With winter coming, its a good time to think about remote starters. From experience, alarmtronic located in West Allis is my top choice to have one installed. Randy, the Owner is not only excellent at installing remote starters he, goes all out to make sure his customers are satisfied. He is honest, caring, and his prices are very reasonable.

I havent even done business here. Why am I giving it a 3 star then? Because EVERY time I attempt to call lately between 3 - 5 times during a given day for this last week I ALWAYS get the recording with no ring whatsoever. If your closed, understaffed then voicemail should be stated instead, Im getting a sense of false hope calling to get 30 seconds of information.

(update)2 months after the installation, someone tried stealing my car. Classic way, broke into the window, tried the steering column. Long story short, they couldnt start the car! This kill switch really works! Even if I still need to repair the window glass and steering parts, this is a minimal damage compared to when its actually taken. I am happy I had this installed. Thank you!!------Had a kill switch installed in my Hyundai sedan. Staff was professional, friendly and welcoming. Randy explained what my possible options were, which I appreciated. The installation was completed on a promised timeline (3 hours). Fair pricing. Ive been telling people about this shop already.

So, starting off, it was extremely hard to get an appointment. I called on and off for weeks. Finally I was able to get in to install a remote start. In the call, I wasn’t told anything but what the remote start started at. The day arrives to drop off my car; I go in and hand the keys off. One of the guys told me which one I was getting. (I didn’t have an option to choose from- my car is a newer car so I feel I should have been able to be given options). I didn’t know much about it and trusted they knew what they were doing, so I dropped off the keys and left.I’ve only had remote start once in a previous car so I didn’t have much to compare to. I go to pick up my car, they explain how it works and test it out with me. I was told to hit the remote three times to start, three times to turn off. I asked, “Does the car stay in even when I get in or do I have to hit the start button”. Missy was the one who showed me, she said, “No, you just get in and go”.I was excited, I thought it was cooler than I thought. So, she walks away, I go to open the door, and my car shuts off. I was confused because I was just told that my car would stay running. I brought my concern to one of the guys. He said she didn’t know what she was talking about and it is supposed to work like that. He was nice after that comment and said if I needed anything, he was there to help.My final thoughts: I am really upset and disappointed because this is not the option I saved for. It’s annoying to start my car ahead of time, just to get in and it turn off again. I feel like it was a waste of money, and I wasn’t given all the information I needed to make an informed decision. I would have paid more at the time for an option less annoying and stupid. I wish I could either get a refund and take business elsewhere, or be offered a better remote start based on the bad experience I had. I’ve worked in customer service and I know the importance of fixing something if it’s wrong.I didn’t ask much about the choice ahead of time, because I wasn’t experienced enough to know there were lots of differences. I feel this was their job to inform me and help me make the best decision, but they didn’t.So please use this review to your advantage to make the best decision. I would not recommend based on my personal experience.

I went in today for an alarm & drone service was great! only thing was idk how to work my alarm if I hit my car the alarm doesn’t go off idk if it’s something I have to activate but when I was in the shop one of the guys showed me by hitting the window and the alarm went off but idk how to work that out because I’m a very forgetting person please help 🤣🥲

! Must read entire comment for a conclusion to our experience ! Dont stop if driving by and you want to ask a question relating to getting an alarm. Their lot is surely a small footprint and if their lot is full the lady inside will rip you a new one about parking on it, even though I conscientiously parked in a way as to not block the car outside a bay that was being worked on by the owner. Who then got into it with me over nothing really. I can understand that he was probably under the gun and stressed a bit, but that lady needs to grow a brain to help fashion her approach to a potential customer.Well, my wifes car was just stolen with her 5 mo old alarm. I had told her initially to go back and complain about the inadequate sensors as part of the alarm system. I was not impressed to say the least, and certainly where they put the blinking security light. Lowest part of the instrument panel to the let of steering wheel, and only visible if you get up next to window and look down.I then got her a steering wheel anti theft club like devise. She hasnt been been putting it on all the time for some reason. The police said that the steering wheel locks are the best deterent. As far as Im concerned, a waste of money for that $40 something alarm for almost $300 installed. I generously gave them 3 stars only because the installer went through the motions, and the fact that I was the one who chose to go there. As far as CS from the lady...1 star if that.

Very friendly, professional and had my car done on time as promised. Randy installed a remote start on my Mazda CX-5 at a great price using my factory key fob. I also opted for the Drone Mobile which allows me to start and monitor my car from anywhere. It even shows my car on a map of where its parked!

Due to the fact that they have no waiting in the store because of Covid 19, I found the experience very pleasant! Typical south side hospitality and also they were very informative and the job was finished before time. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants the job done correctly. I purchased a starter for my daughter for a B=DAY PRESENT and when I got it home I gave her the same instructions that were given to me. She loves it and now they dont have to get into a cold car making winter more bearable. this is the best place to go for anything you want finished the right way, also make sure you have a ride home while the job is being done only because of COVID 19 I am positive yo will be totally satisfied. Unfortunately my car was stolen with the alarm activated. I bought it from them 4 months ago. It obviously did nothing to stop them. I didnt put the steering wheel club on because I thought that I was going to go back out. Big mistake, and the fact that I bought some cheesy alarm.

Randy, the owner, is a very helpful guy. Didnt try to sell me any system but helped me with the cheapest option for what I went in for!(maybe he made more profit by giving me the cheapest option for me....lol....but as long I didnt pay an arm and leg for what I went in for.....I dont care how much he made....hey that is how he makes his living!). After going from place to place, and even Dealers, I was able to get a replacement remote control for my vehicle. The owner was helpful in describing what I needed to do. Unfortunately the control that I need is no longer made, but lucky he had one in stock along with a used one. He hooked it up and we were on our way. Definitely worth the drive from Racine . Will definitely be back with my next vehicle!

I had a remote start installed on my wife’s car. The owner & installer were very professional. The car is an older Lincoln & not one of their favorites to work on from what I was told but the job was completed in an acceptable amount of time. Fast forward 1 year. I had a windshield repair done on the same car & tech from Safelite forget to re-install remote start antennae. Safelite could not find the antennae when I went back to them. They sent me to Alarmtronix at their expense & the owner came out & replaced the antennae himself. In & out in 5 minutes. Great customer service after the sale.

This location has its history, knowledge, and experience to backup why it is the best at what they do. Too many new places push for extravagant features, accessories, and bells and whistles that you may not need for your vehicle. Alarmtronics is not that kind of place. Explain what you want and they’ll guide you on what you need.I now have a place that I totally feel comfortable recommending to friends, co-workers, and family.The location is not an extremely large facility and their staff is a small group of trained professional technicians. So, because of that, I recommend calling ahead and scheduling an appointment especially since you’ll have to have your car at the location as the work is being done.

I wasn’t able to get my new iphone 11 pro to sync. I had visited Alarmtronics and Randy the owner offered to assist me. He explained what downloads I needed to download, I did and still had problems as I’m not good with this stuff. So I returned with more questions. Randy actually took the time to download the necessary firmware which I couldn’t and loaded it into my car. Without all of his help, I still would be listening to the radio....yikes. All together he spent about an hour with me and NO CHARGES!! I still feel I owe him something for being such a helpful person. He could have easily sold me another radio but instead he made sure mine worked! Great Guy! I would definitely SEE him for any of your car electronic needs! Thanks Again, Randy! A++++ in my mind!

Called asking about prices and 9am the next morning I had an appointment for a car start. Friendly service. The main desk lady was lovely and took the time to help each individual Customer despite it being busy. Took the time to come out to my car in the cold and show me how everything works and some cool tricks I can do now. The only thing I would recommend would be make sure you get the desk number because the number off google I called to check on my car went straight to voicemail. Other then that I am very happy and a satisfied customer :-) 👍👍👍

November 1, 2016... 75 degrees... but I was thinking Winter! I was blessed by many of my friends with gift cards for my birthday so I could purchase a remote starter. This place was awesome. The staff was extremely helpful, efficient and soooooooo friendly. If you are in the market for a remote starter, I would def recommend this establishment.

I didn’t have a real bad experience with the installation itself but just with the sales tactics. When I was being sold of the alarm he told me that my brand was cover by a lifetime guarantee on batteries and issues if they should arrive, well after only 6 months the batteries died and they are $5 each. So I went back and I was told that the batteries weren’t free for my “ model” just the brand but a higher model will be cover so l was like that’s not what the owner told me when I was picking out the alarm, at the end he end up replacing it but told me that it’s the last time he’s covering it because it’s not free.

Outstanding, ongoing customer service. Had a Drone remote car starter installed years ago, then had Randys team move it into a new car & have been back for occasional service issues (no fault of theirs) throughout the years. I have always been extremely happy with the service. Highly recommend Alarmtronics & the Drone remote system that allows me to start my car from my phone - no more getting into a hot or cold car. 👍

I have been a customer for years. I would never take my car anywhere else!!! The technicians are amazing and the kind courteous Staff explain everything you would need to know and even tells you you can give them a call or even stop back in if you need any guidance… I read another comment that said they were open on Mondays… I have never known Randy to be open on Mondays in the spring summer time perhaps he called the wrong place???? Great overall experience! Excellent staff that is very knowledgeable and courteous. When they give you a estimated time on work they have vehicle ready.

I didnt actually get any systems through them, but I bought a used car that did, with remote start and compustar and drone mobile. I thought I needed to fix or tweak a few things, but turned out everything was fine after they looked it over. Although I didnt actually get much modified through them, they seem quite nice and very ready to work on whatever the customers needed. If I need a system (security or audio), Id go back.

I had a very good experience bringing my own xm kit into the shop. They installed it in a couple hours and charged less than best buy with less hassle. They were very knowledgeable as well.

I went in to get my remote replaced. I have a 2004 Honda CRV. I was elated when I was told they could help me! The service there was fantastic and very very reasonable. Starting with Miranda at the front desk. She was very congenial and helpful. Randy did his magic in the service department. They took real good care of me. I highly recommend them. I had a remote start put in a few months ago for my belated birthday present and for the first month it worked great! I called Randy to explain what happened and he told me to come in right away. I had to wait a few days so I could drop it off but as soon as I could, I went in and dropped it off. Randy called me in a few hours and told me my car was done. When I got there he told me that he swapped out the system for a complete new one and it was no charge for it. I WILL BE RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!! THANK YOU RANDY :)

Stereo one has cheaper products and better service

Stopped in to get a new remote for my truck because the automatic start wasnt working.Car-feteria had closed and I found out my Viper alarm system needed to be worked on. Scheduled a drop off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon.

I called the store manager, and he mentioned that the alarm installation fee starts at $65. After a long time of driving (35 min), I got there, and he told me that it would be $135 as for the labor fee for installing a basic alarm system that I had already bought myself on Amazon!Interestingly, he mentioned that he would need three hours to install it on my car which is a Honda civic 1998!More interestingly, he mentioned that I had to set up an appointment for the installation operation during the weekdays which will take HALF A DAY for him to finish! He said that he would take time soldering connections for hours!! (What?? It is all sockets and very basic wiring!)Having been shocked by his terms and fees, I went to a nearby store called Stereo One, and the guy installed it for me for $100 and guess what, in just 40 min! No appointments! No high labor fees!I have owned many cars, and I do not know, but for some reason people think that you were born yesterday! Which is such a shame for many businesses today!!

Just recently got my remote start system done on my 2001 dodge durango and they are very helpful friendly and polite. They were very resourceful with answering my questions I had in regard to my remote and what to do with my old key fob. Their prices are very fair and will keep me coming back. I would like to thank alarmtronix for all the help and the great service they gave me. Will be coming back to get my system done.

I called and was interested in having keyless entry systems, etc. installed on potentially multiple trucks. I gave the manager who answered the phone my name but he wouldnt tell me his name. He apparently thought, incorrectly, that I was trying to sell him something. He wont let me explain. In my opinion, I was treated very rudely by the manager. If this is how they treat a potential customer, how would they treat a customer that has already paid and has a problem? Ill find another installer. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

They never answer the phone or return calls when I call or leave messages. I wont do business with them if that is a indication of how their business is

I had a 1:00 appt. When I got there they said that I had to drop off car. I was never told I had to drop it off, or I would have made plans to drop it off! They wouldn’t let me wait in store or take car and go five minutes away until they had an opening. They were more worried about eating their lunch than trying to figure out how they could help me. Wasted time and day I had to take off of work just so they could be rude and NOT help!

Paid 3500 for a complete car stereo. Still doesnt work . fm all static. Back speakers dont work. Randy just keeps making excuses why it dont work. And now he wont even look at it. Worst service ever. No pride in their work.

Needed to upgrade my CompuStar remote and Randy was able to do so in a matter of a half hour! I called on short notice and he said come on down and well get it taken care of for you! And Miranda, what a gem!!

If you care about having a working car- do not come here. First, it was hard to get a hold of them during their business hours. When I went in there, the salesman, I think his name was Randy, was very rude and quick to just take my keys, and seemed really bothered by me asking questions so customer service was not there at all. I ended up getting a remote start and dropped my car off. When I came back, they couldnt start my car with the remote start and needed to wait double the time. He said it still was not working, and I just asked them to remove it since it is a year old car, and need it driveable. They removed it, and my car will not even start without the remote start now and the salesman blamed us and said it did not work properly before we brought it in, well how did I get it to your business? They will not take responsibility for their shoddy work, and will be paying to repair my car. Also, the price on the remote start was about $400. Do not recommend.

I have to say I’ve been going to alarmtronics since they were on Muskego Ave. very knowledgeable, quality equipment, small shop so may have to wait a day or two to get in. But WELL WORTH IT.

Very professional and detail oriented. I visited Alarmtronix a few years ago in hopes to address a bad install from another company. The owner brought me into the shop and showed me where the issues were. He was very reasonable with the price and I havent had any issues since the fix. I just purchased another vehicle and Alarmtronix did a fantastic job installing the Drone system. I highly recommend Alarmtronix!

Randy and Luis installed a keyless entry / alarm on my daughters car. It did not work . This involved half a day . Also her running lights, horn and cruise control no longer worked either. Took it back, had them remove the unit and told them to get her back into the condition it arrived in . They only managed to get the running lights fixed . This involved a 9 hr day. With no horn or cruise control, I sought out help from Stereo 1 One on 84th Street . They found the problem and corrected all the wiring from black tape to the proper soldering technique. They also installed an awesome remote start/ alarm/ keyless entry in 2 hrs !!! What a wonderful concept !!! I gave Randy 2 stars because they did refund my money and he has great taste in music

I was in the market for a new car stereo for my wives 2006 Mini Cooper. After I left the shop down the block from this store I was wondering if I would be able to find what I wanted. The first shop did not have a quality unit and I felt like this was not the place for me.Driving past this place I just stopped and figured lets give this a try. When I walked in the owner greeted me and was so helpful. He assured me the Sony system with a speaker package was just what I needed. In addition he promised me that the steering wheel controls would work with the new system. In addition he set it up so the system had bluetooth phone and audio. The factory system did not have this.The next morning I dropped the car off at 8 am and came back at 5 pm to pick it up. The system was amazing. The sound was great, professional installed and no hidden fees. The bluetooth phone works perfect and so does the audio. They downloaded an app on my Iphone and it made it very easy to work the new system.I would recommend this shop to anyone.
