I’m a native Maineiac so I know a thing or two about subs, let me tell ya! Today, I had the BEST veggie sub I have EVER had from North Woods Trading Post. The bread was the softest I’ve ever eaten and it was full of delicious veg! Coupled with the friendliest staff around. Sadly we live hours away, however, there is no way I could possibly pass up a sub from the Trading Post the next time I’m in town. I’ll be craving it until I do! Thank you guys and gals SOO much!! 🙏❤️

Last stop for missing necessities before hiking Baxter State Park. I usually stop here for their homemade muffins (blueberry/raspberry oh so scrumptious), but they were out this trip. The staff is very pleasant, which makes a day even better.

Not the quality you would expect from a small trading post in the middle of nowhere!! The paninis were excellent.

Friendly staff and good food. Cute, but crowded. Souvenirs, t-shirts, etc are quite pricey.

Steak and cheese panini was incredible, Tom was very helpful with local sight seeing spots in and out of Baxter.

I was appalled when I went in today that MANY customers in the store were not wearing masks. I waited outside to wait until the unmasked customers left, but more unmasked customers kept going in. I tried to call the store and ask for curbside pickup, but theres no cell coverage. I was in the other day, and people were wearing masks, and there was a nice selection of products. However today I could not go in because I did not feel safe. Its a shame that North Woods Trading Post does not care about the health of its customers by not enforcing the statewide mask policy.

The food is delicious and a great place to find a unique gift. Most are made by local artisans. I love the chicken, cranberry and walnut wrap. So good.

Bagel breakfast sandwiches were great in the morning. Super friendly staff gave us tips on where to look for a moose, although, we never found one, it was August. Got a nice ball cap with a moose on it and a cool T-shirt that had a forest scene and Katahdin written on it. We went there a couple times a day while staying next door at Big Moose Inn.

A great place to stop not only to get a good snack (great food and unexpected variety) but also to get that little something you forgot to bring or a little something for the people you left home or yourself! The staff are friendly and helpful. Have a good browse and take a little Maine home with you.

Stopped in for lunch During a Jetski trip, Great fresh sandwiches and a nice covered deck to eat them on! Do not expect the stock of a interstate Irving but they have the essentials. Quite an extensive collection of gifts and jewelry to look over while they make your food. Service was excellent, the people were very nice and open until 10:00PM! (Aug 2012)

The staff is very friendly and they have the best pizza in the area (Im a local so I know!). They also carry a great selection of locally made products including some coffee roasted locally by Mainely Coffee.

Amazing snadwiches! Fresh baked bread, fresh sliced vegtables and great cranberry honey mustard. Pizza is Portland Pie Co. dough. The food at this place is better than most places in Portland! When we got off the mountain we thought we would have drive a long time for good food, nope. Dont miss out on this great place! Wife is a foodie and husband is an ex-ranger :)

No bathrooms, no water, overcharged two of three in the party. Decent overpriced food, but location is prime! They can get away with anything!

Very busy place but almost everything we looked at didnt have a price on it. Thats usually a tactic used to force a customer to buy items that are way overpriced.
