I got my haircut here with Jerry and was pleased with the final product. Unfortunately from start to finish, he was very rough with his handling of my hair which made for a very unpleasant experience. He was not gentle when washing my hair, combing out tangles, or blow drying which was frustrating. The experience also felt very rushed which made me feel like the money I spent here was not worth it.

My wife and I were told to get out the store for not wearing a mask. Which I dont understand. Its connected to the mall and you can walk around the whole mall without a mask. Even in the food court. I will never buy or support a store that goes against my rights as a free person.

My gf went to get her hair dyed here and it started fading the first wash at home I DO NOT recommend get your hair dyed hair if you want to have your hair going blonde at the second wash, $200 down the drain woulda done it myself if I knew it would be like a 2yr old did it

Love Ulta so much! Not much else to say! I don’t purchase hair products through them anymore because my stylist orders my products for me and I pick them up at my appointments but the makeup and the hair tools I do still get there.

I had my haircut here yesterday and the guy had to be called up to the front 3 times in order to even come out to cut my hair. He barley said two words the whole time he cut my hair plus was SUPER rough with me... my forehead was red and scratched from his nails. When I got done and went home my hair is choppy honestly looks like I did it. NOT coming back. The only friendly person was one lady.

This store is loaded with every sort of beauty brand you can imagine. Im not big on malls so I appreciated beging able to go in and find the upper end brands Im accustomed to finding in a smaller store. They even have a beauty parlor inside so you can get your hair done while your there. Their staff is friendly and helpful as well.

Just awful, they really dont represent the Ulta name well at all. Rude customer service, disorganized, and dirty store. As if all that wasnt bad enough I had TWO employees yell at me for lifting my mask to take a drink, actually startled me, its like instead of doing their job and helping with products, theyre instead on natzi mask watch. I think they forget theyre in a mall that serves drinks. These young employees have no proper training, and just terrible attitudes, awful vibe in this place. No thank you.

Ulta is pretty nice it has things from makeup to self care products there is many great things but Im going to share the bad things as well 1. things tend to be very expensive 2. Its not very organized it can be hard to find stuff if its your first time but other than that its pretty good.

When I arrived, Ulta didn’t have the Waterproof mascara I use, on display. I’m very sensitive to certain mascaras and the one I needed was Dior. The Cashier Marissa had a long line, but took the time to look in the new orders that came in and under shelves. Thankfully, she found the last one for me! There needs to be more employees like Marrissa Franklin in workplaces that go above and beyond their call of duty. Her effort was honored and will always be remembered.

I usually love Ulta’a beauty salon and go frequently to the one in Santa Fe, NM but today was not the case at the Midland location. I went in for a haircut and to have highlights put in and I can’t stand how my hair came out. First off my stylist was very rough and messy and kind of acted liked he didn’t want to be there. He wasn’t focused on me during my appointment because he was coloring other clients’ hair while also doing mine. He juggled 3 clients during my time at the salon. My hair was pulled/ripped out while being brushed, my skin and scalp was scratched multiple times, the hair solution got on my shirt and now it’s stained, and I got sprayed by the hair wash sink so my back was damp for the rest of my appointment. My stylist also kept putting different solutions in my hair then putting me back under the dryer because “my hair definitely needed it.” My hair feels more dry now than when I walked in this morning. Too much hair was cut off and I was given layers which I didn’t ask for. The layers were also cut with a straight part but I part my hair on the right side so now when I comb my hair with a right part my hair looks uneven and like I cut it myself. The color is even worse than the cut, I wanted blonde highlights so I expected the highlights to be a lighter shade of my natural hair color like the last time I got highlights but that’s not what I got. I am one shade from being platinum blonde. I wanted a natural looking blonde color, not straight up bleach blonde. Not once during my appointment did my stylist stop and ask if I liked where it was going. I only saw the finished product and walked out horrified. I feel like with the price I paid today I should have loved my hair but I hate it. I regret making my salon appointment at the Midland, TX location.

Even if you have an appointment your stylist will either have left the salon completely or won’t show up. They can’t keep stylists for more than a few months it seems and the customer service is so nonchalant that it’s hard to tell if more training is needed or if they even care about respecting your time.

I love shopping at Ulta! Theres sooo many products to choose from! I personally go for Hair products! My mother loves their skin products and makeup, she has Rosacea and she has found products that work to help and calm it down! This is a store I would definitely be going back to!

I love shopping at the store but unless you know what you are looking for and its location you wont get it. No one helps. They are too busy standing around talking to each other. Store is usually a mess. I would not recommend the salon to anyone. I have given it a couple of chances and its a horrible outcome each time. No experience. They will tell you they can do it but in reality its like giving the scissors to a toddler.

I never like going here but we don’t have a lot of choices in Odessa so I am always in and out very fast. The workers are not trained on the products they sell. They will tell you very different than what your stylist will. They only worry about showing and selling the popular brand not about which type or brand would work for you. I tried to get shaded matched at one point and they put a small smear of several colors on my face and asked which one I liked, really can we try one at a time or blend them or anything I could have done this with the tester bottles. I know help is hard to find but at least train them.

I come into town every other week for work ...& omg this is the most unprofessional, disorganized, products everywhere that I have ever seen. I love Ulta don’t get me wrong, but this place is dirty. I blame mgmt. I use to work retail years ago & I was a district Mgr....I would NEVER allow this. It makes Ulta look bad.

Extremely rude. I went in to get a trim and they made me wait in front of the register (with an employee there) for 5 minutes before even speaking to me. When I asked for a trim the employee said that shed have to check if there was any room available, while doing this she was talking to another customer and the customer seemed to be a friend, I assume, and the employee was agreed to cut that customers hair while she told me that they were completely full. Also keep in mind that there was only one employee cutting hair while the rest were not doing anything AT ALL!

Had a hair color mishap. Stlylist tried to correct it,didn’t come out as it should. I was upset. Stylist told me her manager will give me a call to go over if what happened. I received a called from manager Cecelia, who immediately apologized and asked me to come in to take a look at my hair, with no hesitation she set an appointment for me to have it corrected . She corrected my hair personally and did a superb job. The most thing I liked about her was her professionalism and her manner on how she handle the situation. Thank you and I greatly appreciate it.

Dont use their salon!!! Do not! Nice people and all but completely ruined ny hair! somehow i ended up with red hair! Which is nothing i asked for, i asked for light highlights to get a sun kissed effect ended up with loud highlights and red roots!! Keep in mind i had not dyed my hair at all so there was nothing affecting it. I asked for layers and she butchered my hair! So may layers are just a straight cut across. She didnt bled in the layers correctly, i mean my 5 year old niec could have done that! And its sooo expensive!! Im waiting to see if i get my money back because im gonna have to pay someone else to fix this mess!! 😭😭😭 (i would add pictures but it didnt give me the option)

Had an appointment to get my hair cut. Walked in and was told Roberto could not get to me because he had a color disaster. I could pick someone else or reschedule. My frustration was they had my phone number when I made my appointment. I rescheduled my day for my cut. The least they could have done was to call me so I could have saved the trip in. I would have been happy to reschedule. Once they told me everyone walked away and no one offered to reschedule. I sat there for a bit just to see if anyone would offer to reschedule. Nothing! Management here sucks. Customer service here is sucks. And NO ONE in that Ulta cares at all. Such an easy solution and yet no one thought of it.

This place looks like Afghanistan. Products are strewn throughout the store, trash covers the floor, and the shelves look they haven’t been cleaned or organized in months. The samples are gross, missing, or empty. This place was organized and clean, but now it looks like everything else in Midland: Disorganized and dirty. This store is a prime example of what happens to most things in Midland: Trashed by customers and/or neglected by employees.

Not once, not twice, but three times Ive come to this store to purchase cosmetics; and be treated as if I didnt even exist. The sales people are either ignoring me, or have completely vanished from the floor. The ONLY person who was nice enough to acknowledge my existence, was a cashier who was up to her eyeballs in customers checking out. Its not just me experiencing this, but my partner and our friends. Just left the store not 10 minutes ago, and had an employee walk slowly by us, as if we werent there, AND she was looking around at customers. Im sorry, but we arent difficult to spot...two tall men looking around for any assistance. I didnt even bother to attempt to call out to her, we just gave up and left. Definitely prefer Sephora over this anti-customer store. At least the employees at Sephora act like they care, and try their best to be helpful. Wont be doing business there again!

I usually purchase all makeup here and hair tools. I called a day ahead to schedule an appointment for a cut and color. I show up and am told that the double booked and asked it they could do it a little later. When I asked how much later, she then wasted 20 minutes trying to figure it out. So they schedule me for an hour and a half later. They said they will get me right in when I get back. So I come back 10 minutes prior to my appointment. The senior stylist (not the one Im scheduled to see) comes and does a short consultation and doesnt bother to listen to what it is I actually want. Then says hes going to get me started for the other girl. So I sit waiting. Then 10 minutes after my appointment time the receptionist comes to me and says that a lot has come up in the last hour and that she spoke to the manager and could offer me a discount to come back the next day. Are you freaking kidding me?! Not a chance. I will never shop here again and will never go back for my hair care. Absolutely ridiculous. I could have gone somewhere else in the time they wasted for me. They had my phone number, they could have called me before returning for the second time. Nevermind they didnt bother to contact me the first time.

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I called to inquire about someone doing my natural hair. I asked if they had anyone who specializes in Natural Hair, and the lady who answered the phone in the ulta salon asked whats natural hair?!(in a rude way). Once I educated her on what Natural Hair was,(eye roll), she put a man on the phone to help me. Boy was he rude as well! You do not have to be rude to potential clients who are calling in. If you do not know how to do African-American hair, or do not have anyone in your shop who does, then you can politely say so! I see why your ratings are so low!

Do not go to this salon! Scheduling is pointless. My appointment was pushed back due to someone elses appointment being pushed back. Was told my appointment was no longer large enough for hair color, and I would have to wait an hour for just a cut!! When I had an appointment booked! Leaving town with no new hair.

Sales on shampoos are great but regular priced items like barrettes are expensive. This Ulta is always out of things, they dont stay very well stocked. Staff didnt approach me or help me at all, even though I was only one of 3 customers. I also overheard the hair stylist say to tell someone on the phone he refused to cut african american hair. When yhe other staffer asked him why, he said because it took him too long, he could do 3 other heads in the time it takes me to do that. Just seemed rude and unprofessional, especially to say it in earshot of other customers.

I had to call the store to make an appointment to get a haircut and color because their website online and the app on my phone said they were having server issues.I got in same day pretty fast and was paired with Robert (a senior stylist). He did a GREAT job but I think he was a little rough with the way he washed/rinsed my hair and combed it afterwards like he was in a hurry and I wasnt the center of attention as I shouldve been. He was doing the hair of two other women while he was doing mine.The cut and color cost me $141 and with a 20% tip the total was $169. I definitely feel like it was a little pricey for the rush, rush services I received. I wouldve preferred to have an appointment for later in the week and not feel rushed for the services Im paying for. This was my first time to visit an ULTA

After getting my foundation. I was checking out I decided I would like to try some skin lighter. I asked the lady who was checking me out if they had some. She asked another clerk both said Ulta did not carry product. I guess they did not know their store inventory. On 05/18/18 I tried my luck in the Odessa store, even worse...Looking for a certain product which I know and have bought before. The sample was out but zero product to buy. I passed one customer representative who was eating at the brush station and found another. I asked if she could look for additional product in the drawers that they keep back up supply. She said if it was not out they were out of it. She suggested for me to buy online from manufacturer. Thought brick and morder stores needed a profit, not suggest online buying. Hmm? Called back to talk to manager she stated that they DO NOT DO INVENTORY ON PRODUCTS. They only receive truck shipments on Thursday and all products received are randomly shipped. Hmm My thought how do they advertise if they DONT KNOW WHAT IS IN STORE??? So may be better off buying from online or another store. So sad.
