Loved working with Colorwheel for the second time - estimators Jim (exterior) and Andrew (interior) have been incredible to work with - knowledgeable, thoughtful and offering different options to help stick within our budget. For our most recent project, Alberto painted the 2nd floor fascia and porch. We were able to do color matching on the patio and for the fascia we had an old paint can that was used. They were able to fit us in soon after the estimate and work was completed in 2 days. Hoping to work with Andrew soon on interior pieces - in working with him in the past, he has been helpful with advice, recommendations and referrals to others. Love working with Colorwheel!

I am delighted with the job Colorwheel did on our horrible, difficult to paint, depressing stairwell which had been something I wanted redone for a long time, along with the hall upstairs. It’s a real weight off me to look into that stairwell and see this beautifully done paint job. It glows. Everyone involved was terrific. Matt and Al from Colorwheel did a great job in our home. They removed old wallpaper, refinished damaged drywall and added texture to match existing walls. Then they did a professional painting job using primer and two coats and cleaned up after themselves. We highly recommend their services.

Unfortunately we had a not so great experience with this company. We hired them for kitchen cabinet and wall painting at recommendation from a family member. It started with poor communication regarding our project from the get go. We didn’t get our final start date until the day before the project. For being professional painters, the quality of painting was subpar on both the cabinets and the walls. Many missed spots and poor coverage on the walls as well as “runny” paint marks on the cabinets. Finally, maybe it’s the quality of paint but after only about 6 months of use, it looks like we already need a touch up. Thankfully they let us an extra quart of the paint they used.

Despite living in the Fort Atkinson area we went with Colorwheel several years ago because no one near us would strip the many, many layers of paint from our stair stringers and stain them and the stairs. They were willing to come out to take a look and we also had them paint a few rooms. We were happy with the job they did so we hired them again when we needed some plaster work done in two rooms, have several rooms and our hallway painted, and get our trim and moulding stain to match.We got Sheryl, the same person who did our last job. It was a pretty big job and stretched out over a couple of weeks, as Mike, the owner, told us from the start. Sheryl always started early and was gone by the time I got home from work, cleaned up after herself each day, and wasnt bothered by our energetic dog. Most importantly she once again did a good job. While not cheap, the estimate and the actual cost were pretty much in line with each other so no surprises there.I also find it worth noting that following the job completion I had some trim work to do around the bathroom. I used a jar of stain she left behind thinking it would match only to find it was a little off. I contacted her to find that she mixed it with a varnish. I was about to toss the trim but she patiently guided me through a few steps that might salvage the oak trim I had cut and turns out, it was a pretty close match to the rest of the hallway trim.I found Mike and Sheryl to be very accomodating and responsive to all of our inquiries and scheduling issues. Once a date was nailed down they adhered to it and we were happy with the end result. I have no reservations recommending Colorwheel.

This is a great painting company. They painted our kitchen, hallway and upstairs bathroom two years ago and last year painted our very high ceiling large great room and the exposed upstairs hall and loft and some trim around the front door and garage door. For each piece Mike quoted a great price and the crews did a fantastic job. I tried to get things out of their way but whatever I didn’t they quickly protected with plastic and heavy duty soft blankets. In less time than it would take me to tape any individual room off they taped off, painted, removed tape and cleaned. It is amazing to see how fast professionals tape and paint and how perfectly they put paint on. They filled dents and holes and left the house cleaner than they arrived. With the kitchen they saved me weeks in a day and I wouldn’t even try to paint twenty foot high walls so in the great room they worked magic. The only problem with Color Wheel is they are so busy it can be hard to get on their schedule so plan ahead and have them do the job. You will never regret it. Great company, highest recommendation.

Steve and I were introduced to Mike and his team a couple of years ago by our remodeler. We are thrilled with the work they have done and, just as important, with their extreme customer service. Bill did painting and staining work for us a couple of years ago as part of our home remodeling. We then had all of our interior six-panel doors painted. They are beautiful, and what a difference that has made. Sheryl stained our new pine patio door this week, and its gorgeous. A great stain match. The list continues. As first time homeowners, we wanted a home with character and personality. We moved into our 1920’s Bungalow two years ago and have since added our own flare to the interior. Seriously fantastic job. We had just moved in and we definitely threw plenty of curve balls at our project manager Andrew with our crazy schedules and juvenile understanding of how paint works, but he was able to accommodate with ease, patience, and professionalism. I feel highly disrespected by this company. I had someone come to give me a quote on painting two rooms. The person doing the quote, who knew I had a competitor also giving me a quote, told me something along the lines of If you were looking for the cheapest option, that probably isnt us. We often give the highest quote price. He proceeded by taking photos and measurements. It has been almost a week and I havent received my quote yet. The project is done and still no quote. Their competitor gave me a quote on the spot. Im under the impression the person giving me a quote judged me and though I was looking for the cheapest option and thus never followed up. RUDE!

Mike and the expert painters at Colorwheel are without question the best painting team in Wisconsin! They take the time to really learn what their customers are looking for, have great communication throughout the entire project and provide a the highest quality work at the best value. When I moved to Whitefish Bay four years ago, I was so glad I found Colorwheel through a personal recommendation. Mike and his team are all super nice, professional and projects are priced reasonably. Our most major project was spray painting our kitchen cabinets which still look great. They were also infinitely patient, even repainting an entire room when I couldnt make up my mind on colors for bedrooms. Ive had Jenny to the house recently to do some refresh painting and she was fantastic. Arrived on time, couldnt be more helpful, worked quickly and left everything immaculate. So, signed a contract with this company In April and as of today our house is still not painted. They started the project July 31. My husband and I did go on vacation as we had that planned for several months for a week and a half. They came back on Wednesday of the middle of August and that is it so far. They obviously don’t look at radar because it was supposed to rain and guess what the rain missed us. As a matter fact the sun is shining out to this afternoon so one would think they would’ve been out here earlier at least finish the first coat. But wait there is more... they have broken off the furnace exhaust pipe outside; broken off 2 tree branches off of my neighbors Pine tree in between our house, power wash not only my house but my windows as well. They do not clean up after themselves. I still have tape around one of my outside windows, my planters were left in the middle of my yard, all their ladders yeah they leave them at your house as well And some even still in the upright position.They also took the electrical wires that were attached to my electric box outside of my house and have now rubber banded them so they are hanging down about 2 feet from my house. I do have a small child that lives with me so imagine a latter left up right and live wires - can you say safety concerns!My husband is now outside painting the side of my garage himself as he is tired of waiting for them to come and finish. The communication is also very poor. I don’t have any idea as to when they’re going to show up!I think the biggest frustration was when I talk to the lead painter of the crew he denied breaking off the furnace exhaust pipe and so forth so now I have no trust and no faith with this company. Oh and did I mention that I’m still waiting for my house to be finished!

This was a great experience with Colorwheel painting. From contacting them via their website for a quote to having Rylie come for an estimate and having Jen and Liz do the painting was great experience. We needed a bathroom, bedroom and hallway painted (walls and ceilings). Rylie came within two days of contacting Colorwheel and I had estimate within in my email 48 hours of his visit. Everything we discussed was in the contract and the price was reasonable and the time frame for painting was well within our timeframe to have it completed. When Liz and Jen showed up on the morning they were to start, Rylie was with them to ensure they understood what was to be done. (as side note my wife and I were pleasantly surprised that Jen and Liz showed up, we both said we will be getting a great job because in our opinion Ladies do much better job on painting and wallpapering due to their eye for detail..) We were 100% correct, Liz and Jen worked for one day and couple hours the next and they laid runners down and made sure our furniture was well covered prior to painting, and they did a super job. When they were done, other then having great looking rooms, we did non ot know they were here. Rylie came to make sure all was done to our satisfaction when they finished and he checked their work and there were no issues. Great company to do work with and we will have them again in near future to do more painting in our home.

Just recently I was thinking of how great a job you all have done on my kitchen cabinets!! I think it was about 3 years ago that you painted them and I am still and often happy with the job you did. They have had such a lovely finish and have not cracked or chipped or in any way disappointed me. I clean them often--they are very light grey--and they have held up stupendously. Its been so stressful to deal with my new home. But working with Colorwheel Painting has been the easiest part of the whole ordeal!! Everyone I worked with at Colorwheel displayed the same accessible attitude--you can really tell that the owner instills a positive working culture in his employees, which is a difficult thing to find in a business.I see some negative reviews on here saying that Colorwheel was unprofessional. I would guess that these people arent used to being treated with such honesty and friendliness. It can be confusing to be treated as a person when you are expecting a business to lack compassion and humanity (like they often do).If you expect to be deceived and exploited for profit, prepare to be surprised by Colorwheel Painting. Youll be happy you worked with them!

Colorwheel Painting was a wonderful experience for us. Rylie Stelter, a most engaging young man, guided us through the nightmarish job of wallpaper removal done extremely professionally by Rich Sowinski. After the removal, the room was painted and looks brand new in spite of the fact its 100th birthday is now. Rylie truly knows the art of professional work as well as knowledge in color coordination. We couldnt be happier with the quality of Colorwheels work and have plans to use them again in the future. And, theyre extremely reasonable as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

So, after reading all the reviews for this company, I decided to go there to see for myself because I am looking to get my home repainted. First, its a business that you cant just walk into. Its by appointment only, it says that on the door.There was a lady in the building, but they were closed. Really?! I had to leave a message. The people that left not so good reviews I see why. Ive owned a home for over 30 years and again experienced a terrible customer service experience recently. It makes me wonder who nowadays does do a job correctly?? Well Im here to tell you who: Colorwheel thats who. Im fed up with contractors not showing up, furniture and appliance stores delivering the wrong thing on and on. What ever happened to hiring somebody who just comes and does it the right way end of story?? I have found who does this and it is Colorwheel painting. I hired Colorwheel to paint my 90s oak cabinets Dover white and they are brilliant and beautiful and then they repainted my mantle in a colored varnish in a dark chocolate brown and it is beautiful. They came, they did it and its perfect! Thank You! I dont know why no other contractors or stores can do anything right in this world.

In May 2018 we had our bathroom remodeled and our remodeler contracted with Colorwheel Painting. This was our first experience with this company. Andrew came with a ton of color choices and helped select a color that turned out to be better than I imagined! After the job was done, we asked for the name of the painter because the bathroom was beautifully painted and absolutely NO MESS! So great, in fact, that we asked for Jamee again - this time for our master bedroom and office. Jamee painted both rooms over the 4th of July Holiday and, again, so perfect! Andrew came over and provided a quote and again helped select colors (so great in this area) and Jamee is the epitome of workmanship & excellence! We highly recommend Colorwheel Painting (especially Jamee).

Working with Colorwheel LLC has been nothing less than a disaster! We are so disappointed that we ever worked with Colorwheel LLC, as having someone paint and repair our home was supposed to make life easier to move into our new home and prepare for a new baby. Instead it has added so much unnecessary stress and missed work due to the amount of times we had to continuously meet with Mike and his team because the job was not completed properly the first, second, third, etc. time. We hope that this can be resolved fairly as Mike Madsen of Colorwheel LLC has been far from fair or professional throughout this entire process, and we are now left with a home looking worse than before we ever let him into it.
