Love the welcoming feel of this bakery! It was busy when I went but the line moved quickly. The service was friendly.I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather- sipping my coffee and eating a chocolate croissant. Would definitely recommend!

Got iced latte and mozzarella sandwich ( mozzarella, spinach and harissa). Delish! The cashier had difficulty understanding orders, but it may be the mask. The servers immediately fixed it when informed. The bakery gets very crowded on days when nearby Starbucks is closed, so there may be a long line. The quality of food and coffee is great! And you support local businesses I also got fudge slice and chocolate croissant. They are amazing.

Absolutely fantastic experience, by far the best baked goods I’ve had in the US. I stumbled across Liv via their kiosk at Short Hills, and decided that I needed to visit the mother ship. The croissants are delicious, flaky, buttery, full of flavor. The focaccia is so good I could have eaten it all day long.I look forward to coming back here regularly, cannot recommend highly enough.

This business is open on very early Mornings hours. Here can be found the top notch breads (multiple forms and shapes), food/desserts specialities (prepared with sophistication by the chef), and drinks. There are the most qualified, gentle, and considered workers. This Bakery have a particular high ultimate hallmark of culinary excellence.

Mixed experience. While I should be supporting and encouraging such bakeries to open and prosper, I want at the same time that these do the correct food. You dont need to americanize food that is not American. Quantity is not quality. Having a croissant the size of 3 does not not make it better and actually does not allow anyone to enjoy anything else. Also the taste and ingredients(for the frangipane as much as chocolate) need to be improved. The blueberry financier is more of a muffin than a financier at all levels... The upside down orange cake is better to be named flourless almond cake with orange juice and skin. From a taste perspective it was the best of all I tried. Hopefully the quality will improve and take over the quantity.

I had always walked by Liv Breads with my wife and daughters, but every time ended up going to Starbucks. This last weekend, Starbucks was closed for some odd reason. We were craving a good cup of lattes and pastries. Without another choice for a coffee or bakery shop we gave this place a try. We were amazed!! The pastries are out of this world. So delicious. The lattes were just as good. A bit pricey, but the croissants are really big. But the place is pretty, a nice crowd, the workers were nice. In the end you guys just won new customers. Keep up the good work. Good tasting coffee and pastries.

Its a lovely basket in Millburn, but $7 for focaccia... Well, at the end of the day was cold and dry. The sweet Jerusalem bagels were $3. And the chocolate croissants looked great. End of day, probably not the best. Go early for the freshest and best selections.

The most deserved 5 star bakery so far! This place is working just right! Great sandwiches, savory and sweet pastries! Excellent breads and challas. Liv Breads was recommended by one of our friends as the best place in town for coffee and fresh bread-- and it certainly is! The olive bread in particular is divine and sells out quickly, and the coffee is freshly ground and quality. Despite our visit on Christmas day, and the crazy influx of patrons, the friendly and highly competent staff managed to handle everyones orders in a timely manner and with precision. Seating can be a challenge, but we enjoyed everything we tasted, including the wide range of samples made available to customers.

Went here for a morning drink, prior to visiting the nearby South Mountain Reservation. Outside the cafe, we saw many customers enjoying thier breakfast. So I got my self a refreshing iced chai latte! My wife and I saw & smelled the fresh breads, and could not help ourselves. So we ordered Halwa Croissant, Sourdough Sandwich bread and Chocolate Espresso Cake. So far we tried the Halwa Croissant, it is DELICIOUS!!. I am sure the rest will be equally awesome. I am so glad we discovered this gem of a place. We will be back here for more and with our kids - Cant wait!!

I will first preface this by saying that my family and I have loved Liv Breads’ food and drinks since it first opened (lattes, croissants, quiches, etc). They’re high quality and delicious! And they’ve done a LOT to serve customers well during the pandemic. Thank you for bringing cheer and happy tummies to so many during this time. We already ordered for the Thanksgiving specials and still frequent here every week. The 3-star rating is due to my family’s experience with picking up food from Liv Breads during the pandemic. I wouldn’t have posted if this was only a one-time occurrence... over the past couple of months, I’ve experienced or been witness to some uncomfortable situations during pickup, most of which are related to other customers there, and some which I don’t know what else to attribute to but to the fact that I’m a young, nonwhite/Asian customer usually wearing really plain clothing. It has led us to subconsciously go to Liv Breads less often. I won’t list all such instances here, but some included (1) two women were not in the marked line, so we walked past them to get into line, which was met by a mean-spirited “we are in line!” and glares towards me and my sister (2) a man walking ahead of everyone in line saying he had no patience to read the sign, even when a mom nearby explained it nicely to him (3) the cashier glaring at/doubting my mom for coming back 10 min later for a missing item they forgot to put in. Sometimes I wonder if my sister and I have to wear our Ivy League sweatshirts to avoid these situations in the future. I understand that Liv Breads isn’t at fault for most of these situations, but I feel that this is still important to share to other current/future customers, and maybe Liv Breads can help reduce such instances in the future.I rarely leave reviews, and I don’t like making a big deal out of nothing, but our experiences are valid, and I wanted to share this ending message in this review: I hope the community that supports Liv Breads remembers to be kind and respectful to everyone around them. Thanks.

Pricey, but completely worth it! Every time I have purchased bakery items from Liv Breads I have thoroughly enjoyed them! For Easter, I preordered their hot cross buns, because in the online photo they appeared to be just like the ones I grew up eating every Easter in England. Except, Liv’s provides icing for the cross, they don’t bake in the cross as part of the bun like traditional English hot cross buns. When I picked them up from the store on Easter Saturday and smelt them, the aroma was just the same as the traditional English ones. I toasted them at home and spread them with butter (I didn’t use the icing) and they tasted just like the hot cross buns I grew up eating in England. I shall never buy below par imitations from Shoprite or Kings ever again. I shall be putting in a yearly order of hot cross buns from now on as part of my Easter traditions. If they make them at any other time I shall be happy to order them throughout the year. I did try the icing and it tasted really good.

I love everything they make (I come from Queens), however onw that they are letting people in they need to work on their system.Pick up and Regular Customers wait in the same line, theres no menu or anything to prepare before walking in which if you didnt realize before could prove problematic as it did for me!As soon as we got let in you immediately have to order, there is no sign on anything to eat just a board with coffee drinks.. I walked in and said I needed a second to my dismay the cashier wasnt hearing it so we fumbled to get whatever we could think of.. without asking too many questions. Once the order was placed we were moved to the right hand side where over 10 people were waiting.. that is a major problem during a pandemic I was a bit stressed out by it. Additionally, they continued letting people in! So for that I took away a star.We tried the:Nordic bread- soooo good and healthy. I love rugbrød so as soon as I saw this I demanded my husband get it so we can eat it for breakfast. Defintely delicious and will be re-buying next time!Cheese and Tomato Focaccia- Amazing, would go back for these alone.Rugelach- these are the largest rugelach Ive seen, looked like mini croissants they were delicious though!

This bakery, hands down has THE best breads you will find outside of NYC. The crust is crispy with a little bite and the interior is tender with the right amount of tenderness and moisture. Bravo! Commuter special from 6-9 am helps reduce the cost factor because it is a little pricey. However, its worth the step, er no, leap up in quality. The coffee is amazing. I am addicted to the cheese brioche and the multi grain mini baguette. I hope they open more locations so that other people can more easily experience what good quality really means.
