Wonderful place. Food that reminded me (in a good way!) of my brief time in China. Hard-to-find East Asian grocery and home goods; womens fashion.

The food was so good. I did not know jow things would taste. The person manning the food stall was patient and explained the food items to me in great detail. I ordered fried fish, sticky rice, and curry that had chicken in it and came with rice noodles. Next time I will have to order more curry. I brought the food home and the kids lined up to try some.

Ive been coming here to support the local community for a while but as of late, not sure if its COVID related, but not much food vendors left here and additionally, it seems like this building has a long history of numerous projects advertised but never complete (parking structures, upgrades, etc.). I wish the owners and all the vendors the best of luck. It would be good to have a place here in Milwaukee that could mimic similar shopping / dining experience as in the St. Paul, MN area. Definitely not a fair comparison by any measure at this point but a great start. Dont give up, we need strong Hmong businesses in Milwaukee!!!

This is one of the main stops every time we go to Milwaukee. Food and service are great all the time... however I give it two stars because of bad sanitation. Every time we go, the bathrooms never have hand soap and it makes me worried if restaurant workers even wash their hands with soap. I highly encourage that whoever is in charge of this market ensures that the place is sanitized for public health reasons.

Food and shopping is fine, BUT THE FACILITY IS DIRTY. PAST 5 YEARS IVE COME REGULARLY AND FACILITY ALWAYS BEEN DIRTY AND LOOKED DIRTY. THEY SAY THEIR CLEANING AND UPDATING THE FACILITIY. LIES!! BEEN THIS WAY FOR A FEW YEARS. NOT TRYING TO DEFAME THE BUSINESS. BUT PLACE NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING.

We enjoyed Pad Thai and Chai Tea for lunch today. The market was full of colorful clothes and other Asian items. This was my first visit having watched a PBS program showing this market & grocery store. I would give a higher rating if the store had been more inviting, I was expecting something more like the Milwaukee Market in downtown Milwaukee.

Review №41

Great papaya salad, stuffed chicken wings, sticky rice, Lao hot sauce that is very hot and addicting. Produce is pretty pricey. But other Asian food products are responsible, and they have fresh corriander with long stem almost full plant. The stems are delicious sliced thin in Asian salads.

This is the Hmong cultural center of Milwaukee. They have a very authentic market...youll feel like youre no longer in the US the second you walk through the door. People are very welcoming and friendly. They have a restaurant in the back that serves an excellent bowl of Pho and Hmong sausage. HIGHLY recommended!

Check your receipt. I stopped for the first time and the store itself was fine. Got three items and it is my fault but was not paying attention at checkout. The items were $4.50 and two @ $3.99. The change I got was $32.77 from a $50.00 bill. So somehow my $12.48 worth of stuff cost $17.23. It dawned on me 5 minutes later so I dug around in the bag and there was no receipt. Will I go again probably as there selections were good but I darn sure will get an itemized receipt.

Food is great here. Especially Mai Bahn Min sandwich shop. Highly recommend getting the coconut smoothie with a sandwich. Other food here was also good from beef ribs, egg rolls, pho, stuffed chicken wing, to taro sesame balls. Bathrooms were also well kept. But place needs more update such as AC unit to polishing the floors. Flooring looks like it hasnt been mopped or clean since it was built.

Review №75

I was almost dragged here against my will, I am not Hmong so my perspective might be biased. First, I felt like a giant in there, I am only 61. Second, the businesses seem to cater to a wide range of needs, you can buy food, kitchen whare, clothes, fruit etc. Seems like the kind of place where minority communities do a lot of their shopping. Reminds me of the layout and variety of some Mexican stores

If you feel like waiting for 40 minutes for pho or maybe not even getting it after 40 minutes head over to the new restaurant in the new building. Or just go to the original restaurant where their food is good and it only takes probably 5-10 minutes to get your food. First and last time eating there (: Would rate high for the older restaurant.
