If your looking for a sandwich go anywhere else. The service wasn’t great and the lady making the sandwiches made it seem as if we inconvenienced her for asking. One of the two sandwiches was made correctly while the other one was completely wrong despite being asked to repeat my order 5 times. Finally got home to eat it and the meat was very cheap quality and honestly it looked like it had gone by. $23.00 thrown directly into the trash. This place should be barred from serving food.

Service was ok only one person working a little slow. Porcekta Sandwich was awesome.

The worst experience ever. This was my first time ordering from Purchase Street. They messed up my order and instead of a small antipasto they gave me an extra large. He refused to believe they made a mistake. They didn’t give any salad dressing and was beyond annoyed when I asked for the cooking directions. I paid for the food and the very costly mistake but asked why he was so rude.He the proceeded to tell me I wasn’t welcome in his store again. He mistook me for someone else saying I always complain and he shouldn’t of accepted my order. When I told him this was my first time at the place, he called me a liar and kicked me out of the store and told me never to come back. He then locked the door. I was in shock at the treatment. It was bizarre! I won’t be back!

I always haves enjoyed my grinders from Purchase St. Market, great cold cuts too. But I grew up on Main and Oliver corner. So Water Street was practically around the corner. Love the porketta one of the best in Milford. Friendly and welcoming!

When in there first sandwich the employee was sitting on his phone talking to somebody. Kept telling me to wait while he finished his call which clearly sounded like a casual call, I understand one thing to talk to a friend but when youre at work work is your priority and this employee clearly didnt recognize that. Not trying to be a Karen but trying to get a sandwich on my way to work and have to wait for somebody whos getting paid by the hour to get off their phone is pretty damn annoying. This is why most workplaces banned phone use.

Picked up a porketta for Christmas, definitely the same recipe I remember growing up! The service was great and the employees were very nice to me.

Came here with my wife for some subs and they were great. Also noticed they have one of the best craft beer selections in town!

I moved away from the area years ago, but would make the trek back for the porchetta from purchase street market. I wish I had known it changed hands when I went in this past time. I didn’t recognize the folks working but they were very nice so I assumed they were new hires. The porchetta looked a little different but I’d never gotten a less than FABULOUS one from them before so I didn’t think anything of it. Got home and unwrapped it and it had a very strange smell, not rotten just strange. That’s when I googled and discovered it had been bought out. The meat was tough and dry, and I’m unlikely to eat the rest of this $70 item. Such a shame, I SO looked forward to going there 😔

Used to love this place. New owners were okay, then they refused to wear masks, even in a pandemic. That happened several times when we went in. The final straw was today when my husband went in and was berated by the owners, who had mistaken him for someone else. He tried to explain that he was not the person in question and just wanted a sandwich. The owner wouldnt hear it and threw him out. Will never go back.

Just had the owner scold me and tell me to leave after I expressed my concern about him not wearing a facemask. I asked why he was being rude to me and he then told a story of something I did during a previous visit. He clearly had me confused with someone else because I am a regular who has always gotten along well with him without issue. Unfortunately I wont be going back again. So disappointing. Good sandwiches. No respect.

Just moved to town and thought itd be a quaint little local shop to support during all the Covid chaos. Unfortunately, the (presumed) owner or manager is just... awful. He passive-aggressively mumbles under his breath when people are within earshot, watches everyone who enters the place like a hawk, and just overall makes you feel unwelcome. Id only been in there on a handful occasions so far and Ive already seen him get into heated arguments with other customers. Its a shame, his other staff members are so nice but hes almost always there to bring the atmosphere of the place down. Every time Ive left Ive done so feeling like I was a burden to the owner/manager just for doing business in his store. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, that maybe he just comes off as a bit mean unintentionally, but Ive already been burned enough times (not to mention now seeing all the similar experiences seen in these other reviews). He also never seems inclined to wear a face mask during a pandemic - I watched him make a sandwich without any sort of PPE so dont ask for one while hes there. Tread with caution in general if youve got any pre-existing health risks. To be blunt I dont see myself ever returning.

Purchase street market is clean efficient. Knowledgeable and safe. They elevate food to its maximum potential. They believe everyone should be as healthy as humanly possible. And are more than happy to help achieve that goal. Check out ALL WELLNESS PRODUCTS.

This is a good place maybe if youre looking to buy lottery tickets or cigarettes. I used to be a huge fan of this place until I was given a meatball sub that was barely room temperature (I was hungry and hadnt eaten all day) and got sick....then soon after found a toe nail in my tuna sub. Called to let them know and never received a call back from the owner. On another occasion, the cashier dropped my pizza on the counter where people pay and asked if I still wanted it. Yeah...no thanks.

Love this place. But I gotta say. My last two sandwiches were light on the meat. Not what Im used to. But hey everyone has off days. Still highly recommend.

Its ran by friendly people and they always have the very best food and you know its fresh. Breakfast or lunch you will be satisfied. theyre known for their porchetta.

One of Milfords best hidden gems.I never have to ask my wife Marybeth stop in and grab something for us everytime she goes by because shes already there.I could go on and on about the friendly people, wide variety, hand prepared and homemade items, generous portions etc... but there just isnt enough wonderful things to say.Its very clear to see that there is a lot of thought effort and care put into everything they doThank you for putting your customers first on your list.

Very VERY overpriced. Grumpy (and this is being kind) staff. Not handicapped accessible. Salads are made days in advance. Croutons are sponges. Avoid eating here.

Use to be an ok place. Something has changed as of late and not for the better. Last few times I went there they didnt have what I had been going there for. So, think Im going to start looking elsewhere.
