I called in the morning for a kids haircut, and the lady who answered was very nice, and told me she had a same day appointment. My son who is 4years old was afraid at first but the hairstyles was great with my son that made him feel comfortable. Ill definitely will take my son again for a haircut.

It seems like its been years (probably because it has been) since I was completely satisfied with a hair cut. Ive tried at least a half dozen other hair cutters since the one who I used to go to decided to leave the business and go into real estate.I cant say that any of the hair cuts Ive gotten in the interim were terrible, but none was particularly good, either. Today--FINALLY--I like my hair again. Vikki Hales did the cut. And miracle of miracles, she listened closely when I told her what I wanted and then, she did exactly as I requested. As Arnold said, Ill be back.

Rose was amazing! She was friendly and warm and made me feel comfortable immediately. She listened to what I wanted and produced results beyond my expectations. I will definitely be back and I will bring my kids to her now too. Thank you Rose, you were awesome.

We take our son to Bishops about twice a year to clean up the questionable monthly hair cuts he gets at home. Always a fun experience. The hair folks are always very talkative with him and let him explain what he wants, I think this makes him feel heard and empowered (especially since he always claims he does not want a hair cut). I love getting a beer while I wait. Nothing says good parenting like drinking a beer while you kid is across the room with a stranger waving sharp tools around their head.

Great service. They were ready for me on time. The first time at the Milwaukie location. much better than the Sellwood location, which is now closed. My stylist gave me one of the best short haircuts ever.

Great place for easy boys and mens cuts. Sometimes they do not follow clear directions (i.e. #1 on the sides with a fade or please keep it around 2 long on top) but for the most part theyre consistently good quality and listen, are not too spendy and are fast.

I was wanting to go from purple back to red i made a appointment with Rose since she cuts my hair, i love how it turned out i will definitely be going back to see her when i need it touched up

Felicia was amazing, patient, and creative with my daughters hair. It was a complicated process to figure out what she wanted and to execute the haircut. Even given the length of time it took and the challenges along the way, Felicia had a great attitude. I would recommend her to anyone!

Thank god the shop in Sellwood is still open and just changed their name to Rudy’s. The Milwaukie shop is a joke.I cried after the haircut I got at this shop.My hair is ruined. I have never in my life had my hair ruined like it is now. The shop was filthy and my “stylist” didn’t seem to know what she was doing.I can’t even get my hair fixed it’s so bad.

I came here for my transformation haircut and Becky nailed it! I made the online reservation prior and it was very easy to book. I prepared ahead of time and provided a few photos as ideas but also was open to anything short and pixie. During the process, I was able to have my long hair rubber banded and I will mail it off to be donated after. The environment inside is very welcoming and clean. No beer right now because of the pandemic but hopefully soon.Photos below are after (short) and before (long hair).

Assisted me in my quest to acquire a kickass mullet. I was helped no later than my exact appointment time and the gal who cut my hair was super friendly and nice. She also pointed out that I scheduled a long hair cut, which she thought wasnt applicable to what she gave me, and charged me for a (cheaper) short hair cut. Thank you to Becky (I think that was her name? She was nice!)

I got the cutest little elf cut today! My hairdresser was amazing. I don’t like to have that awkward small talk when getting my hair done and we instantly clicked and just gabbed the whole time. It was a lot of fun. The other two women who were working were extremely nice and helpful as well and they all teamed together to help me figure out my colour needs for the future. I highly recommend this location. This was my third time in and so far I have not had a bad experience, which I was happily surprised by, given that I always just gave whoever was available the chance. I am already stoked for my follow up cut and colour. Like, for real. Do the thing.

I always have Becky cut my hair because she listens to what I want and gets it right. The salon is easy to find and there is plenty of street parking. They also are open for evening appts.Clean and inviting. Excellent service.

They did great for back to school haircuts for both my son and my nephew going into 8th grade and 7th grade. They really respected and made them feel good and styled their hair afterwards.

Farm was my stylist. Extremely professional, helpful, friendly. My new look is fire. Knew exactly how to give me a rockin punk cut and another stylist even gave me a line design for free. I was also given styling advice and taught how to use the hair product. Best place Ive been to. Farm also gave me a bar reccomendation and when I went a chick made out with me, which I think was all thanks to my fresh cut. Thanks and I will be coming again to get ready for my friends wedding.

The Milwaukie Bishops is hit and miss. Theyll give you a great haircut and theyre often late for booked appointments. This is a problem with the way the shop is managed, not the stylists working there.

Loved my first time here today! I am never sure what to do with my hair, and it had gotten aggressively out of hand - I had an appointment with Z this morning and she knocked it out of the park. We took off probably 9 - 12 inches, she cut it with these really cute soft layers that compliment my face in a way I could never have figured out how to ask for. I was a bit nervous as I havent gotten a haircut in a couple of years and she made it seamlessly easy for me to be comfortable and I walked out looking great! Salon was clean and Covid precautions were being taken which I really respect. Thank you so much!

Farm has been cutting my hair for about 18 months now and her attention to detail is very impressive. After having multiple fails from different stylists at a number of different locations in the Portland metro area for over a decade, I almost gave up getting my haircut in Portland (which was workable because a travel a lot), but Farm is now my go to. If youre a man with challenging thick wavy hair, I cant recommend Farm highly enough. She is one of the best in the business.

Its unfortunate that this place has so much turnover. From talking and listening having an owner who micromanages and dosent take care of her employees and runs off great employees and customers. Its sad to see when so many love this place. I can say if Farm leaves I wont be coming back. This review has no reflection on the ladies working here. They are professional and great at what they do. UPDATE.. got a phone call from who I guess is the owner. I thanked her for reaching out. But I did not feel like she will actually talk to her employees and find out why they are not happy. Unfortunate.

I got a haircut from Farm today, as a new customer, and its probably the best haircut Ive gotten in a long time. She possesses incredible intuition and skills; even though I didnt bring in a picture or have a specific idea of what I wanted (just that the grown out bleached hair be removed as much as possible), she gave me a cut and style that I absolutely adore. Such a nice person with great attention to detail! Love it!

Farm is a hair GODDESS!You know times were tough, and it was my first haircut that I didn’t have to do myself! She was kind enough to say that I didn’t do that bad of a job myself. It was really refreshing to have a hairdresser go over everything she heard how I wanted my hair cut, making sure we were both on the same page. She asked my opinion at a few points in the haircut, I don’t think I have ever been so much a part of the process. She was really professional and easy going to talk to. Farm is the bee’s knees! She knows how curly hair works and communicates very clearly through the entire cutting process. The shop itself is also very clean and inviting they put on good music. I’m a little sad for the temporary loss of adult beverages but I won’t hold that against them. :)
