Bakery and dessert hope with a variety of items. Love their bakery section more than the dessert. So many options, Milk butter puff pastry, cheese bun, brioche, lemon mini cupcake etc all good! Ordered a whole black forest cake! not good at all. they used store bought cherry filling not the fresh one… it was hopeless. i was expected the authentic one. They have a small seating area too. Now its limited due to social distancing.
Delicious bread and I love the sweetness where it’s not too overwhelming with sugar. Just happen to drive by the bakery and decided to try it out. Great prices and good customer service from the lady at the front cashier stand。 bought 9 different type of sweet bread and costed $12. Out favorite was (coffee bread, red bean and taro bread)
Its a bit difficult to find as it is on the back side of this center. The food is beautiful and great tasty (sweetness) than most Americans are used to with a typical bakery. Their are no donuts here. Only I dont care for is no food products are served hot - except coffee/tea. Less expensive and affordable price I ever seen with the great food quality. Friend recommended this place and now I’m going once in every week.
This is a popular store. It is always crowded and you may have to wait in line, but the bread is cheap and tasty, and the tapioca (boba) milk tea is delicious. I often visit this store.
Im usually a big sourdough and French/Italian bread fan but sometimes I also crave 85Cs total comfort in their bread. Every time I pass by Milpitas, I make sure I make a trip here.Usually their red bean and taro flavor breads are always good because those are the classic Asian dessert flavors. During my last visit, I tried several European style bread and everything is on point. My favorites are chocolate cream bread (a wonderful contrast of sweet and salty), the walnut bread (great texture) and their chocolate toast. Even got a free cheese Jasmine tea through the App :pThis Milpitas location feels very spacious, especially now all indoor seatings are removed. There are two of three benches outside.
I came about 10 minutes after they opened. Nothing was out except for basically cakes. I used the Kiosk machine to order and it didn’t print my receipt for the cake I ordered. The lady who helped me was really nice. I wanted to order more stuff but nothing was out. It might say open at 8 but they are really ready until 9ish. I usually come here in the afternoons and typically enjoy their pastries.

After ordering a drink online, showed up at the bakery at the stated pick up time only to find that it was not ready. I had to alert the staff to the online order a few times to get the drink. By the time I got the drink, it had been close to an hour from the moment I ordered online. Why offer online ordering if they cant get their act together to do it on time and without any prompts from the customer?
Got there 15 min before closing and they said they were closed. Why I asked them why if the time of closing is 6, they said it’s because they’re short staffed. I’m sorry but that’s not an excuse to close early.
Usually come here for their pork sung halfmoon. This location closes early after COVID-19. With a 18:00 closure time its no longer feasible for me to go there and get something as a quick detour anymore.
This location can get very busy during the weekdays. When there are a lot of customers, this specific location can’t keep up with their services. During my visit, I always have to wait for at least 15-30 mins for my milk tea to be made. And more disappointing is the pastries they offer aren’t a variety compare to other 85C locations. However it’s convenient to get here and the weekend wait isn’t as bad as the weekdays.
I really loved the mango and chocolate delight pastries. Soft and fluffy but not too sugary. But my absolute favourite was the Almond half moon cake - I think they made it with beaten egg whites - super soft, fluffy and lightly sweet. Totally recommend !Update - the mango custard bun was also really good !Update - the mango pastry and the Black Forest are highly recommended!
My go-to drink (and top 3 boba choices in the Bay Area!) is the Iced Sea Salt Mountain Green Tea with boba. I usually dont like milk tea super sweet, but the regular sweetness + salted cream make the perfect sweet&savory combo! For bread I recommend the egg tart, taro marble, and cheese-topped cream cheese bun.
I find myself coming back here for more taro puff pastries and cake slices. So good! Staff is always friendly, and the place is always clean with plenty of parking.
Good low cost snack items.
85C has always been my go to for asian pastries. Im always a sucker for the garlic or cheesy breads. My bf loves the sweet breads especially the milk tea bun.
Horrible Service. We ordered 1 drink and were told that Anne wanted to close the bar 10min early, so we would not be served. I asked her why directly and she just made a loud sigh/grunt.
Very friendly staff! Love this location, wish I could visit every day.
85°C Coffee is the best coffee Ive had in a while. On top of that, the service was phenomenal, dude really went out of his way to explain the differences between all the coffees and even made recommendations according to what I was looking for. Price is cheap for the quality of food and service as well. Would come definitely come back.
This location is much larger than either of the two Cupertino locations, meaning theres LOADS more selection here. Youre also more likely to catch some fresh out of the oven breads. The downside is it can be very crowded and hectic. Last time I was here (sunday afternoon), the wait for the cash register was probably 15+ minutes.
Their app is not easy to use. A lot of times spent in line waiting for others to figure out how to use their rewards.
A great bakery that takes pride in quality, selection and presentation. They are gearing up again which is wonderful to see. Not all the things yet, but amazing to have the beginnings of a full selection. It was afternoon on Saturday, so perhaps I missed being early enough for everything I wanted. I come from out of state and it is fun to experience some specialty bakery with items that are new to me. LOVE IT!
Maybe due to covid so they close earlier.
They open at 8. Don’t bother going till 11 or 12. The employee even said not everything is available until 3 hours after they open.
One of lady cashier she have attitude and not listening to the order give us different drinks.
Everytime I am in the area I will drop by and pick up a dozen of assorted baked goods. This place can be hard to find but it is one of the better looking 85c bakery cafe I have visited so far. This place seem to have a better selection of bakery items also compare to the other places I have visited.
Love the sweet treats especially the tarts, coffee could be better. Docking a star cause one day I came about 20mins before closing and they had already shut shop!
Great buns as always. Staff were friendly. Door was left open for ventilation and all buns are now individually wrapped for covid (though there were a lot of people in the shop)
Very nice bakery, nice and helpful staff.
The lady at the counter was rude and refused to serve drinks because shes understaffed. We drove all the way there to get some specialty drinks, waited in line for 15 mins and were turned away because theyre understaffed. Why open the store then? Why advertise the drinks? I dont think Ill come back here again.
If you like soft, fluffy, creamy, crunchy, and tasty, flavorful pastries, then 85 degree Bakery Cafe is for you. They have deals on their app, which to be honest when I tried to order from it, doesnt always work, yet the in-store cashier assure me the app ordering does work. So Im not sure what to make of it. I dont know.Anyway, that didnt bother me or take away from my in-store experience, since I live about 15 mins away from 85s closest location, that I can just drop by easily. It is also on my way to work. But for those who prefer to order through the app, the app is a hit or miss, but 85 degree app table of contents is organized, and so is its website. They do have a lot of pastries to choose from. My favorites are:Cheese dog, bacon and cheese, and jalapeno cheese bread. It is so good I cant stop thinking about it! Ha! So Yummy! Even all my co-workers love them! They even ask me to get them first before they run out! They do offer a box package deal of all their best tasting pastries currently for $21 for 10 items via app ordering if you want to first try out their pastries, or just in a hurry. To be fair, I havent try their cake or drinks yet, but I plan to soon. They do sell boba drinks FYI.They do look pretty good and prices on all their items are reasonable and comparable to other bakery stores. So bon appetit. Tootaloo!😇😇
I love egg tarts so much and 85 makes the best egg tarts. I tried at many branches but it is really bad here.
Nice bread but moderate drink
I specifically wanted a strawberry cake that was absolutely delicious and this place did not disappoint. The deluxe strawberry slice cake was so tasty definitely worth a try!
Tasty treats with jalapenos
Got our first bday cake, deluxe strawberry cream and sea salt chocolate milk cream milk tea which was very good next time need to get a large.
Amazing quality. I just hope that they had eggless deserts and cake 🎂 too.
Im a fan of their french garlic cheese bread!
Great pastry selection, ok drinks
High quality baked goods but expensive.
Awesome products, walnut and sesame seed buns are my favorites.
Visit here, most of my weekends for savories. Rose tea is good.
The cake I ordered is really good but halfway through finishing it we found human hair on the cake. Eww
All the time I have the opportunity to have something fresh and eat bread without so much sugar, this is the perfect place. I recommend it.
Good spot to hangout with friends. Lot of open space to sit outside.
Decadent pastries! Loved all of them!
The Classic tiramisu cake is a must have. Thank me later. :)
Great place for coffee and tea.
Was a shocker experience recently. Bought a cake for my anniversary celebration, the cake was not fresh at all seemed liked a old cake. Thumbs down, never expected this. Wasted 35 bugs.
Great boba and nice selection of pastries. Staffs were kind and welcoming. The ambiance is good and the place is clean.
Nice place, hidden in the back of the complex. Different kinds of pastries and bread. Bigger (relatively) sitting area with a the full front facing real being glass. Coffee was nice, though they tend to make it sweet. Good place to sit for a bit in weekend mornings.
Enjoy the food
I love the cake from 85C! Its so creamy, and theres such a variety. This is our go to place for birthday cakes. Its very large and brightly lit, which is a weird thing to praise about a bakery, but it really makes it inviting. They have a ton of Asian sweets/pastries that I want to try!
They sometimes run out of items.
Fantastic bakery - wide selection, very tasty and high quality. My favorite spot in this area for breakfast. Might be a bit hard to find since it is on the backside of a small mall.
Baked stuff are great but dont get the drinks.Drinks: I should have listened to the other reviewers. My Taro slush had large chunks of ice and lacked in taro taste. I immediately tossed that and went to Fantasia thats one block away. Lemonade tea was just ok.Bakery: Taro bread was good. Most baked stuff here are good in general! Not many memorable ones though.Cake: Cute and tasty. They pack the cakes in a cute box for to-gos. Good for mini gift or for yourself!Overall: Open late(Midnight). Great stop to chit chat with friends.
Delicious pastries!
Love this bakery! The baked goods are super fresh, Big selection daily, reasonably priced, clean nice environment easy going atmosphere.
Very good selection of awful goodness. Cant go wrong here. They have all of my favorites and more.
This is a dream for all cake and dessert lovers. If you’re looking for 5 star quality with reasonable prices and varieties, this is it! I’m very picky for desserts and cake but whenever I crave for cake/sweets, I ran here. I’ve been bringing friends to have drinks and have cake or bread. We enjoyed this place so much that I’ll be coming back again for more. In fact, my girlfriends family who lives in Las Vegas missed this that each time I visited them, I make sure to bring two boxes for them to enjoy! Highly recommended.
Freshly baked bread and buns. Their drinks selection are good. Try the sea salt coffee.
Great variety of breads, pastries and cakes.
Love the pastries and bread here. Get a nice cup of the sea salt green or red tea and youll be good to go for the day.
Their chiffon cakes are amazing!! You have to try it. I have to say that their service is a little disappointing. They dont smile, and do their jobs like they are forced to do so. I wish they could bring more welcoming atmosphere......
The bread here is delicious, soft, and moist! They have a variety of yummy pastries and breads. I enjoyed the Hawiaan bread very much. Unfortunately I came at a time when many of the stuff I wanted was out. This was probably after the rush. All of their breads are very tasty.
Great cakes. Bought one for my boss birthday and the whole team loved it
Im picky with my baked good so I dont particularly think that the pastries here are to die for. Its a great hangout spot if you want a snack. The cakes are also okay for me, Ive had better. I bake myself so my baked good palate is a little hard to please.
