I am very interested in trying the produce and Kim chi they sell. I also like tropical drinks, jasmine and oolong teas. The cashier was talkative to the other customers, but didnt give me a salutation or say thanks, although he willingly greeted others. I dont think people should give a one sided salutation to people when they spend their money.
Was in town visiting family and needed Asian groceries for meal prep. This is such a fun little supermarket! Very friendly staff and pretty good selection in a small place. Ill be back!
This is a great place for getting Asian vegetables. However, I would be very cautious about the expiration dates of their products. I had to return stuff once and since then, every time when I visited, I become very careful about the expiration dates on the products. Look at what I found today! It’s crazy that they still have an item that expired in 2013!!! Seven years ago...omg!!!
I always enjoy shopping there you can find just about anything that you need to do your cooking
A great place for fresh vegetables needed for Asian cuisine. Many different sauces and seasonings as well.
Large variety of asian grocery. Good variety of import fruits/vegetables. Dishonest cashiers who double ring items. Store has a bad odor of rotten meat or dripped blood from meat or maybe a dead rat that has crawled somewhere and died. The guys that deal with the meat counter are helpful. The store has potential but the other staff need some type of training on customer service and honesty because based on my last experience at this place (on 6/9/2021) I do need to go ahead and file a report to the BBB and health department.
This place has so much its almost overwhelming, but I was able to find an employee who helped me locate exactly what I was looking for. Nothing here is labeled in English, so you have to know exactly what you need before going in. The store is large and clean and offers a large variety of fresh, frozen, canned and packaged items as well as a meat and seafood department.
You find most Asian food especially Vietnamese food here but remember to check the expiry date before buying.
I love it they have the most interesting food ever.
Great oriental store here on northside of milwaukee. Right next to police station. They have a variety of oriental products. Customer service is excellent. I would recommend this store to anyone in need of oriental food and other oriental needs. Also meat quality here is the best. Always fresh.
Great place and lots of varieties. They always have great customer service and know exactly what you ask for. I’ve been around a lot of Asian stores in Minnesota and this is a great choice of a store in the Milwaukee community. Great job!!!
Its a lot bigger than it seems and I went in and found everything I was looking for!
Found some delicious trumpet oyster and beech mushrooms
Well stocked. Lots of options.
Great place to go shopping for Asian food price are OKAY but when you are short 5 cents only they dont care they want there money..
Call multiple times. They picked up but no one replied and just hung up. Been trying to figure out if they had a certain item because theyre a bit far from me...
My wife and I took a tour of all the Asian markets in Milwaukee. We liked this one best. As a new Vietnamese arrival, she was able to find everything she needed to make dishes just like in her homeland. They even had Cholimex chili sauce which is rarely found in the States. Lucky me, I get to eat Bun Thit Nuong tonight. I only give them four stars because they dont turn the heat on in the store. I think it was warmer outside on the street.
Its been a long time since Ive been back at this store. The refrigerator where they store the meat section at the back seems to be broken and everything was melting.
A great Asian mart where you can get lost for hours as the selection is so varied and huge. Great deals on bulk bok choy, garlic, ginger, bean sprouts, mushrooms, hot peppers, etc. Know what youre looking for or you might not come out till the New Year!
Liked this place.
This little Asian store has so many good things to buy. You need to stop buy and seeing what you would like to see.
They have the biggest 🍤 for a good price.
They have a great selection and a lot of everything they carry. They have produce, rice, sauces, pastes, noodles, drinks and desserts. They were out of snack able seaweed but theyll get some next week.
I wish they were friendly and shared recipes.
My mom bought some spring rolls from here and there was raw bacon inside. Be careful.
Great selection of Teas from the China and Japan.
Will never buy again there. The place smells the minute you open the door. I bought a pack of fresh fish and it was rotten. It looks like they switch off their freezer frequently because their fish/meat is never fresh and the whole place smells like rotten meat.
They have a nice selection. Store is dirty and staff is rude. They could spend more time cleaning and organizing rather than sitting on their phones. If youre going to have carts in the store then you should make aisles that can fit 2 carts or get smaller carts.
They have a great selection and a lot of everything they carry. They have produce, rice, sauces, pastes, noodles, drinks and desserts. They were out of snack able seaweed but theyll get some next week.
I enjoy shopping here. They have so much variety. Not a large selection of fresh meets. However a ton of frozen meats. I like their tea and noddle selections the most. I could spend hours in the market exploring the shelves but if I take too much time I usually have someone following(watching) me around the store!
My husband and I were impressed with how large this market is and the variety of items they carry! We especially appreciated the wide range of mushrooms (both fresh and dried), noodles, sauces and soups (Ramen-style) they offer. Ive never seen that many styles of instant soups in my life! Haha We also felt the prices were fair and the staff was very friendly. Were excited to have discovered this place and will definitely be going back :) Thank you, Viet Hoa!
My fav store... and everyone is super friendly here!
Always love coming here. They have meats and fish that no one else does. Whole ducks. And then some! Fantastic looking fresh produce. Perfect for soups! We will come again.
I love shopping at Viet Hoa. They have an intetesting selection of unusual produce and an impressive real butcher case with a friendly butcher! The place is packed full of food I have never seen before and have no idea what to do with. It would be nice if they labeled everything so I can at least look up how to use it. Ive suggested they offer cooking demos, but almost everyone shopping is Asian and do not require cooking demos. They also sell NO dairy, which can be inconvenient. Do Asians not eat dairy? ☺
Cool place!
This little Asian market packs a punch! It looks like a convenient store from the outside but it is packed in the inside. It pretty much has everything you might ever need to cook Chinese or Vietnamese food. The owner is also very friendly and nice.
A neighborhood Asian Ma and Pa mini grocery store that tries to pack in as much as possible in their limited space. I was looking for the refrigerated cylinder rice cakes which they didnt have. However, they did carry frozen sphere sliced. This little store does the job if youre looking for Asian cooking items and groceries.
Fresh produce, good meat counter, excellent selection. Overall pretty good place to get Asian groceries. To be five stars it needs a bakery, cafe, and fish tanks full of live fish but other than that, its pretty good. Nice location, easy parking. Four stars!
They have plenty of Asian products, good for if you are making a large family dinner or going to a party. Impress your friends with the exotic ingredients there. They also have ready made snacks. Some of them are good to grab and go while does require a little microwaving but they are nonetheless very good, that is if you are Asian and liked them to begin with.
If you cant find it here, it doesnt exist. This supermarket is huge, with loads of fresh produce, frozen sides, condiments, dried noodles, beans and rice. We shop here for a lot of specialty items, like sea vegetables, Korean-style ramen, ready-made dumplings, and red rice.
I go to this store for most of my ingredients.
I love this little market, whenever Im in need for some fresh papaya salad I go here and they always have it. Made fresh daily.
Amazing food products. The prices are good. Highly recommended!
I love this store. You can get the best Asian food in Wisconsin here.
They have majority if the product that I need. I would only rate a 3 star because of the condition of the floor and the area that needs to be prepare. Also, for new comer, be warn of the area. It is not a good neighborhood.
They have the best prices among the Asian grocery stores, and one of the widest selections. They dont carry many Japanese items, but I can usually get all of my Korean necessities.
Has most anything you would want in East Asian foods.
Certified dank. But they have everything and check out doesnt take too long, so its worth the trip. They have Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese specialties. Pay special attention to the very very reasonably priced produce. They also have a great selection of noodles, sauces and kimchi.
Watch out for expired food products, ALWAYS CHECK EXPIRATION DATE if they even have any. The owner said some dont even need or have expiration date. They give no crap when u find out the next day and told them about it.. Bought some mini cup jello for my kiddo and it taste like their was acid in it, doesnt taste like the normal usual one we always bought. Told the lady owner and she choose to ignore me and said I dont know what u talking about....
Dont remember coming here.. 😬😬
I love that store they have excellent food and good prices.
Fresh meat are always good. Havent experience anything bad. Great customer service and my to go one stop for any meal!
A decent Asian/Vietnamese super markets with a lot of products.
This market is geared towards Asian foods. I find that this place has a good variety of foods from the Southeast. The produce seems to in good condition most of the time; there are some occasions where some of the fruits are starting to spoil & they would still be available to buy, but I just dont buy them based on their condition. Usually, the store gets rid of the spoiled stuff. The meats are decent based on the few times that I have bought them. I havent bought anything that I had to return so far so Ive been lucky at this place. Note that this is based on my experiences with this market so opinions might vary, but I dont have any dire issues with this place.
Noodles PLEASE at cafe!!
The only place I know that carries the herbs and vegetables I need for certain Laotian and Thai recipes. offers a great selection to suit anyone with a palate for asian ingredients. Its easy to miss the store location. It sits on the corner, with street parking only as far as I know. Half a block away from it is a very busy intersection. Store on the inside is bigger than what it looks on the outside. Im not too positive about its meat department. Im always iffy when it comes to asian stores and fresh unfrozen raw meat. Otherwise than that its my go-to asian supermarket.
Great place to buy big scary knives
Nice, clean, smells better than others! Everything is stocked! Thank you
Have always loved coming her since I was little. Very reasonable prices and the workers are always very nice. Some dont speak very good english, but they really try to help you! :) Always friendly there and always find what Im looking for! Also impressed with their asian kitchenware section!!
This store sells a lot of expired food. I thought by now they probably would change things up, but nope. I bought some sweet napa cabbage and it was so old, the texture felt like foam. They often hide the super old vegetables underneath the newer vegetables in the packages. So greedy and wrong. They even sell super old Vietnamese sandwiches that should not be sold to the public. Also, we bought Thai Jasmine rice from them and they gave us the wrong kind. We pointed at the rice on the displayed, which was the regular Jasmine rice not the Jasmine rice bits. We called and see if they would give us an exhange but they said no because we already open it. They said we should have looked to see if it was the correct rice before we left. But we pointed at the correct rice (we would have checked twice if we knew that there was such a thing as rice bits). They were the one that put the wrong rice in the cart even though we pointed at the correct rice. And also, the rice bits is supposed to be much cheaper, like probably $10 or so cheaper, but we paid the price for the regular rice. What a fraud. Never shopping here again.
Amazing variety of Asian specialty items, seafood, and noodles. Good prices and friendly grocers!
Convenient with good service. Has fresh produce, butchers section available, extensive frozen fish and fish products, wide variety of noodles and sauces, a side room with kitchen ware, nearby parking lot, will carry rice bags to your car
We dont get to that part of Milwaukee often enough, but when we do we always visit here. Some of the best vegetables in town for making Korean dishes with.
They have so many regional items here that I havent been able to find anywhere else! For example, all the ma po tofu ingredients - this includes Sichaun peppercorns and doubanjiang. Not to mention all the produce and fresh sweet items. This is my go-to Chinese & southeast Asian grocery store. Just check expiration dates yourself and youll be fine.
Highly recommend. Good prices and friendly staff.
Check the expiration date on their canned fruit drinks. I drank a can of funny tasting coconut juice and noticed the yellow coconut meant in the can. The can was one year expired.
The store is full of awesome stuff and is a typical asian market. My only issue is that it is incredibly disorganized and some stuff hard to find, but if you want it, its probably there somewhere
One of my favorites Vietnamese store! Every time I visit my family in Milwaukee I will also do my grocery shopping. :)
Well, its smelly but they have what I need👍🏾.
I was trying to find gobo (burdock) to make kinpira for New Years Day. I looked at my usual Asian markets and could not find any. I went to Viet Hoa for the first time. I was surprised at how big it is and what a wide variety of fresh produce, meats and packaged goods they have in stock. From the outside it looks like a small corner convenience store but it almost fills the whole building the size of a supermarket. I found my gobo there. Prices are competitive with the Asian markets I usually go to. I will definitely go back.
It’s good.
Its a friendly place, GREAT place to shop for everything you need to make egg rolls and to buy Vietnamese stuff to cook with.
Love this place, always in stock of everything, fresh produce and consistent ;)
I like going to this store a lot, but last time I went here I was kind of disappointed because all the stuffs that I want are all expired (can goods)not just a year it was all expired on 2016 that was like 3 years ago expired and some of their frozen stuffs are expired too. There’s still a lot to get to this store but please owner of this store be concerned of the expires products because I complained about it but it seems like you guys are very aware that some of your products are expired and it seems like you all didn’t care at all. You guys can kill people because of this, hopefully they will get inspected because that was really concerning. For the shoppers Just double check your purchases guys because it is really risky and very concerning problems of this store. Hopefully next time if I am going back to this store they are going toPull out all of their expired products otherwise I am going to take photos of these expired products and post it on social media. So sick of this kind of people.
I would say if you gonna find something southeast asian decent then you will find want you need but dont expect neatly arrange products and marked price. Its a headache to find something but once you been there a couple time, youll know you way around.
I went in there looking for something specific and no one acted as though they wanted to help me I was the only black girl in the store so I was getting looked at funny by every one in there, I attempted to ask one of the workers for help and she denied me, however the cashier was nice enough to help me when I told him no one else would I won’t be going back !!!!
Need to watch expiration dates on certain items. Some are past the best by date.
It was okay. There were like 5 or 6 cardboardand that were all opened up. Laying flat on the ground. Not on top of each other. It seems like they did this to prevent customers wet shoes from getting their floor dirty. This couldve cause slip to customers.
Good market to find Asian products..its amazing what you could find.
They have a great selection and a lot of everything they carry. They have produce, rice, sauces, pastes, noodles, drinks and desserts. They were out of snackable seaweed but theyll get some next week.
Its a smaller asian store but they have still have everything like the bigger asian stores. It is kind of to tight stroll a shopping cart around but they do have shopping carts available and baskets. They offer a good variety of herbs and vegetables and most of the time theyre fresh and pretty.
Excellent variety and items not carried at a typical supermarket
Great selection! The produce was fresh and Ive been happy with all of the products Ive purchased so far.
Has better deal than other stores
A lot of varieties of foods, easy to find, nice peoples works there..
They always have everything I need, and they really friendly with customers.
A nice Asian store, you can find a lot of different things there. I love going there.
Always friendly even though they dont expect me and my kids to like shopping there. We do.
Prize is a little too high, and the store is not really organized... but yep, u can find asian food and products there
Much bigger than it appears from outside. Large selection. The only place in town where Ive found fresh tofu and soy milk.
It is a small place. But it has most of the stuff that I want. So overall, it is not bad.
Selection in the store is just fabulous customer service was great Im going to tell all my friends about the store I will be back
Ive been going here for over a decade and they usually have what i am looking for. It needs renovation, but the products they sell are decent.
Compares to my city, this Market is pretty good. Some food and fruit are better prices.
Butcher, Asian vegetables, seafood, tons of sauces, rice, noodles and more. Our family frequents this shop for food supplies. Not the best in decor but the goods are usually fresh and thats the most important.
I had called ahead and talked to I guess the owner, Bill Chung. I had never been to this Asian grocery store before. I needed somethings you can only find at Asian grocery stores.I was sure they had what I needed when I talked to Mr. Chung. To say the least, I had a great experience that you dont ordinarily get shopping for groceries anywhere. The people working there were truly helpful despite some language problems, but the really remarkable most auspicious quality was the man himself, whom I talked to on the phone, Mr. Bill Chung.I have to add my own disclaimer thought. And that is, I will be back more often then I ever have been to this Asian grocery.Bitter Mellon, they have it. Just to stimulate anyones interested. They even have it in tea form along with magostean tea, etc. So blessed living in, Milwaukee!
Best Asian produce I’ve found in Milwaukee.
Great market with an incredible variety. Fun to just explore.
Love this store but the banh mi gave me diarriah. Smelled weird and the vegetables were all soggy and old. Smh😒 Last time buying made food from there.
Small store with a lot of inventory, but couldnt find what I wanted. Limited staffs to ask for help.
