Lucky me, that I chanced upon Michael for guitar lessons four years ago.... When I retired, I wanted to take guitar lessons (could play basic chords) but had never taken lessons and was pretty intimidated around skilled musicians.... I was so fortunate to connect with Michael who quickly put me at ease and blew me away with his finger style, acoustic blues....Exactly, what I wanted to learn...! I am now learning a variety of styles, improving gradually ... and most recently, exploring the mandolin.... Incredible fun..! Michael is a skilled musician and patient teacher who clearly enjoys his students success.......I am having a blast learning, jamming and playing with one of the best ! Whoosh....! I brought my daughter here over a year ago and she is really loving it. I was so impressed I started taking lessons from him and now Im starting to be able to play a bit. Its been great. He really has a way with children and being able to keep them interested. My daughter (who is 8) and her friend take weekly lessons. Hes been doing a good job keeping them both engaged in class and at least my daughter picks up her guitar on her own out of class to practice and play without my having to remind her that often. As an adult he is able to keep me enthused and engaged as well. He clearly loves the medium and loves teaching and his enthusiasm helps excite the students.

I recently started taking lessons from Michael, and not only is he an amazing guitarist and very knowledgeable in basically every style/genre of music you can dream up? Hes also a wonderful, kind, and patient teacher (and human being) who is able to work with you at whatever level or ability youre at and the whole time you feel completely supported, encouraged and excited as youre learning and growing.Plus, its obvious that he really loves what hes doing and how can you beat that? Michael is a patient and encouraging teacher. He designs his lessons specifically to your own musical interests and skill level. He himself is a very talented musician and his students are very lucky to have him as their teacher. He has also been very flexible with scheduling, so that I have time every week to come, regardless of if the time and day has to change.

Michael has been working with my 13 for over four years. He has recently started teaching my six year old. He does a great job with his knowledge for music that is appropriate for their age levels and all the while keeping it interesting and fun to learn.Thank you Michael for being the best!
