Cool guys and fixed amp really fast considering they were in a room literally full of amps to work on
Matt is the best!! Hes helped me restore a vintage deluxe reverb and with a kit build. Hes knowledgable and can even dial in the amp to sound the way you like by tweaking the circuit or swapping speakers/tubes. My amps are sounding great. When they need tuned up again, Ill be back for sure.
Did a great job fixing my amp! Fast, polite, knowledgeable.
If you live in Milwaukie, SE Portland, heck all of Portland and you need an amp tech, be glad that Matt Dawson is close by. Knowledgable, professional, good bench rate- he goes the extra mile and youll walk away knowin more about your own equipment let alone a better sounding amp overall. He fixed my 80s Randall tube amp that caught a cold (weird farting distortion.) Sounds amazing, better than before it broke.
Brought in a fried 50-year-old mystery amp from Japanese heyday of small manufacturers - literally not another copy of this model I could find anywhere on the internet. Matt Dawson somehow found a data sheet (but no schematic), replacement circuitry, and rebuilt the amp and reverb, including manufacturing a voltage regulator to mitigate a design flaw he discovered had fried the reverb in the first place. The amp is now fully, cleanly functioning, and considering the design flaw, maybe even better than when first built. Price was very reasonable. First class craftsman and troubleshooter who enjoys his work. 100% recommended.
Incredible work and is very nice. Also his rates are very fair. I will be returning for more amp work in the future
Cleaned up my early Fender Twin that was unplayable from a previous repair. Now it sounds fantastic. Everything works. It is now my main amp. Matt is passionate about his work especially with early tube amps. Thanks, Matt.
Matt did a great job on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. A true professional and tone artist!
Helpful and honest. Would recommend
Matthew is the man! Awesome in every respect you could hope for!
