Its really a fun experience to shop here, because they carry random things that most home improvement stores dont. I like home improvement stores in general, though. Reasons why its better than larger chains like Home Depot or Lowes: obviously, its a smaller chain, so your money is more likely to stay local. There is a slightly higher chance of them having staff who know anything about home improvement, but still a frequent struggle, as with most stores of this type. Prices are competitive. Sales are frequent. 11% off comes as a rebate which is a minor hassle to file, but if you spend a lot in supplies, its worth your time.Possibly the best thing (recently) is that during the pandemic, they have been a lot more serious than other retail establishments about face masks. As someone who is immunocompromised, Ive been wearing a mask for a while now, but until recently could not access KN95s, so I was using less effective surgical and cloth masks. They help, but they help more if everybody wears them--and during the height of The Plague, Menards was really serious about people wearing masks. I thank them for being willing to follow and enforce public health measures even if they are unpopular (and they are pretty unpopular with some people.)It meant that I felt a lot safer about the potential of shopping there than I did at other stores where enforcement of what was, at that point, a mask mandate, was pretty lax or nonexistent.

Love this store, employees are so very helpful in finding what I need, and loving the 11percent rebate.

Nice store layout I found the item locations fairly easy but they didnt have everything I needed, but other then that great experience.

The people in the paint department were very helpful. I needed to match some stain for my homes trim and they went through the trouble of trying multiple brands and colors so we could find the perfect color. Definitely a positive experience for a chain store.

Friendly service, easy to locate items that I needed, and I was in and out and under 15 minutes. I would say that Menards is nailing it with their service and organization.

Menards are always my go-to due to their prices, wide range of products and friendly staff. This store is no different. My pro-tip, get there around 7am. Empty store and fast service.

Many landscaping trips to Mishawaka Menards and I dont post reviews. Today however, this young man needs to be recognized for his customer service and integrity. Jessie remembered my husband from a visit 2 weeks ago! He is so friendly and appears to really care for the customer. Jessie let my husband know he has been thinking about him (stage 4 cancer) and my husband didnt need to help load the bags of rock. Jessie said that is what he is here for. With our larger order he is skilled with the forklift and was gentle with the load. Thank you Menards for sending this man our way.

Be sure your boxed or wrapped purchase has not been opened or tampered with and look over larger items. I have been careless in the past and purchased items that were missing parts or damaged. Otherwise its a great store with a lot of product.

Didnt know this is where failed annoying car salesmen came to die. Everythings on sale is not the answer Im looking for when I ask if you have clearance.

Always great, prices of lumber has gone up but thats on everything. Subway sandwich has gotten smaller and less meat, but thats everywhere. Life will run its course, we will endur. Happy Holidays to all. Stay safe

I went looking for replacement machine screws, found them with some hunting. But the treasure I found was Bruce the cashier, friendly, funny and courteous.

Excellent staff, very helpful. A young lady named Ivy took me right to the item I needed rather than just point the direction. Upon returning, because I forgot something, the gentleman in electrical explained to me the difference in extension cords and even explained the chart. I shall return.

We recently bought our 1st home. Menards has had the majority of the things weve been shopping for. Their employees are FRIENDLY, knowledgeable, and always helpful. We never feel like were an inconvenience. Thank you Menards!

Im against buying Chinese tools and accessories. I had to go to Lowes to find American products. My current project was installing a 30 Amp outdoor electric service and Home Depot, Lowes, and my local Menards didnt carry it. I had to drive to Mishawaka to get a 30 Amp shoring box with a circuit breaker. Menards exchanged my 50 Amp box, from the one I bought at the Ireland road location, with little hassle.

It was pretty good masks were worn the employees are nice a respectful and help with everything i needed although some of them need to get more familiar with the layout of the store

If you worried about keeping post hole diggers in stock as much as making people wear masks it would be a 5star review..... four weeks with none in inventory literally pathetic...... Heading to Lowes.....

No matter where the Menards is that you shop, they are very consistent in pricing, cleanliness, products.

The Mishawaka North store is a pretty good store. Most of the time you can get someone to help you without too much of a weight. my biggest complaint is that there are far too many items that are on the shelves in the wrong spot. so if youre grabbing stuff off the shelf you need to check every single package you pick up to make sure its exactly what you need.

I went to pick up a custom garage door I had ordered and also picked up a couple items while I was there. Every single employee that I asked for help was fantastic. I was impressed.

Need more people to get pick orders ... Was late for a 1 oclock appointment since we had to wait on the 1 gate guard to finish checking out the 5 cars on exit side before the entrance side could enter ..then waited another 10mins to get help loading car and even I was faster than the kid loading and I have COPD and a bad back .. 😂

Chased someone I love through store for no mask-- a customer with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Chased so hard my loved one nearly tripped and injured theirself. Never even offered to bring items to the car for them instead, like the store is supposed to do in such cases. Just violently bullied--and sabatoged the health of-- their very own paying customer.#classactionlawsuit

If you know exactly when you need and where it is located in the store - great store. Associates are sometimes knowledgable, depends greatly on the project. One example - I asked an associate in decking which type of hidden fastener was better for a large span deck. His reply I dont know we dont track that stuff.

Low inventory like everywhere else

We found most of what we were looking for, although there seemed to be less variety in bedding plants than usual. Maybe due to the pandemic.

Until you drop your discriminating illegal mask mandate I wont spend a penny at your establishment. Lowes and home depot are swamped and your store doesnt have half the business it use to. Keep bowing to the China communism agenda and see what happens! Youll eventually go under.

Clean helpful easy to find what youre looking for

I will never come to this location nor any location again. To tell me that my children are fine without a mask but I cannot come into the store without a mask. I explain I have a pre-existing medical condition and cannot wear one and they tell me I still cannot come in. First of all, if I have something, my children would most likely have it too, so the intelligence in your store policy is quite boggling. I am a store manager of a fortune 500 company and know for a fact that as long as you practice social distancing, this is not an issue. So therefore, I will go buy my air conditioner, grill, and other equipment that I needed at a competitor that is willing to take my money and not discriminate against me because I have a medical condition.

I had to find things on my own. No one asked me did I need help. No signs at the beginning or end of isle to tell you what is in the shelf.

Always find what I need quickly. If not, there sre plenty of knowledgeable employees to guide you in the right direction.

Very clean, employee in the paint dept took his time and walked down several isles of paint to help us. And the check out person was friendly, quick and sanitizing behind us.

Great spot for tools and supplies. The employees are trained well and are much more helpful than those at Home Depot or Lowes. Oh yes, 11% off sale almost all year during Coronavirus.

This store seems to be run by incompetent children. They make the easiest things so complicated. Its easier to just go to home depot down the street.

Place is a joke....Paid many things with our DISCOVER DEBIT card.. Notice the word DEBIT???Went to return something...Oh it was paid with a discover credit card...No... It was a debit card...We can give you a store credit.. Or out it back on your card...Nope... It was a discover debit...Argued with them till I was red in my face....Showed my card.... DISCOVER DEBIT... They didnt care and very rude... Both Mishawaka and South Bend stores

He asked if we needed any help and I almost blew him off, but then I remembered the multiple times he, in particular, has helped me. Hes been employed there for a while now, everytime Ive gone to him hes been incredibly helpful. Im glad my Menards has people like Tom. I appreciate his expertise.

I understand that Menards wants to protect their employees and guest. However making every customer wear face coverings is a little much. The CDC guidelines change on a daily basis therefor enforcing guidelines that could potentially be determined detrimental to ones health is asinine. They have already determined that wearing them increase your own chances for upper respiratory infection therefore this should be your choice not theirs.
