on so I decided to go to another mechanic shop. Come to find out all the mechanic did was take a piece of pipe and weld it where my catalytic converter was supposed to go.Come to find out the old catalytic converter its probably worth $1,000 let alone I paid $1,000 for a new one I also found out they didnt even replace my belt so I paid $200 for a belt and installation fee. The mechanic made off with $2,700 off of me and my car all I got was a $2 piece of pipe in a very bad welding job.And when I bring my car up there and confront him on what has happened he said because I took it to the other mechanic shop there was nothing they can do because they were the ones that probably stoled it. But what he doesnt realize is at the other mechanic shop I was standing there the whole time and watching them look at my car and thats all they did was look at it and told me what was wrong and showed me what was wrong. Thats a great scam you guys have going on there you guys need to watch out for the mechanics the one that worked on my car I believe his name was Jack.

Be wary if you are a woman. My husband recommended this place to me but I did not receive the treatment he does. They put in nearly $2,000 worth of work and I’m still having the same issue. They tell me to bring my car back and they don’t even look at it for an entire day while my husband gets immediate service. They tell me they’re going to call by a certain time and I end up having to repeatedly call them for status updates. I don’t trust that they even put in the work that they claimed to.

I got a 2008 Ford sport trac and they put a new manifold on and they did a outstanding job.Truck runs really good since they fixed it and they got it done when they told me.I would highly recommend this place.Just ask for Jesse he very nice and professional.

BEWARE BEWARE! I GOT A TUNE UP DONE 4/20/21 AND A CAM SENSOR, I RECEIVED MY CAR BACK JUST FOR IT TO GO BACK ON THE 23RD BCUZ I WENT TO GET IN MY CAR N IT WOULDNT START. They replaced the solinoid valve it was supposed to slove the problem it didnt my check engine light was on this was supposed handle tht n my car stopping it didnt my check engine light came back on. Car went back bcuz it cut off on me again they do more work i was to receive my car may 12th I go just to find out my car stopped during a test drive the manger Jesse says I need an engine after putting 6 thousand into this car already just to tell me I need an engine tht was the last time I heard from him. Rode pass twice just to see my car outside for a month no calls to update me nothing. I finally decided the 1st week of June to have my car towed, didnt let them know I was coming bcuz by this point my car had been in there possession for a month with no word frm them. I go to get my car n they initially couldnt find my keys and couldnt tell me y my car wasnt starting get it to the other shop just 4 them to tell me my engine is locked. MIDAS LOCKED MY ENGINE I KNOW IT TO B THEM BCUZ U CANT DRIVE A CAR LIKE THT. MY CAR WAS DRIVIABLE B4. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. ADVOID THIS PLACE. IF THE PPL OF MICHIGAN CITY ACTUALLY POSTED REVIEWS ULL SEE THT MIDAS HAS A HORRIBLE REPUTATION, ULL B BETTER TAKING YOUR VEHICLE TO APEX OR MTI OR FIRESTONE, OR EVEN DAVIDS! Scam artist extraordinaire. This man tried to take advantage of my grandmother. He said he would do her trans flush. When i showed up with her car he said he could do it if i signed a weiver relesing him from liability of doing things wrong. I am sure he would have scammed my grandmother if she took the car in. I of course said NO WAY. He is such a bad mechanic he refuses to stand behind his work. He is a con man and should be behind bars far as i can see.

Swapped my engine in my civic. Jesse, the guy at the counter, is the best I’ve seen out of all the areas Midas.

We were in a bind on a holiday weekend, half way through our trip and our alternator died. We were able to make it to a dealership that wasn’t able to promise us that they could get to it that day. Thankfully, we went across the street to Jesse, and he made it happen for us, and he got us back on the road. We couldn’t be more grateful for him and his team!

Overall they are good at other mechanics like brake jobs and stuff. For engine work i dont recommend they improperly diagnosed my vehicle telling me i need this certain thing done. Come to find out i never needed what was replaced. I go back in there all i get is a sorry. They look at it again telling me what i already know. 1 extra star because i use to trust their judgement.

I like this place although I wish there was something better to watch on the TV. I watched this talk show host make unfunny jokes for like 3 hours she was terrible nobody in the shop laughed. Also the bathroom sink only dispenses ice cold water and has little to no water pressure.Despite all this I’d go back and also the guy at the front desk, I think his name is Jessie, is really nice too.

Please dont go to this location!! Went in for an oil change and was playing hip hop, as I walked into the store I overheard a mechanic named Barry talking about how he cant stand my n**er music!!!! I complained to the manager Jesse but he didnt think that it was an issue saying it was a private conversation and dont think he said that. I left without getting my oil changed and seriously had to consider calling a lawyer. This place is absolutely the most unprofessional Midas Ive ever been to. I wonder if African Americans get the same quality service as others...I highly doubt it!

Last year in May, I called for an oil change and transmission fluid change and at first I believe they said I didn’t need an appointment or something, however, the guy then took my name and vehicle information down and said I could come in at 2PM.When I got there, the same guy was there and he told me there was no appointment under my name and that they were jam packed so there’s no way he gave me a green light for a 2PM appointment.I was like okay, what are your earliest next appointment dates and they said they’re closed for Memorial Day. So I asked okay what’s good after that and he visibly got annoyed and just handed me his card and said “Look man, just call this number and we’ll work something out”.I thought it was rather unprofessional of the staff, but I’m giving a 3 star because I had a good experience a year before.

I highly recommend Midas! I was in and out within an hour. Service was fast and efficient. Great customer service as well.. the employees are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!!

They are super helpful here, always trying to make sure you get the best price. They once sent me to a junk yard to get a part to try fixing something myself instead of charging me a bunch for their time.

Great Experience!!! I been without a front light for a little over a week. My last place I went to said I needed a new pigtail. I found out here that wasn’t true, I was even shown what was wrong, just a bad bulb pigtail was fine. My last mechanic was still ordering a part a week later and again a part I didn’t even need. I recommend and will be back!

I was in about a week ago for an estimate on front end noise on my car, was told I needed cv axles and brakes, rotors and calipers, $1600 ok I go in to pick up my car and Jesse tells me all done and then tells me you know that job was under the table, that was the only way I could get it done so cheap, so I leave to find that the problem isnt fixed, too mad to take it back to this crooked business, my subframe was rotted through, real nice thorough inspection, time to get an attorney involved, midas please contact me regarding this matter!

I went in there today and asked about an oil change. I let them know Jiffy Lube is taking longer and wanted to see if he can get me in right away since I was on lunch. Jesse was great and he threw in a coupon. Great service and would go back there every time.

Came in with what I thought was a dead battery. They said it was the alternator and it would be $1800 and almost a week to get a new one. I was told repeatedly that it would be the same price anywhere I went and the car was too run down to get anywhere else so theres no point in trying. I got a bad feeling about the place (anytime somebody makes a point to tell you how honest they are, its time to worry) and decided to roll the dice and head over to the nearby Honda dealership instead (the car made it there fine). There I got the new alternator and other work done for a total price of $700 and a much shorter time frame. I am so glad I got out of this slimy place

Had to get my breaks looked at. Jesse was honest, open, and did a very good job with explaining and showing what was wrong and how it has to be rrprepai. This location is an hour away from my home, but he was so great that any of the future work we need done on our vehicles will be done here. If you see this Jesse, thanks for being awesome.

Great service, and they do a good job, but I was charged $74 for a simple oil change. The Midas I usually go to does the same oil change (synth blend) for $35...and I wasnt told about the difference until the job was done, as this Midas doesnt have you sign a quote before they start working. Partly my fault for assuming the prices would be in the same ballpark as at home...but make sure you get an exact quote before they pull your car in!

I called at 8:30AM to see if they could do an oil change last minute. Jesse advised that he was booked but to call back around 2 to see if he could squeeze me in. I called back at 1:40 to see if they werent busy. He told me to come in around 3. I went in 20 minutes before 3 and was told the shop would be closed the rest of the day and I could be fit in on Friday. Had Jesse said this from the beginning instead of having me make a trip for nothing, I couldnt care less. Make sure you make an appointment if you want an oil change. Youre better off spending a few extra dollars and going to Jiffy Lube if you need it done quick.

Jesse is a straight shooter and doesnt beat around the bush. Showed us exactly what was wrong and what would need done before doing rather extensive work in a short amount of time. I live an hour away, but I think Ill be returning for future work!

My brakes went out in Buffalo Michigan there was no one there to put him on a Saturday morning and he was the closest 1 to me I made it to him and he was able to fix my brakes and everything else that was wrong with no problem didnt have to wait for someone else or anything like that car running good now very polite and professional

Every time Ive brought my car in I have been told that they are too busy to take me. After hearing this multiple times, when there seem to be an expected amount of cars for a car shop, I took my business elsewhere. Never have I had a car shop not even offer a different time or day to bring my car to them.

Jessie took time to show and explain that I needed a converter that was already starting to burn. Stands behind his quotes. Notified when they had to delay service because of delay in getting part in time.

Had the car towed to Midas in Michigan City. We spent 680. on wires, spark plug, and a battery. Fifteen minutes after my son drove away, car began to smoke. Two days later, Midas towed it back only to find out there was no coolant and now the engine is ruin. Cost another 80. to tow it home. Dont believe anything these people say! We were told the car was fine. What a scam!

Came in without an appointment, was told twenty minutes before they could look at it, maybe up to an hour. No problem, went to get food, came back over an hour later: no work done. Waited for ten minutes at the counter, finally an employee came in. Same guy, said they havent looked at it yet. I asked him how long, he said he couldnt say. I said its been well over an hour, he said well you didnt have an appointment. ??? I said I understand that, thats why I came in and was willing to wait. Long story short, dude was pretty rude from start to finish, didnt even stay to get it done. Awful customer service, will never come back.

Jessie gave me a great price. I was skeptical at first thinking I was just being up sold but after calling around I found he was incredibly fair and beat everyone elses price.

So disappointed went in with what I TOLD them was a bad strut/strut mount because my car sound like it was hitting/clunking was told it was sway-bar bushings & links charged me 450$ picked up car 4 hours later still not fixed car still making same noise & was then told yes you do need a new strut after I told them that’s what it was but you know they will rob you with no sympathy So now about to be out ofAnother 300 for struts & labor will never go here again If I could give 0 stars I would

Went to Midas for a small exhaust leak. They told me because my car was foreign the entire exhaust system would need to be replaced for $900+. Then I took it to Pro Muffler in Benton Harbor and they replaced the leaky flex pipe for $175!

Very honest people. I thought my muffler was bad, it was just a heat shield. No charge even! I couldnt believe that part!

They told me it would be $25 for an oil change, & charged me $40, they micro charge. $6 for paper matte (did not use), $8 to overfill fluids that were already full. They told me I had a large oil leak and shouldnt drive it home. The oil leak was very small did not need repair it be repaired right away.
