Always a great variety of items. Dependable stock except for Halloween candy. For an area with 90% residence should have more candy lol

This was a great shopping experience. The way the store is laid out makes sense, unlike other local grocers that seem awkward. There is a nice variety of everything...aisles are spacious and a self check out area.

Out of 5 of the other Giants that Ive lived by/frequently visited in the past, this ones the most dirtiest.. but I live close by here now, so its more convenient for me. I dont like the produce because Ive seen a lot of it isnt as fresh/crisp, soggy, moldy etc. I really feel they lack in that area. And as far as Ive seen, theres no legit organic aisle which would be really nice.

Almost always out of produce, it’s a joke. Clearly have no overnight team stocking shelves. Used to be a decent supermarket, has completely fallen off the rails in the past couple years. If you eat healthy and meal prep, this is not the store for you. If you eat junk food and box cereal, this might be your store.

They are always out of stock, especially in the dairy dept.& i dont like the boars head meat very expensive for tasteless lunchmeat

So way overpriced bottle mountain dew $2.39 every place else like $1.78 cereal out of sight so high never go back.justcthink if you overpay for 20 items thats like a hour or more of you working. And its al because they want to want to rip you off. Even acme is cheaper but still to expensive . That why Walmart is packed all the time. Dont let them rip you off.

Was more expensive then food lion but cheaper then acme. Store was clean, great selection. They had cases of toilet paper for $5.00 so I grabbed a case. When I checked out I was told they were actually free!

I go to but a 15 dollar Xbox live card and this old lady that works for the store handles the paying process i the. Wait a weak later to load it for my younger sister to find out that the card wasnt even put through and I want a refund or a free gift card

I just moved to the area and have to say the grocery store selection in this town is pretty abysmal. Ive been to Lidl, Food Lion and Giant and while Giant was the best of the 3, its sorely lacking. Low or out of stock on many items both times Ive been. There was mold on the pasta I purchased (luckily the cashier caught it) and just a lack of overall selection (virtually no seafood selection). Im pretty bummed by the poor quality of Middletowns grocery stores.

I drive 30 mins to come here (used to come here when I lived in Middletown). I can’t give up all of the amazing vegan options and the prices! Walmart and Target don’t come to Giant.

They never seem to know what products they carry. If you go to customer service for information, they will give you a vague answer and point in a general direction for you to look. 😞

For the last 4 months every loaf of bread I have purchased at Giant has been stale. I initially blamed it on Covid until I stopped by Acme. Wonder of wonders the bread I bought was fresh. Giant has become more dirty and lighting as become dimmer in the last year. In addition I have picked up items with an expired date on them. Ive decided to drive the extra mile to Acme. Well worth it.

Currently right now they are letting people in the store right now not wear mask and management allows this while their employees are showing little safety in covid precautions for example taking off there mask for long periods of time. Also going back to management a specific manger there I have seen there also treats her employees like they are garbage and tells them they can not tell people to put a mask on.Honestly disgusted by this place

I went shopping today at Giant. This has to be the worse supermarket. They dont label there vegetables, which makes no sense to me. There shelves were horrible. I will never step into this store ever again. I really need to go back to Wegmans. Best store ever.

I like this store. Serious supply of organic & gluten free groceries in all departments. Nice bakery. Super yummy Strawberry bar cake!! Meat department is smaller than most grocery stores, but clean & well stocked. Produce dept carries a variety of Organics & ready to eat items. Very nice staff all around. Prices range from average to high. But if you need organics or gluten free- they have it. My only issue is there are limited registers open daily, so you’re sort of forced to use self checkout.

I would love to go to this store because its the closest to my house. Totally not worth it; they are over priced and the employees are not friendly or welcoming. I rather fight going through the horrid Middletown traffic to go to Food Lion. Acme down the street is no better.

Giant is a grocery store like many of the older stores. There is a well lit parking lot. The store is easy to find from the road. The shelves are well stocked. The produce, meat, and fish are fresh and plentiful. Prices are competitive with other large chain grocers. Do not shop without store card you will not receive sale prices without it.

I like that they have a kiosk to order at the deli.

A great place I use to get snacks and smaller foods for myself when needed. Great pricing, constant sales (if you have a rewards card) and isnt too crowded for being a supermarket. Only downside is that any sales that are going on are limited to customers that have a reward card, otherwise superb.

Always friendly associates and willing to help. The remodel is great, but sometimes hard to find items. Everyone is more than helpful when I ask where an item is.

Well laid out grocery store and often extremely busy. Although its often busy the cashiers are quick and friendly.Giant is one of those stores that youll assume your grocery shopping will take forever as you see the parking lot. Yet as I said with fast cashiers and a well laid out store youll be surprised.

I see no advantage to the new kiosk style checkout. Whether you went through either of the manned aisles today or went to the self-serve, there was a line in either case. If you park on the west end, you must walk over to the east end for self-serve, then walk back to where youre parked on the west end. It has changed the shopping experience and not for the better.

The store is very clean and they have a great cold cuts from Boars Head. Everyone that works there is nice. Only giving 4 stars because they are expensive when it comes to fruit and meat/fish. However, the quality is better.

Very clean and shelves well stocked. Great place for couponers. Limited meat selection. Seafood Department does not steam any of the frozen items only items in the case.

This is my preferred grocery store. They have the best quality meats in town. Produce is okay. Deli counter usually handled orders quickly. The bakery staff is helpful too, and have gone out of their way to help me get items I need.

We stopped in at this Giant Food for just a few items last night. Everything was well organized and the store was very clean. We did not have much interaction with staff but there were plenty of self-service checkout locations open. A good visit

I usually dont shop at this store, but I had to go get a few things, they didnt have any wipes to clean the cart. Really upsetting will not go back there again. There bathrooms are not cleaned at all.

I come here for wing bar and salad bar and their premade subs are on point too. Basically their deli section is terrific.

A reasonably good sized supermarket with a large fresh fruit and vegetable section thats pretty nice. Availability of products are good. Checkout lines are usually pretty small. Prices are more expensive than average perhaps the most expensive grocery store in Middletown.

Great selection of gluten free and vegan options! I like that they keep it in the same location so you dont have to hunt for specific items.

The fruit looks good under their special lights, but get it home and it doesnt look like anything like Id want to eat.Also Pomwonderful was on sale (it never is) I purchase 4 bottles. I drink one and break out in hives. I didnt make the connection until two days later when I drink another and the same thing happened... I wonder why they were on sale.

As a relatively new resident of Delaware Im just happy to have a choice of supermarkets. Delaware makes very few choices available. Delaware is a state of sole providers. Giant, however, is a very welcome supermarket. Theyre certainly not the cheapest but theyre very clean and they have a great selection of products. Giant is a good store.

I have a strict diet and this place has everything I want! The manager for the seafood counter was wonderful and informative. Selection was great and the staff was very helpful. This is my grocery store of choice.

Low cost and clean!

Needed a few items on my way back home to Smyrna. Only disappointment was I couldnt get sale items because I didnt have a store member card. Not worth applying for because location not close or convenient to where I live in North Smyrna.

Excellent price on shrimp today. I find that if I watch for sales, somtimes I can get a good deal here. Qulity is alwaus very good.That may be worth the price in some cases.

Food quality is ok, but pricey, large selection of goods to choose from and thats the only reason why I gave 3 stars, they had switched to prepackaged meats a couple of years ago and it has been down hill since then. The deli is decent, but expensive, the seafood is pricey and limited in selections.
