If you dont read any reviews please stop here. My husband and I took our 2012 VW sport here to have the front struts and bearing replaced. They were professional accurate with the price and upfront with us from the beginning, we cannot be more happier. We took our car previously to the dealership to have them repair the back struts and the price was almost four times higher than what we were quoted for this place. I would recommend this place and will definitely be taking all of our vehicles here as I appreciate the honesty, great customer service, and reasonable pricing. I would also like to specially think Charlie who was kind enough to help us over the phone as well as in person. If you have a foreign car please save your wallet and yourself a headache by going here first!
Super service and quality repairs. Staff is personable and they actually listen to your concerns. 5 *’s
I unfortunately haven’t been the luckiest person as far as car repairs have gone as of lately. I originally took my car into Import Minded which had been highly recommended to me and I’m glad I did! I have been a repeat customer ever since! From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. Charlie is great and always takes the time to explain exactly what your repair all entails and has always been extremely trustworthy and honest when it comes to the diagnoses. I would definitely recommend Import Minded to anyone looking for quality work and a great price! I will for sure be giving Import Minded my business in the future if needed!
I have been taking my vehicles and motorcycle to Import Minded for almost a decade. I have had oil changes, brakes, tires, tie rod end replacement, caliper replacement, A/C recharges, and others that Im sure I am forgetting, and have never left unhappy. I have even shopped around for quotes dozens of times but never found a better deal. The service writers take an interest in my personal needs and cater the service to me! For example, once I mentioned that I was preparing to move to the south, and they recommended a completely different set of tires that would fare better on hot, summer roads. This set of tires happened to be more affordable than the tires that would fare well in WI. Im sure I have interacted with the entire staff, and they are such a friendly, caring, and professional group.Oftentimes, the mechanic working on your car will actually come and speak with you - which I have never heard of happening at a dealership. They have always ensured that I (and my friends who Ive sent here) understand what is going on with the car (i.e. the diagnosis), the short-term and long-term impacts of the issue, and exactly what they are doing to fix it.Sadly, I moved to North Carolina in 2019. However, I think it speaks volumes that whenever I drive back to WI to visit, I have my car serviced by the techs at Import Minded. I love this shop and would recommend it over any other in the Milwaukee area.
I have been coming to import minded for years. I’ve never been to another shop with the same level of dedication and expertise. When other shops are too afraid or can’t find the problem, import minded will be there to take care of you. Whether it be Asian, European or domestic. Your expensive luxury car or economy car, old new doesn’t matter. They have the knowledge and experience to get it done right and honestly the first time. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else.
Brought my car in to have them diagnose why it was so slow.they had it figured out in 15 mins and showed me the problem
I take all three of my vehicles to them for major service. They always have appointments available when I call them. They give pricing up front so there are never any surprises. If I need additional parts they always call right away and explain in detail what’s needed. I’m always very happy when I get my vehicles back from them.
I take all my vehicles to Charlie and Alissa at import minded. The prices are amazing. They always treat me like family. Will never take my cars any where else.
Excellent service. Twice Ive taken my vehicle here expecting a significant expense and both times they found small problems that addressed the issue. Instead of overcharging and doing unnecessary work they have been extremely honest, helpful and courteous.
Even though the mechanic Brandon was forthright, I cannot say the same about the owner. His dishonest overcharging for hours worked on my Mercedes and lack of customer service will forever keep me from giving him my business again. A little professionalism and understanding goes a long way to keep loyal customers. Its all about the money for this guy. I would not recommend him or his shady ways of doing business. Stay very far away from Import Minded. I will tell all my family and friends that this place is a scam. $1300 later and my check engine light is still on. First time I was charged 6 hours of work which took 3 hours and second time $137 for 15 minutes of work and thats including them reading the diagnostic. Then, Import Minded quoted me $2200 to replace my radiator, however I went to Meyers Import and they did it for $1200 with honest and thorough work. Meyers Import quoted me 6 hours of work but got it done in 4.5 hours and charged me less than the quote. Now thats integrity and honest business! Only reason I went back to Import Minded the second time was for warranty work on the camshaft sensors which they did not do. I should have looked at the prior reviews before giving them my business in the first place. Theres a reason why there are consistent bad reviews for this place.
Took my VW Jetta there based on a referral and so glad I did. They know their imports and was able to trouble shoot my codes and pinpoint the cause. Unlike the dealership which would have replaced all code sensors, they knew one cause dictated the others and created a plan to fix. They needed to just replace a crankcase speed sensor and reflash. Done! Very happy! Highly recommend!
Absolutely love taking my car to import minded. Always fair prices and great customer service.
Work was done on time and at a great price. Charlie was great to work with!
Great place knowledgeable mechanics professionals
Ive been taking my Hondas to Import Minded for more than 25 years for pretty much every repair imaginable. Steve (the owner) and his crew have always been fair and professional. Ive never been talked down to which is more than I can say for most car repair places. I trust them with my car over dealing with the dealerships, which I greatly prefer. Would highly recommend them to anyone with an import car model.
Got charged for services not provided on one visit, was charged over $50 for a gas cap after I told them on 3 different occasions that this was not the issue/I didnt want them to mess with it on another visit, and after 19 years of this car being smoke free, after two days in their shop I cant get the smoke/musty smell out.
Very unhappy. Friend wanted check engine light diagnosed. They said they could fix it. Drove car for 15 minutes after they supposedly fixed and sounded like engine was going to blow up. They towed it back and said they fixed vacuum leaks and that caused debris to get into the oil. For a bunch more money they could fix it again. After they were done the engine light is still on. Dont take your car there
My elderly mother was having trouble with her 2016 BMW X5, and Steve and his shop went above and beyond to make safety related accommodations related to the pandemic due to her age which was greatly appreciated. We’ve taken several BMW’s and Land Rovers in for service over the years, and hands down the best service in the area. Thanks again Steve and crew for helping my mom out with the recent work on the X5.
Came in for check engine light and abs issues a few other shops had troubles diagnosis and repairing, rich fixed it first try, he knows his stuff.
Always fair and honest. They have worked on a few of our vehicles. We appreciate their honesty.
I really wanted to like this place and I waited so long to write this review because I was unsure. I brought in my audi a5 here for a diagnostic exam. upon dropping off and checking in with the assistant manager alyssa, I was attempted to charge 3 separate diagnostic charges (129$ x 3). This was justified as different issues need different examination. I spoke up and the manager chimed in and said no only 2 charges because one of the issues were likely related. Finally, It was discovered that I needed a new battery per the assistant manager alyssa- I was quoted $700 dollars said okay and then called back to confirm what I heard. She said yes just the battery replacement will be $700. So I call international autos for a quote on a new battery and was quoted $400. It is so sad that she saw a young girl a decided to inflate the prices terribly. I really like the general manager but had not worked with him. They do have great prices for oil changes and were able to diagnose what was wrong but thats all I can say.
Quick and did great work on my Mazda!
Great customer service and prices. Matt ensured that my vehicle was safe!! I highly recommend.
Recently, my car cranked but wouldnt start while I was miles from my home. I took a 10 minute break and thankfully the car started. Not wanting to be stranded in the winter, I took it right over to Import Minded -- based on many positive reviews that Id read. Import Minded ran every diagnostic and reported no problems found. The professional I spoke with patiently explained every test. All I needed was overdue maintenance - brake fluid, oil change. Fair prices! Honest technicians! I will definitely go there again.
Been going there for service and repairs since the 1990s. Fair pricing, personable service, and often deliver more than you expected. Highly recommend.
The guys here seem honest and are friendly. I had the oil changed on my BMW X5. No surprises. I’ll be back!
Scam shop only replace there parts cause they can charge you 3 times the price...
Very attentive to ones needs. Would recommend to anyone whos in need of auto work.
I would recommend this place to anybody with foreign cars, their prices are very reasonable. I dropped my car off at 10 am and had it back by 4 so if your looking for honest dependable work this place is it.
Great people who provide great service.
They charged 2 twice the cost to replace a muffler. Rip off.
They failed to honor an agreement to install the auto parts I purchased. The new manager said he couldnt do it because the employee that said it didnt work there anymore. He mentioned that the parts that customers bring in are always wrong and that they have a new policy.
I bought a 2008 Mini clubman used with approx 63000 miles. This summer the clutch began to slip, and it deteriorated quickly. I found myself facing a repair. I contacted Import Minded. I had heard favorable reviews of their work. I had been leasing new cars for years, and hadn’t been used to repairs. I contacted Joshua at Import Minded. He was friendly and easy to talk to. He helped me by answering my questions in a forthright manner, and assured me that after an inspection he would be able to diagnose the problem. We talked the next day and he assured me it was indeed my clutch, as I had expected. He quoted me a figure I could live with and I authorized the repair. His work was great, the problem was solved in a timely manner. My Mini runs better now then when I bought it. I’m now a strong supporter of Import Minded and would happily recommend them to others. Thank You Joshua Luettgen!
I had an excellent experience with Import Minded who provide the highest quality of work with their professionalism in providing superior service and outstanding personalized customer attention. They are the only people I trust to work on my Lexus gx470
Took my F30 328i in for repairs few weeks back and had nothing but great communication and experience with this shop, worked around my issue and made sure I didn’t over spend on parts and service I didn’t need. Will be coming back here for future repairs
Matt and team are simply fantastic, had to do a quick out of town trip and noticed a small coolant leak from a cooler line and brought it in, Matt went out of the way to accommodate me and fixed it well and professionally and although I insisted to pay for his services he simply refused and did it as a good will .....not many shops around that are fair and honest to their customers and have an vested interest in truly adding value to the import car community, they are certainly getting my business !!
This is the only shop you need in Milwaukee for import service. Extremely professional and knowledgeable shop. Just took my high mileage Nissan Xterra in for some rear suspension issues. They quickly replaced the rear leaf springs and ensured all other parts of the suspension and drive train were functioning properly. This is the only shop I will use for service on my import vehicles. Have taken different vehicles here since the early 2000s and never had anything but an extremely positive experience.
Brought my wifes Audi A4 in for noise problem. Josh was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He thoroughly explained everything. They found out the problem (not what we all thought it was) and had parts and fixed the same day. I would highly recommend Import Minded for any vehicle based on the fantastic service and more importantly, the ethics of Josh and his crew. I thought the prices were reasonable and will be going back to them for all my vehicles.
Highly recommend. Skilled and family owned.
I took my jeep in to have the AC looked at. They got me in right away and repairs made with in the hour. They were 50% less than the Jeep dealer quoted me. I was impressed with the staff, and will go back when my Mercedes needs its next maintenance.
If they communicate better between themselves, I believe this would be a more productive and more effective buisnesses, Josh is definitely, an amazing rep and manager. He is very detailed, and itemizes all transactions. He explains the reasons why and possible scenarios with adequate knowledge of how systems work on your car, past and present. I would recommend this place to anyone for quality work on their vehicle.
Excellent service, accurate estates, high-quality mechanics. Highly recommend.
Recently all the belts replaced in my car. They did a superb job, finished in under 5 hrs!! and at a very reasonable price. They have a courtesy van which is very helpful. I believe the owner is a man named Charlie, he is courteous and explains things well.I had excellent service and would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Great fast service on my Toyota Tundra. Thank you
Great service, would 100% recommend
They fixed the mechanical issue with my convertible top on my Nissan 350Z.I took it in and they had the job done the same day!I appreciate the quick turn around & I was able to enjoy the rest of the summer with no issues. Thanks again!
They only fix what is needed. The prices are reasonable.
I was extremely happy with the service I received at Import Minded. The staff was courteous and professional. They completed my repairs extremely quickly and at a fraction of the cost from other estimates I received. I really feel that this is the place you want to go if you are looking for a fair and honest assessment of auto issues. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and I will continue to be a customer for life.
Took my BMW there for some work. Very professional. I will be going to them again.
I have been taking my Subaru and my wifes Honda to Import Minded for over 20 years. In that time I have never had any issues and the work was always excellent. They are fair and honest. Much more reasonably priced compared to other shops. We have referred many people and no one has ever had a bad experience.Thank you Import Minded for all the years of great service!
They fixed my vehicle when no one else could.
Absolutely incredible. My wife and I own several foreign vehicles (Land Rover & BMW) and after receiving the estimate from the dealership on a 4 point brake job, we had Import Minded perform the work as they were able to deliver 2 weeks earlier and at 50% of the cost. Dealership additionally had several other items they recommended replacement of, all at great expense. Steve and his staff were able to confirm that the items recommended were all unnecessary, and that all parts had significant useful life remaining. One of the last truly reliable/honest mechanic shops out there, and I will continue to highly recommend them to all family and friends.
So many problems but I’ll start with the biggest. Took my sons Honda CR-V for transmission. I tool it to them from Honda as they were cheaper. Got it back never inspected it and parked it in my sons garage. When my son returned it was noticed that the hood of crv was all out of alignment. Import minded said it must have been like that and blamed Honda. Honda checked there cameras it was fine there and finally after much anguish import minded checked there’s after I threatened to call contact 6 well guess what they did it from the tool that was used to put in transmission. The manager josh I think very rude and telling me it was there ect. Took my other sons car there multiple times and many issues 3 times for AC supposed to be warranty always say something different. Took in for steering told it needs a new column now as the pump and knuckle and rack and pinion replaced. Had to have pump replaced again elsewhere and also it was not the colum but the intermediary which they did replace last year but not under warranty cause out of mileage. Funny story about mileage wasn’t written on a receipt and the other receipts written mileage in was 7000 less than the mileage a week later. ? Very dishonest and Rude and they need to be investigated. 5 27 20 in response to owner response today. My daughter has never been there and has no friends named Amanda. It was clearly shown that you guys damaged the crv and the bill was 900 not 1800 and you also tried to tell me where I had to have it fixed. GPS auto fixed it as he knew exactly what caused the damage. I have receipts. The only reason I’ve even come back there was because I thought you’d honor a warranty instead you say it’s not the shaft need a whole column wrong! It was only the shaft which should have been warranteed. 3 parts replaced by import minded were removed replaced by Brett’s Auto less than a year later. You always say it’s something else. Anyway I dont know who Amanda is and that review is certainly not linked to me as I wouldn’t have written a review knowing I would have to come back for you not to honor warranty. It’s unfortunate that a company can not rectify there mistakes admit itand give honest service instead of trying to blame others. All I have to say is if you need your car fixed Run fast and run far from this place.
Very professional. Accommodating of my schedule. Appreciated they explained and showed me was what needed for repair . Very Honest.
The guy was wonderful very knowledgeable
Perfect place
Very knowledgeable staff. They showed me what was wrong on the car and what was right! Most places wont show you. I will be back... great service!
Great service met all my needs!
I have taken my import vehicle here as well as my brother. The first time I received professional service, quick and approachable pricing for work completed. This more recent visit I had some horrible issues with my vehicle, I was patient with the repairs and so was ImportMinded with my busy schedule as I work 70 hours a week and travel for work so I am home in-frequently, it was appreciated. However.... I had to leave my vehicle their for some time. The day I pick up my vehicle, I was thrilled, albeit I noticed a few things that were off. The rear brake pads had some, wear leaving dust on the alloy wheels, low and behold the brake pads were gone. When I had my car serviced before the repairs they had wear but were no where near replacement. Second, there was an odor, it smelled like someone smoked in my car and had sprayed to cover it up. In addition, under my seat I found stuffed a bag of old food dated on the receipt several days before I picked up my car. There were old chicken bones thrown in the back seat of my car just left there to rot out side of the bag left underneath papers from accounts I had been working on before it was serviced. I am assuming my car was used as a joyride vehicle. The worst part is not having to pay to have my car detailed after this, the worst part is having my trust broken...
Worst car repair place in Wisconsin!!! Please don’t go here to get your car fixed. I came in with one problem and it took them three try’s and the problem is still not fixed but instead they added additional repair issues to my car. If I can give this place zero stars I would. The staff is rude and don’t know any answers to basic mechanic issues and have no experience.
Sad the way things ended. These guys are good, the relationship was great for years. Up front guy is a little rude and sarcastic, but oh well. Would recommend. Good prices, theyre knowledgeable.
I have gone to import minded several times. Their inspection fee is only 40.00 and that amount is applied toward the future repair if you choose to proceed. I have had several cars inspected there and some smaller work done and have always been very pleased. They are always the shop I look towards first when I am in need of repairs for my imports. I will remain a loyal customer.
It is impossible to get a complete answer from this company about their diagnosis.I was told I have a bad fuse box on my Mercedes Benz but they failed to say which fuse box. More importantly by saying the fuse box is bad thats essentially saying all fuses within the box are inoperable. if they mean a single fuse is bad just say so. That shouldnt be a $600 repair. Their written response is the technician stands behind his quote.
Friendly, Honest, skilled. My older Honda CR-V check engine light came on and couldnt pass the emissions test. Its been running fine for years, so I couldnt understand. Had it at another place and they wanted to do over $500 worth of work to the engine, when it had NO other symptoms than the emissions test fail. I brought it to Import Minded, and they immediately tried replacing the gas cap and yep that was it. They are honest, they could have made some $$ off me but they didnt. Its hard to trust car repair shops, but I trust this one.
Been coming here for the last few repairs Ive had done. The owners are nice, knowledge, and help explain the problems well. Ive been very happy with the results.
---Import Minded *** Reliable***Trustable***Timely***Knowledgeable***They are the EXPERTS!!!. I had a great experience taking my Honda to Import Minded. I got many issues fixed that couldnt be fixed by previous shops. I absolutely love the service I got and if you have a car with chronic or new issues, Import Minded is where you need to take your car to be repaired. You will feel like you are driving a new car when you leave! Import Minded is the place I recommend to anybody looking for a place to have their car fix!!!
I’ve been taking my car to import minded for years now and I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them!
Took my car here recently. Had trouble that no other car repair shop could fix. I understand that sometimes things take awhile to fix. But they were able to fix it right the first time. Thanks Import minded I will refer my family to your shop.
Great customer service!
Let me just start out by saying I really disapprove anyone going here thats not heavy on the auto things. They tried telling me a price over the phone when I already had a price quoted to me and it was a large penny they were asking for. Then didnt ask me what tune up I needed after myself told them I need a new timing belt and my check engine light is on. After dropping my vehicle off at noon that day they didnt call me at all (telling me the fix was only going to take a couple of hours) then 7pm rolls around and I had no call letting me know my car was going to stay over night. The next morning I called at 9am because they open at 630am and I never received a call. He continued to tell me that it would be done in an hour or two. Noon rolls around and no call, so I called again, asking if my car was done and he said it is. They seem to be slipping on their customer service because when receivin the keys I asked if they cleared out my check engine light and they didnt and told me to give him a call if it goes back on. The next day my check engine light went back on, so I gave him a call, and told him the situation he didnt do anything and told me to just give the previous employee that worked there a phone call and maybe he can help you. They did not tell me my mechanic hasnt been working there for 2-3 weeks now. When I asked for them for that employee to fix it. Never again am I going here or giving them more customer, they take you for granted here! Mind you they tried telling me to give them a positive review on here because I was very upset about having to pay over what the price I was quoted for by the same place.
After a horriable experience at another garage ( I had to go back 5 times) having parts thrown at my car trying to fix the AC, I was so happy to find this place. They did an outstanding job diagnosing and repairing my car. They didnt just guess about what might be wrong with it. They found the problem and fixed it right the first time. They went out of their way to make me happy and If I have any other problems with it, I will only take it back to Import Minded.
Great shop. Affordable, quality work. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good local mechanic.
I took my 1998 BMW 528i to Import Minded after going to a local BMW dealership and I will foremost say I am very glad that I did. I took my car to the dealership for constantly having a dead battery in the morning. Once I went to the dealership the focus was more on pressuring me to trade my car in, and the prices they were throwing out there were ridiculously in the thousands. I took my car to Import Minded and the problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired the next day for only $750 compared to the $4,500 the dealer was going to charge me to re-wire my car or to trade it in on a new model. I love how friendly and honest these guys are, as they are always willing to explain and demonstrate what my issues are. I will never go to a dealer again. I am very grateful for them helping me and letting me keep my car for years now.
We have been taking our cars here for years. Fantastic service. Never disappointed. Fast service and very reasonable. Wouldnt trust our cars to anyone else!!
Amazing service and they took the time to explain the issue and actually showed me the issue. Knowledgeable staff whether you are having issues with a daily driver or are looking for high performance improvements. I now bring all of my vehicles here.
I work at a much more ethical and professional independent automotive repair garage. Two separate occasions within the last few months I have had former customers of import minded in my shop. The second one owns an oddity of a minivan known more commonly as a Toyota Privia, while not our usual European sports car/suv, it’s still unique and the customer was extremely friendly. As I learned later on from Mr. Previa, Import minded had installed a new engine earlier this year. Mr. Previa’s initial concern and reason for bringing his vehicle to us stemmed from a “belt noise” and poor running issues. After removing the front passenger seat and footwell carpeting to gain access to the engine (which is in the middle of Toyota Previas) we found an improperly installed (leaking from multiple spots) head gasket allowing unmetered air into the engine which created a pretty severe running issue. The “belt noise” was in fact coming from old drive and accessory belts which really should have been addressed when the engine was last removed...When I learned that the engine which had be installed earlier this year and was likely covered under any reputable repair garages warranty, I called import minded to see if they wanted to do right by their customer, in other words fixing a built in issue under warranty. Whatever service advisor picked up the phone must have read caller ID and made an assumption about what business I was calling from since he joked for the first minute of the phone call. Eventually the advisor realized I wasn’t with a parts store, worked at different repair garage, and was interested in knowing if this customers repair fell under whatever warranty they offer he proceeded to cover his initial rudeness by asking for the name of the customer again. The problems that we found would have been covered under their warranty, so I gave him the option of calling the customer to let them know that information himself before I did, my offer was not taken kindly, and following another string of unprofessional vocabulary coming from what’s supposedly an “Import Minded” businesses I hung up and finished quoting what it would take for us to fix a built in issue. If that is the type of “talent” offered at the front counter at import minded it is no surprise that when I called my new customer he had no desire to return to them and proceeded to pay us over $2,000 to fix this places mistakes that would have been covered under warranty by import minded for free.Bottom line, this facility has made a very poor impression with more than a few people (who my shop now looks out for), try your luck with them if you want poor service and a wimpy one year warranty.
Needed a coil replaced on a 2002 BMW M3. Without consent, they replaced all 6 spark plugs, charging twice the price of purchasing myself, and charged 1.84 hrs of labor to replace spark plugs!! That came out to at least $250 of extra charges that were not needed, or requested. These guys are cheaper than a dealer, but they are still preying on customers. Go somewhere else! After doing some research, I found that a trustworthy mechanic could have repaired my car for about $250, I ended up with a bill over $700. What can you do? Pay it, complain and write a review so others wont get scammed.
WORST REPAIR SHOP IN MILWAUKEE!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!Had to take my car here THREE times for the same repair because they didnt do it correctly. They did not do the diagnostic correctly and made me pay thousands of dollars for things I did not need. Now my engine needs more work than ever, because more problems happened from their faulty work. There were plastic pieces left in my engine from when the expansion tank was fixed. Horrible. They refused to take my car back for service when I finally got upset with them for having to take it there 3 times. Not to mention, the new personnel up front (Tom) very condescending and disrespectful. Charlie and Steve are just as bad for not remedying the issue. I have been disrespected too many times and was told, Ill give you a picture of him if you want, Ill give you a picture of the whole family when I requested Charlie and Steve (the owners) several times, as if I an in the wrong for wanting to talk to the owners after having made 4 trips and spent over $1000 on this, just to have the same issues. For someone who has self proclaimed been in the business for a long time, you shouldnt treat your customers like that, nor should you make light of it, as he stated when I expressed my discontent with his comments. I also never heard back from the owners when I left several messages requesting their call back. It wouldnt surprise me if the voicemails were deleted before they could even hear them, or perhaps they dont care either. Even though he too can be hard to work with, youre better off going to Jason Imports down the road.I have spent well over $10k overall through the years with these guys just to have this happen now. Sad, really.**Customer service and quality of repairs has decreased exponentially over the last year. They dont seem to care about their long term customers. Very disappointing.**
Fast and friendly service! Fixed right the first time!
Ive been going for years and my 99 Honda CR-V has 218,000 miles on it. Today I took the car in for noise that seemed to be coming from the wheels. They told me none of the wheel bearings needed replacing and the noise was from my tires. Which have plenty of tread. No charge.I have been satisfied every time Ive been there and referred them to others who are also satisfied. I give them top notch ratings.
Great service and fast.
These guys rock! I actually got more work done which was less expensive than monro or Firestone in my honda accord! The guys are really knowledgeable and showed me everything. I will gladly come back and refer anyone here. They also worked on my impala. Again great experience. Didnt know they work on domestics too. You have to try these guys!
I had a new Stillen exhaust back system installed to replace the stock system on my 2014 Nissan Maxima on 9/14/2016. They got my vehicle in on time and out on time and kept to the exact price quoted for the service. Im quite satisfied and would recommend this shop without hesitation. These folks are friendly and helpful.
The short story: Garbage/negligent service at an overly expensive price! The long story: Took my car (99 Mazda 626) in to get some leaking fixed. Needed a valve cover gasket and radiator hoses (Cost: $1400). This car isnt my primary car and doesnt get driven that often, with that being said, about a week later I took it for a 1/2hr round-trip drive; it started overheating on the way to my destination. I let the engine cool down for 20-minutes, went to the gas station immediately and picked up antifreeze and oil (it was dark and I could not see which was low). The radiator took the entire bottle of antifreeze and was not full. The next day I took the car to a shop near my house, they found that the radiator hose was not attached to the radiator. I called Import Minded, they had the car towed to their shop where they reattached the hose and sent the car on its way, but the damage to the car had already been done! When I took it for a routine oil change (to the same shop that discovered the radiator hose was off) they found that the oil looked metallic and said that whoever had this car before you didnt take care of it, UNTIL I told him that I inherited this car, when my mom passed away, who bought it brand new and reminded him of the Import Minded story with the radiator hose and the tow; he remembered, retracted his statement and said that the engine burned up because of Import Mindeds error. Of course, Import Minded is going to take no responsibility for their error but instead tried saying that it happened because I didnt get the oil pan gasket replaced like they recommended...The current mechanic said thats B.S. and that he hasnt noticed any oil pan leakage since hes had it for the past 2 days!
Baddd
Went to some other mechanic in fox hills that specializes in Volvo, took my car for timing belt change, was quoted one price, then the final bill came out to $200 more than what I was quoted. Didnt even bother to tell me the price changed. Moneys tight, that was not right. Avoided that volvo specialist and the dealership because they outright told me after a diagnostic that my transmission was toast and happily suggested I buy a new car. Oddly enough I could still drive with manuallyshifting the gears. So took it to Import Minded after a friend recommended this place. They took a look, called a few hours later, suggested a transmission flush. Lo and behold, the car worked again. No thanks to the volvo dealership. They were honest and quick, glad to have my car functioning again. I only take my car here for repairs and maintenance.
I get my heritage BMW serviced here and have always had an excellent experience. They have BMW-certified mechanics here and are cheaper than local dealer service.
Import minded is the way to go even if they take a little bit longer then expected they make sure its done right I highly recommend going here👍🏻
Nice people but I would appreciate more If I get a printed estimate (not hand written)
They will help u with your foreign car,, very knowledgeable and friendly.
Import Minded is really the place to take any car, import or domestic alike. They have experienced service writers that want to work for you. I definitely recommend anybody to take their car here.
I love this place every time I come in I get treated like family very well respected place and do great service
Great service and honest
I took my 2006 Audi a4 to Import minded, Lorne the owner/ Manager said a diagnoses is free, both the AIRBAG and the BRAKE lights were on. 30-45mins later he gives me a list of unnecessary things that I should fix which is fine, but he didnt mention the BRAKE light or the AIRBAG! and when I asked about the brake light he said oh your front brake and rotors need to be changed and I said what about the airbag light? he said we cleared it from the system and shouldnt be coming on, if it does it will cost around $1200.I get my car back, the airbag light is ON so I went straight to the dealer to find out that the BRAKE light was on due to low brake fluid and the airbag message on the dash was never cleared, loren was basically lying so I can pay the $1200 and get new brakes and rotors that i didnt need. Be careful before you do work by them if you decide to do any and dont trust them, always get your car checked out at multiple places before getting work done.
I take my bmw there, best service. Fast and thorough
They are the place to go for work on Honda. Fast service and was cheaper than Midas!
Ive had my car serviced at this location 4 times this year. After the first repair ($440) my check engine light came back on again almost immediately after arriving at my home I called and was told to bring it back in. This went on another 2 times 4 times in all. Well $1,050 later my car is in the same shape that it was in the first time I took it to this location. The technicians here claim to be master techs when in actuality they are just mechanics who guess what the problem and charge you for the privilege. Ironically the paper work detailing the work that was done can not be located. Needless to say I am filing a claim in small claims court, I will not be taken advantage of. I would not recommend this place at all its the equivalent to throwing your money out the window.
They are dishonest and liars. When they tell you this is the fix of fixes. Prepare to be deceived and lie to and drag out for weeks. They held my vehicle for over 3 weeks to address a check engine light and they determine I needed a rebuild part which was never installed because they blame the vendor for the delay. And never disclosed what was done and or fixed. My vehicle remains unfixed.STAY AWAY... you will regret.
Great guys that are upfront about everything.
Owner kept me informed as to the diagnosis through the repairs with options.
