I have been going to the Middletown Vision Works for years and I do not have one single complaint! I actually think very highly of this location and the overall service, customer service, and selection of glasses to choose from are all exceptional. I would highly recommend to those who are looking for professional, consistent and high quality service.

Outstanding!!!! Im from out of state, 45 mins before a wedding, suffered an eyeglass casualty, showed up asked for assistance. Staff replaced my eyeglass pads, couldnt have been more helpful!!!!!

Not 100% sure why this place only has 3.3 stars. I guess some ppl have different experiences...I thought the service was fantastic and professional and would recommend this location to anyone who needs/wants eyewear. They work with the customer and make sure you know exactly what your buying. Kathy is ESPECIALLY patient and friendly! (thank you again Kathy!) My eye exam was as quick as it could be, but also thorough - and the optician didnt mind going back and fourth between different setting for me...I can be indecisive at times...Overall i give this location 5 starts and would give more if I could. Its a place to get glasses, and I received exactly the type of service one would expect from a professional location - Great!

Do not recommend. Walked in to look at frames. The store was completely empty besides the salespeople chatting. They told me I needed an appointment before I could look at the frames, I asked if I could make an appointment now but they told me “no it had to be scheduled”.However, I was able to check their prices online and they are *significantly higher* than local prices in the area. Do not go here.

I was extremely pleased with Visionworks, in particular with Dr. Sousa! I had a concern that I felt needed immediate attention. Unable to find an appointment, I happened to call Visionworks and after hearing my symptoms, they fit me in same day. I walked in and as busy as they were, they were gracious and hypervigilant with all CDC cleaning guidelines. When I met with Dr. Sousa, I found her to be exceptional, competent, professional and I felt as though I was in great care!

Been in three times, for purchase and fitting of glasses. Caroline helped me 2X. Had one lady that seemed to be in a rush while having them adjusted. Caroline, on †he other hand, took her time and made the proper adjustments I needed to make the glasses look right. She was amazing ! Will always request Caroline if i can for any future issue.

I will NEVER be coming back here. The staff is very rude and they don’t care about their customers. Also if you look at other stores in the area this place is not only rude but also expensive in comparison. I wouldn’t suggest anyone to go here, I mean unless you like to pay more to be treated poorly.

We had the best experience here. Rachel was amazing went above and beyond for us. I couldn’t be more pleased. Will be a customer here for a long time now.

Front desk staff couldnt answer questions regarding insurance; doctor was rude and rushed and changed prescription for lens without explanation. Lens were overpriced compared to 3rd party vendors. The Seekonk location staff were kinder and more accommodating, so I recommend making the trip there.

Will be switching my whole family here from now on....My 12 yr old broke his glasses on a Friday night. He was extremely distraught as he cant see well at all without them. A friend recommended Vision Works and they did not disappoint. Caroline greeted us immediately and let us know about a special promotion that was being run, got us checked in and helped us pick out frames. She then went out of her way to check that my sons lenses were in stock, and arrange for the new pair to be ready the same day. My son was thrilled! The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. Will be recommending this place to family and friends.

I have been going to this store for more than 20 years. I can say with certainty that under the leadership of Caroline and her team I have had nothing but the best service over the years.I anyone needs a wonderful doctor or need glasses give Caroline and her staff the opportunity to show you what customer service is all about.

The only thing good about this place is the doctor. I was 15 minutes early and was told by TWO staff that I was too early and should go do an errand by one and well youll have to wait by another. I found the office staff rude and condescending. The optician didnt seem to know how to properly fit a frame. My boys both have big heads and she was putting tiny frames on them. One frame was even obviously for a girl! I also wanted to purchase a pair of sunglasses. I was told I could not purchase them, as the lenses were not real. In other words, I would need to spend additional money for real lenses. I will not come back here. This place (I am still here sitting in front of the optician) is a money hungry chop shop!

I love this Visionworks location. The General Manager, Caroline is fantastic! Very helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this location to family and friends.

I have been going to Visionworks in Middletown Ri for a few years now. My most recent experience was on Dec 13 2019.As always there was no waiting for my appointment, they are always punctual.I was seen by Doctor Paradis, the exam was thorough and professional. She forwarded the results of the exam to my primary care doctor.After the exam I met Ms Almedia who assisted men in the selection of the frame and fitted me for the frames and lens.I was notified on Dec 21 that my glasses were ready for pick up which I accomplished on Dec 23. Once again I had no wait and the final fitting which was completed within 15 minutes.I continue to go to Visionworks because there is never an excessive wait for appointments and the staff is always friendly and professional and a minimal wait for glasses.

The receptionist was very rude and not helpful at all. I walked in to get new glasses and she provided no guidance what’s so ever. I would not recommend going here if you’re looking for good customer service.

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND... Extremely unorganized, staff is very unknowledgable, and every visit there was something else wrong. Also, I was told they dont sell contacts by the box anymore unless I was willing to pay an absurd amount of money and was denied a trial pair of contacts while I awaited my prescription. Staff has always given me such a hard time. Save your money and patience and find somewhere with better customer service.

I have been a patient at Vision Works in Middletown for 20 years.I wouldn’t go anywhere else.The customer service is exceptional and their selection in glasses is the best on the island.

I can honestly say I have never had an experience quite like this in a medical office. When did every job become a SALES job?!I came in and asked if they could make me a pair of glasses exactly like the ones I currently had. They insisted, despite already having recently had an eye, that I needed another. Upon completing the exam, they insisted that my prescription had somehow changed that month and completely ignored my request, making me a pair in a totally different prescription with which I was unable to see properly, in a lens type that made the world look like it was inside a fishbowl. (They insisted this new lense type was the “top of the line!”) When I told them I could not see a thing through the lenses, they insisted I was “wrong” and that I needed to try it for a week to adjust. I told them this was totally wrong, and asked again for the correct prescription and the correct material. My replacement pair arrived, and though the prescription was correct, the lenses were AGAIN made of the same garbage the last pair had been. They told me that despite my request, my current lense material was “terrible” and insisted it would melt in the heat and flake apart if I did not pay them to replace it with their top of the line material, neither of which has happened in the decade I’ve owned them. I asked them a final time to just make me a pair of glasses with the exact material and prescription of my current pair. FREAKING AGAIN they made ANOTHER pair of glasses out of whatever junk they’ve been encouraged by corporate to push. AGAIN, they insisted it was superior to plastic despite making everything look distorted, orange, and horrible.I was so angry at the total failure to listen or care, I demanded a refund, only to be rudely told “we’ll see”Avoid this place at all costs. I went to a real eye doctor afterward and was able to get exactly what I was looking for.
