I got a small script tattoo that was done really well and my cousin got a belly button piercing. They fit us in quickly and did an excellent job. Very relaxed, homey shop with dope artists and awesome owner. Will be back for another whenever Im back in New York and my cousin who lives here will exclusively go there for her piercings.

I went in to get my belly and nose pierced and Cheryl was on of the sweetest people you will meet. She will inform you and answer all your questions before she give you the piercings. The piercings weren’t even as painful as I thought they would be and I would definitely go there one day for another piercings or tattoo. :)

This is the nicest piercing/tattoo shop Ive ever been to. For some reason I always got the impression that tattoo shops were unfriendly places, but this place is a gem. Cheryl was sweet and everything was super clean and professional. Ill definitely be coming back in the future.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is scared to get any part of their body pierced!! My body artist was so informative, walked me through step by step before she did anything! She is so sweet and caring! She actually care about your body and will go as slow as you need and will answer any silly question you might have. Definitely coming back when i need the rings changed!

Had a great first time experience with the shop! Both artists we met were friendly and chill, and helped make my previously non-tattooed friend feel comfortable. Kenny was super easy to work with and made sure everything was just what we wanted. All the work space and machinery was sanitary, prices were good, and my friend and I are happy with our pieces. I went to Sub Q as just a walk in with my friend. We both were getting piercings. We were sat by a gentleman who told us that Cheryl was alone today and that she’d be sometime because she was tattooing someone already. We didn’t have to wait long at all. It was quick. Cheryl finished the customers tattoo and greeted us with a big smile. She treated us so well and did an awesome job. She’s just amazing. The entire time she was so kind to us. It was one of my best experiences. I’m definitely coming back to see Cheryl for a tattoo. She is Absolutely fantastic.

I got my nose pierced here last December. Cheryl is an AMAZING piercer who truly knows her stuff! She was very cautious about sanitation as she made sure everything was clean and proper. This is the only place I trust to get any piercings done. She made it a great experience. She’s also open to answering any questions or concerns. Cheryl is really kind and helpful! Tom was excellent! Came in as a walk in and once I arrived, we got started. ! Tom was very nice, calm and accommodating! I felt welcome and I wasn’t brushed aside when other customers came in. Tom made me feel super important and valued. The shop in general was a little cluttered, but it wasn’t filthy. The tattooing stations are crowded as well, but not uncomfortable. I highly recommend Sub Q tattoo! Thank you Tom for a good experience!

Cheryl is great and has always treated me well. There is quite a turnover in artists though, it seems, so no idea who will be there and when if one walks in.There don’t seem to be any female artists there lately which is such a shame. They do have a nice little area if people have to wait.I really wish it was easier to get work done here, as i like the place and i like the owner.The work produced here is on par with any of the local places, better than most actually, and for the most part the staff here have a much better attitude than the other local places. The owner certainly is nicer than any other place I’ve been around middletown.

While the atmosphere is certainly one to enjoy. I’m not pleased with the job Danny did. He did not adhere to the photograph given to him.

Cheryl did a private piercing of mine recently and she was amazing, by the book and very informative, very happy I went to her and will be back for my more extreme piercings!

Great place! These guys explained everything. They showed me dates on sterilization so I knew that the needles were good, and my tattoo came out AMAZING ! The staff was so wonderful in helping me carry out the design process! They did exactly what I asked for! I would highly recommend this place! Ill be going back again!

Cheryl has been doing my friends’ tattoos since we were 18 and she’s even helped me change out certain piercings that I was confident in doing myself. Sub Q to me has always been one of the best spots in Orange County to get any ink work or any piercings done and the shop itself is 110% sanitary as well as it has the friendliest artists I’ve ever met. I went into Sub Q tonight to see Cheryl for piercings with pretty high expectations, since a close family friend raved about her. And surprisingly, she exceeded all those expectations. Cheryl was extremely thorough, completely sanitary, and an all around pleasure to be with. She is so beyond personable & feiendly that you leave there feeling as if youve made a great new friend. For my future piercings & tattoos, I will be going back to Sub Q, and I suggest others to do the same.

My first time getting a tattoo and it went great. Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.

I called about an hour ahead of time and let the place know that I am interesting in getting a nose piercing. I am 18 so when I walked in one of the workers gave me a contract to get mine and my parents signature which is mandatory for minors. Multiple times a few workers asked us if we were being helped and I appreciate that. They required my mom and Is photo ID. After that, we were quickly brought to a piercing room and my piercer, Lokio, walked me through every step, making sure I understood everything and was visually aware that his products were cleaned. He let me choose a variety of colors for the stud- the last piercing shop I went to, they didnt give me any options and didnt explain much. This was a very comfortable experience because everyone was friendly and making sure I was well-informed. Lokio is funny and honest, patient, and the piercing looks great. He gave me a sheet of thorough instructions and I didnt have to waste money on buying a solution; he gave instructions on how to make a simple one at home. I recommend Subq because of the friendly environment and respectful, informative delivery of the procedure. Thanks!

When I went there it was amazing, I felt welcome and the price was low, lower then most tattoo places have told me. I had a tragus piercing done out of state and 2 weeks later the piercing came out. In a panic I googled shops near me and thankfully came across Sub Q. Cheryl answered and told me exactly what I needed to do and gave me great advice. Due to circumstances I couldnt get to the shop for about a week but Cheryl was amazing and completely accessible. When We finally got to meet and she was able to put in new jewelry she was so kind and friendly. I felt like I had known her forever! I am really grateful to have met her and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a piercing.

I have read the reviews of this Sub Q tattoo Studio. THose of you who wont leave names I feel like you are leaving spiteful in approriate tattos because you do not have the courage to leave information to correct the problem or you are hiding from something. I have been in the studio, its decorated beautifully, its clean and always a pleasent atmosphere.
