Okay for routine food and personal/pet care needs. Pet friendly if you keep your pet on a leash and walking beside you. Wish I could shop at trader Joes but until theres one closer this is definitely less expensive than the corner stores.

I really Love this Safeway!!! Especially Mr. Alex. He always check to see if my walking is okay!!! Because I am Disabled and sometimes the Electric carts are not charged or someones already using them. I have to walk around the store. Once one becomes available he will look for me in the store to see if I still want to ride on one!!! I think that is really Awesome of him!!! He is a person, that really cares!!!

Very inefficient lay out. Couldnt find pancake mix. When I did find an item there was not a lot of choice like coffee was either Starbucks or signature select. Like 2 flavors and decaf to choose from.

The experience was fine, as always. Things were stocked, customers were masked, and they had face Shields at the registers - but man they seem to have really increased prices. Everything seemed a bit more expensive and it showed on the final bill.

More consistently finding everything I need except the previous visit there was no paper towels or toilet paper. Really people, you dont need a closet full of each to survive and you should still have some from a year ago! LOL

I like Safeway. Im just not into paying a Kings ramdsom for food. Everything in the Mill Valley store looked good. I was helping a friend shop. Personally I think people over 65 should get a reduced price for shopping there. Very well stocked and well managed place. Good meats. Quality filet mignon.

The Mill Valley Safeway seems pretty understaffed lately. There were a lot of unsanitized carts and only to check out lines open in addition to the self checkout lines during the dinner Time Rush . I know that covid has changed the way that they do things as well as their customer base but I feel like their handle on the situation is slipping a little bit. That being said it is on the bolinas bus route as well as sprouts in Mill valley and that makes it easy to get to and most of the cashiers are nice.

Good well-stocked shop with plenty of fruits and vegetables and grocery products. There is a florist section and good take out food section too.Helpful staff at door to guide people for COVID 19 safety process. Plenty of parking spaces.Restroom was open.

Pretty solid for a Safeway. The store is tailored to try and match the local customers - very decent wine/spirits/beers selection, produce is pretty good, pharmacy does a good job, and their pricing is very competitive.

The worst management that I have ever met. I wish there could be 0 star that I could put. Because I am pregnant, I have WIC program and wanted to receive my monthly food, I spent one and half hours in the cashier and 5-6 people were involved in to do the job, but as a result I received nothing and one of theirs works referred to me that they are not giving away their food, it seems I was food bagger for them...really? The manager Richard to whom I contact after leaving the store, just said that he is sorry, because he has so many new workers that they still need training ( Is it my problem?). Why I needed to be treated like that?

This is a very good branch - good produce - wide aisles - upscle and well maintained...Plus: great staff. Avoid 12n and high school student who have not yet mastered pardon me or Excuse me as they walk into to you.

Its a close place to where I live. they have a good stock of food in the store. a lot of things that I find to be new to me and some of the ones I normally eat. they keep the place clean. its a good place to go shopping.

Im located by tam high school and this is the location I drive to if I dont feel like going to the strawberry location. Selection is ok, but the other location is a lot better and its only a few miles away. Also, the place looks like its been given up on compared to its better location. Needs a little TLC.

This one has thin mints, unlike the others. Ive also heard that its carried parsley root at some point too.

Well run neighborhood market

Better than most Safeway stores. Do go around lunch or 3 pm, the high school is just across the street and it will be swarming with hundreds of teenagers inside and on the parking (it gets crowded).

Nice local grocery store convenient from highway to find and park.

They have what you need, parking is nice, and its easy to get to. The people who work there are friendly and they seem to always be fully stocked. Careful what time you go there because it might be flooded with high school students and you might wait 20 mins just to check out. One negative is they dont have self check-out.

I eat the sushi for lunch a few times a week. Pretty good and havent died yet.

Nice people in this store but my review is about this stores bread department. I bought a $6.00 loaf yesterday and it was full of mold. Thats the 3rd time for moldy sandwich bread just in the last few months? I didnt say anything about the other two moldy problems or ask for my money back because once in while it happens. I havent had any problems with the baked french or sourdough bread that they make in the store, that been good. But enough is enough. Now I have to drive all the way back to the store for a full refund, then drive to another store for a new loaf of bread. What I hassle, never again Safeway.

They usually have everything youre looking for. Produce, meat, deli section is descent. There no propane tank replacement/refill here. Thats odd, as is no Wi-Fi for shoppers, since the cell coverage is poor inside the shop.The staff are the reason this place is great! They are so warm and know where everything is located. They know their regular shoppers and make you feel at home. Theyre amazing!

Has a good selection of healthy food through out the store. Check out the flower selection.

I didnt think I would write ever a review to Safeway, but the people at the dely department were super nice! And it was pretty amazing. I thought I would just support them by writing this review. They are working very hard you can tell and they dont treat you badly when they have a bad day. I come here almost every day and I really wanted to write a review to say - good job! And thank you for providing a good cuatomer service. You dont get that in many stores lately for some reason. So 5 stars and have a great day!

They have some very nice cashiers (eg. Mary and Tuvet), but they need to remove the sign that says that a new register will open whenever more than 3 people are waiting. Lines 6-8 people long are common, so dont go when you are in a hurry.

Just awful. Only go here when i absolutely have to. Lines go on forever. Dont ever have enough cashiers, presumably as a cost saving measure.

I think that this place is pretty good for a supermarket the only problem is that around lunchtime the high-schools from the nearby high school go there and it is very crouded

No stars if I could. Always have to wait in line because these Marinities who own it dont want to pay for more workers. I wait 10 minutes in the deli isle and finally someone came and then helped in the wrong section and when finally he was on his way to me this other woman who claims to have been there first tried to get his help, even after the other worked motioned to help me. They arent organized I feel like Im a inconvienance. Wish I didnt have to go there but there isnt much to eat in this shopping center thats the only place close to my work. So lame

Sometimes the lines can get a little long because the store is understaffed, but in general its fantastic to have such an affordable place in town and the cashiers have always been so pleasant and polite.

DONT GO HERE DURING THE WEEK, AT LUNCH HOURS. THE ENTIRE STORE IS OVER RUN BY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. EVERY LINE WAS LONG. INSTANTLY TGE STORE IS CRAWLING WITH HUNDREDS OF KIDS. ITS ANNOYING

My neighborhood Safeway does pretty well for such a small space. The staff is friendly and the lines move along. Just watch out for when the schools let out or the high schoolers have lunch. It can be a zoo.

28 years of shopping here. Some outs but good people.

Lines as usual can get ridiculous, aisles dont leave much room in between checkout so you may be fighting to get by someone waiting in line. As always; go early or go late, skip the afternoon weekend.If by chance youre searching for taco seasoning, its not in the Hispanic good aisle or near regular spices.

Worst safeway Ive been in. Need to always check the expiration dates as Ive seen old food several times. Very slow long lines. Forget about them opening another register. Prices are really no better than whole foods. Dirty old feel. Please convert it to a Trader Joes.

Older store ... Better drive to Safeway in Strawberry center

Easily one of worst run Safeways Ive ever been. First the girl at the sandwich counter took forever to make 4 sandwiches for the guy in front of me, then when he wanted her to ring it up in two bills it confused the heck out of her even though it looked simple enough to me as the customer put it in two nice neat piles for her to ring as two transactions. So she had to call a manager over. Finally since it took so long she asked for help for me and another comes to me make my sandwich. I order the $5 sandwich, drink and chips deal as advertised right there, and he makes it and wraps it up and does not bother to heat it. The ad for the sandwich deal I exactly ordered says Served Hot, so he unwraps and heats it. I take it all to the 15 item line as the sandwich girl and manager were still trying to unwind the guy before me issue and the register was locked up for that. On the 15 item line some bozo tries to buy 8 bottles of wine and two 10-item boxes of power bars. Instead of scanning one bar and then entering the quantity of the bars (or scanning the box?) she literally scans one bar over and over again like 20 times! Then after the transaction is over the customer looks at the receipt and sees she did not properly apply the 50% off as per the bright red 50% off sticker on each bottle. So off to find the manager she goes. Then when she rings me up she charges me $5.99 for the sandwich and charges me for my chips too. Then when I ask about the $5 sandwich deal she gives me attitude that I did not tell HER about my sandwich deal (the sandwich bar people told me it would reconcile when I entered my Club Card, which I had already done). Geez! 30+ minutes to get in and out of there for just a frickin sandwich when I was second in line! Bad training and bad management and employees who dont know how to solve issues or get help. And here I am writing a review for a Safeway! Sheesh.

Its rather expensive and its the same products Safeway carries in most of their stores. The selection is also rather limited for a store thats a decent sized. Will not be going back.
