I had a wonderful experience today!! The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. I enjoyed the tele-med experience I felt safe and it was just as good as if they were in the room with me, probably even safer. They worked hard to get my insurance pulled up and explained all my benefits as well. Great job to all the staff best experience with getting glasses!! Got my glasses the same day too!!!!

Highly recommend! Staff was simply amazing. From the moment we walked in my daughter and I were met with smiles and professionalism. My daughters lenses couldnt be made on sight so they had them shipped directly to us. We went on Friday and I just got the email today (Monday) that they are on their way! Will definitely be my families new go to for our eyes!

Went in to go get my eyes checked because it’s been awhile people do not go to this place whatsoever one they are rude They don’t except all insurances. If they can’t help you they send you to places that don’t even do I exams. So people I advise you stay away from Stanton optical they tend to mess up peoples prescriptions they don’t take on Sharon says they are not people persons do not do well with people so I advise you please find another optician somewhere else

Says they offer a money back guarantee, 30 day satisfaction guaranteed, etc. That was a lie. The lady I talked to at the front desk was disgustingly condescending. I knew I was going to have a bad experience when I saw the way she talked down to the other employees and then had the fakest customer service voice and smile after she told me they wouldnt give a refund after having the glasses for less than 2 days. They gave me 2 pair of glasses that just give me a headache to look through and arent much clearer than my natural eyesight. Go somewhere else. This was a waste of money

Stay away from this place! I Was a customer there for over 6 years and constantly had issues. Sometimes it would be the staff being very rude to not only me but other customers. I’ve waited in a empty reception room for 45 mins just to pick up contacts. And most recently I kept getting emails about orders being made there when I didn’t make them so I called to ask about it. I was told they don’t know and was hung up on. So yeah run as fast as you can away from here.

Came here for years. Let me explain. My insurance is awesome. Upon picking my frames ect, my bill was about $150. After I had to get the women working there to correct the charges. Still was confused. My co-worker total with his 2 children came out to $40!!! I went elsewhere this year and I was getting ripped off there to sat it bluntly. Dont do it.Update: raybans covered, transitional lines covered! Myeyedoctor in South bend is so awesome!Look at how much my insurance pays.And I even got a year of no matter what happens insurance on my Ray-bans its covered for $25.

Ive been with Stanton for a couple years now and I have always been pleased with customer service both in store and over the phone, however, this last time I was there for my yearly eye exam I had to sit and wait in store for almost 3 hours before being seen by the optometrist. Normally in a situation like this I would never come back to Stanton. I am understanding of the fact that due to covid there are new guidelines and regulations they must abide. Having said that I cant hold too much of that against them. My only scruple is the fact that when I called and made my appointment they failed to inform me that when I went into the exam room I would be having my exam with my optometrist over a video chat style set up. I was not aware of this and it makes everything take so much longer and more of a hassle. All I was told is that I would need to wear a mask in the store. Which has become common knowledge at about 90% of any public businesss we go to anymore. But never was I informed that my 3:50 p.m. appointment could potentially take a couple hours longer than one might expect. 4 stars from me because the employees themselves were very courteous and were doing the best they could in their current situation. With more open communication when making appointments I would of given 5 stars.

We had a very decent experience however that was not the problem. When we were waiting on our exam a father and his children needed to be seen and he asked if they had a translator present because he had previously came in and they told him yes so when he asked for one the lady rudely told him β€œno one here speaks Spanish and we will not have anyone here to speak for you.” When he told her he had been told that someone told him they did have one she continued to tell him there’s nothing that she will do to accommodate his needs. This is not only unprofessional but as well as humiliating for that man and his children who just needed medical assistance. She is a nurse here and her name is Stephanie. I will be in further contact.

I had a bad scratch on my lense, so I came in, got a quick eye exam and was told my glasses would be ready by end of day - GREAT! I then got a call saying they would take 10-14 days. What? No! I called to say never mind I will come get them with old lenses (I was driving to Chicago that night and I really need them to drive at night)...spoke to Manager Ben and he got it done for me! Also - went back today to have another pair loosened up and he handled it right then. My advice? Deal with Ben! :)

I made an appointment to get glasses today. I was nicely greeted by a women at the door who inquired about my needs, I told her I just needed glasses, I already had my prescription and needed to look at frames. She gave me a tray and very briefly explained their frame selection policies. I selected 2 cheaper frames $15.00 and $25.00, hoping to get a good price, not expecting the ADVERTISED 2 pairs of progressive for $99, but a couple hundred . I wait my turn and then I sit at a male employees desk, while he asks me if I want my glasses to be of a lighter material and what range for my progressive lenses, for maybe 5 minutes at the most, then he shows me his quote $515 and $25 for the free pair!! I ask him about the large sign advertising the 2 for $99, And he said I would need to pick 2 of the $15 frames(of which there is only about 5 to choose from) and have standard progressive lenses . I told him that I would probably have to do that because my dog had chewed my glasses before and I didnt want anything that expensive. He told me I should have told them that when I came in the store so that I didnt waste their time. That is the rudest thing ever said to my by an employee of a business!! Whom would I have told this to, I only spoke to the woman when I entered for about 30 seconds. Im sorry I wasted 5 minutes of your time, but you dont have to worry about that ever happening again, because I wont step another foot into your establishment, and I will be sure to tell everyone who will listen, how rudely I was treated.

My wife, a prior Stanton customer, visited the store today. She understands we are in the middle of a pandemic and enquired from a young lady, the first person she met, if it was OK to remove her mask to try on sample frames. She was told that would be acceptable if she was distanced from other customers. As she was looking near the rear of store, considerably distant from anyone else, she removed one ear and let her mask hang from the other while she tried the pair on. She was immediately reprimanded by a man who, rather rudely, told her to put her mask on. When she explained to him what she had been told, he said β€œ I heard that conversation and that’s not what was said”, essentially calling her a liar. She had the impression he might have been the manager. She did not reply and left the store immediately. I get it. My wife will find glasses elsewhere and Stanton will still be in business. But if this had been my store, and I once owned one, I would be appalled that one of my employees would have acted this way, even if he had been right. Which in this case, he wasn’t. Stories get around. It would appear that Stanton needs a refresher course on customer service and common courtesy.

The staff is nice but my eye appointment was with a digital Dr. It was so impersonal and weird I felt rushed through and no one talked to me about my eye appointment. They should have told me it was this way when I made my appointment but failed to tell me and give me the option to have a appointment this way. Very disappointed by this! Good thorough eye exam. Very small selection of frames at the 2 for $59 deal. Nice people. Quick (1/2 hour) in house made glasses if you get single vision with frames in stock. A couple weeks for special coatings or bifocals. Contact exams also available at additional price. Reservations or walk in. Limited hours for covid.Dont forget to like reviews and pictures you like. My first time here was a tremendous experience I will never forget! When you walk through the doors, the staff here at Stanton Optical meant what they say: We are here to meet all your needs! They do! Stephanie, Bill, and Robert, are fierce and very friendly with what they do with their patients, made sure my eyes were in order, had beautiful frames of glasses, and you get them THE SAME DAY, rather than wait 2 or 3 days to get them. I will make this short and sweet I work in retail, so I give people the benefit of the doubt on a lot of stuff, But when you were just trying to find out information and have questions, and they just keep telling you just need to come in, and we will figure the insurance out when you show up.. I have my member I.D. For insurance and everything they need, sorry not going to take a day off from work to show up and find out that my insurance won’t cover it. One girl I talked to said my insurance they except, but my insurance company told me they could not find them in the system in network, called back to give them my member I.D. And the next girl said I just need to show up, there is nothing we can do over the phone, poor customer service.

I set an appointment for my son and got a call back saying I needed to reschedule due to and error in the system. Because of this, lady on the phone offered 20% off. Rescheduled and went on day of new appointment. Waited longer than expected cause they had issues with their computer system again. The lady helping re-stated about the 20% off.After the exam and choices of glasses/lense, the receipt was printed. I asked about the 20% and the lady helping said it is on the receipt. I didnt see it on the receipt. I inquired about the 20% discount again when I went to pick up the glasses. The new lady helping says there is no 20% discount written on the receipt.I would have been fine without the 20% discount, but they made a promise and did not follow through.Weve been going there every year past few years. Good thing my wife and I havent done our annual eye exam and glasses this year. Well try another optical place and see how it goes.

The staff was friendly. It wasnt a bad experience until I was given the price. It was well over $400. I was quoted a price of $135 over the phone prior to my appointment for 2 pairs of glasses. I told the representative on the phone I wanted progressive lenses, anti-glare, and scratch resistance. After complaining a great deal, I ended up getting only one pair, no anti-glare for $150.

I highly do not recommend getting your glasses from Stanton Optical. The first time I got my glasses, I noticed there was a gap between the lense and the frame, and they were the wrong color. I brought this up to technian, and he said it was supposed to be there for safety. If it was supposed to be there, why wasnt it on the other side? The manager later came out and looked at them, and said it was a manufacturer error and they would order me a new pair. Well, my THIRD trip down there(I live an hour away), I went to pick up the glasses, and the told me I had to bring my frames. First, the frames were the wrong color, and youre telling me I have to bring them back to get the new lenses put in there? Even the service I got was beyond poor. Unless you want to have a messed up expiernce, DO NOT GO HERE.

I should have know not to come in for the eye exam when they called the morning of the appointment and said they had made a mistake in the schedulingand had to reschedule. I had explained that my daughter had lost her glasses and that we were driving an hour and a half because they offered 1 hour glasses. When we got there the man that checked us in was a rude little man after waiting 15 mins to explain we were there for an appointment and I asked about the 1 hour glasses they informed us that they didnt offer that on the weekends! I should have left but then proceeded to wait an hour plus more for the exam. Then it continues to go down hill. Dont waste your time is basically what Im saying!

My script for my lenses wasnt correct and I asked for a refund, she told me no and that I had to pay for another eye exam. Um, no. Im not paying for another exam when the first one wasnt right to begin with. She PROMISED to call me back the next day and, of course, didnt. I got my refund from another associate who was much nicer. Please go somewhere else. This place isnt worth the hassle of trying to get a decent pair of glasses. Forget calling the store either. I went in for the 2 for $59 with a free eye exam deal. When I first arrived, there were people waiting saying that the person doing the pretexts was rude, then in my first interaction with her she was slightly aggravated and aggressive, but I quickly realized she was running the show back there by herself and the clients were very very rude to her, so I do not fault her for not faking a smile for rude people. I did schedule an appointment, but I actually had to wait for about an hour after my appointment time to be seen, and then the eye doctors were virtual, but I believe my test was thorough and accurate. Then I went onto the sales floor and the representative was very nice and helpful and I picked out two pairs of glasses I really liked that both fit into the deal I came in for. Essentially, I got what I came for, just took a little longer than I was wanting. The lost star is for the wait and the rude call center that I had to deal with.

Cannot give zero stars or i would have. Appointment was scheduled for contact exam at 13:30. Waited for over an hour past appointment to be started as doctor was at lunch. Overall, spent over 3+ hours for exam and to order contacts. Was told 10-14 days for order, and then wait time to ship to me as I live out of town. 23 days later, still no contacts. Not even to the store. Have called repeatedly with nobody knowing the status of my order. Receive email after day 19 that order is now DELAYED. Called again, got some mouthy girl at the store who hangs up on me when I told her to stop talking over me while I was attempting to ask a question. No management available conveniently. Blaming delay on covid. But did not mention it while I was in the store 23 days ago. Done dealing with the HORRIBLE service here. Literally drove 2.5 hours to keep same eye doctor. Not any longer. Worst experience with an optometrist is 35 years. Taking all my family business elsewhere.

I have no idea how this business is so highly rated. The doctor was great. The staff seemed great until i went back to pick up glasses and contacts at which point they told me the contacts were not in, and to come back after the promise date. I call a week after promise date and they tell me that my contacts were picked up the same day as my glasses. Uhhh. No, they definitely were not. Someone screwed up and told me they did not have my lenses when they did. I finally picked them up over a month after my initial exam. They quoted me a week. I will never return. Do yourself a favor and find anywhere else.

Staffing structure definitely a broken system. There is never a receptionist. I never even received notification that my glasses arrived. Always a 30-60 minute wait to simply inquire on or pick up order. Approximately 2 months to receive glasses. You definitely get what you pay for!

The sales manager was nice & respectful. However, I went in for the 2 for 59.95 & there were only about 12 frames or less to choose from. America’s best has a whole selection! So I looked at the buy one get one free. My frames were 49$ & my lenses would cost 128$. I’m not spending nearly 200$ on one pair of glasses when I could’ve gotten contact lenses for that price. I had to pay for my eye exam even though I left with no glasses. If I was more informed I wouldn’t have went here.

The doctor and staff did a great job and were friendly. I’m upset that I spent over $200 something on exam and contacts but they would not give me my pupillary distance unless I ordered glasses. These are hard times and as a single mom I need to shop around to find the best deal I can. That’s bad business and also I believe it’s against federal regulations to not give me the pupillary distance after paying for an exam. Shame on the corporate greed. I will not recommend or be back.

I was disappointed that they no longer took tricare, but that wasnt a huge deal since the last time I was here they were very professional and friendly. Spoiler Alert: Theyre still professional and friendly.I would also like to add, as someone with degrees in Biology/Public Health and has worked in Public Health/Safety for almost twenty years, their sanitation/cleanliness is excellent. They were even refusing people at the door who were not wearing masks.10/10 would wait an hour again.

I am a smart consumer who always shops around. When I went to check out Stanton Optical, the staff was warm and friendly. I was greeted immediately and given personal attention. They answered all my questions in detail. I normally feel like most people in the sales industry dont care about me and are just out for my money. This was not the case at Stanton. While I wasnt ready to make a purchase at the time, I am definitely returning to Stanton when I am. The price I was quoted was better than the other 4 places I looked into but what really won my business was the outstanding customer service from all of the staff.

Extremely Low Quality Glasses - They literally fell apart. The anti glare wore off in less than a year and left huge splotches everywhere. The so called free pair that were never even used had all the coatings bubble up and became completely useless. These were not cheap glasses either. I paid over $200 for them. I would never recommend them especially if your insurance only pair for one pair every two years because their product doesnt last.

Very misleading. I have them a try since their nearby competitor wouldn’t let my daughter in with a mask due to covid. So I then I went here and Wasted 1.5 hours trying on glasses at Stanton. To me buy one get one means just that and the price on the glasses assuming I didn’t need bifocals. (I was initially told glasses and frames) by the end of the test and consultation it was only buy one get one free β€œframes”. Per my calculations I was going to spend $100 to them it was $350. So after she said, he said disagreement- in order to avoid a exam fee I went for the bottom of the line and got 2/$59 to get out of there. This is a deal but there were less than 10 pairs for women to select at this price so not at all what I β€œwanted” and they were out of stock in store and online for several of those. All others are buy one get one β€œframe” NOT LENSES. Not explained well and I was told lens and frames initially. Won’t be back. Updating again, ordered a pair of glasses since ones I ordered weren’t the color as advertised in store, waited three weeks to come pick up and be told they won’t have them since they probably aren’t in stock. Waste of my time and money.

Im terrified of eye doctors. They could see how nervous I was and the eye doctor actually gave me a little pep talk. Best eye exam I have had. Went to start looking for frames and a lady came up and introduced herself as Stephanie. I said, Oh, youre the Stephanie everyone raves about in the reviews. And now I see why. She was honest about how the frames looked on me. Was able to get my glasses that day. Little did I know, this whole time, my boyfriend was scheming with everyone in there. Tried my glasses on, and they were making sure I could read and see around, when the guy had me turn around to find my boyfriend on one knee. Yup, I got engaged at Stanton Optical (so I could see what I was getting myself into, ya get it?). Thanks guys, for helping with everything. I dont plan on ever going anywhere else.

The appointment was easy to book online and I didn’t have to wait when I got here. The doctor saw me right away. Then Stephanie A. helped me with the rest. She ran my insurance and got me the best deal. She looked for any promotion she could get me. Stephanie was amazing and super friendly. I normally struggle to even find one pair of glasses that I like with my face shape, but I loved their selection. The whole process took less than an hour and that includes me walking out with 3 new pairs of glasses. Highly recommend.

I had to come back several times because my prescription had changed significantly. I worked with multiple staff members, had to have my eyes rechecked, just happened to show up on days that they were extremely busy AND I was a walk in every time. Through it all, everyone on staff was incredibly knowledgeable, extremely patient and very respectful. I really gave them a hassle (not on purpose) but they handled it with grace and some of the best customer service I have experienced in a while. Thank you! I am seeing much better now!

Where to start??1. Neglected to tell me their same day glasses was not currently happening due to COVID--until after I had an eye exam, picked out frames and sat down to order.2. Sent me home with the INCORRECT glasses (during COVID) after Im telling the-- Manager-- they are not the frames I picked out, the name is spelt incorrectly on the box. I was reassured and Promised she would not let me go home with someone elses glasses. Despite it being two black pairs of frames she handed me when I stated I ordered one that is BABY PINK.3. Never asked any Personal Identifiers to help correct the issue as Im saying something is wrong. Never a date of birth, date of service, address, phone number. And when I stated the name was spelt incorrectly I was in return told: they just spelt it wrong.4. Upon checking my information, the date of service was wrong, prescription was wrong on the boxes of glasses they sent me home with.5. Drive down to the store (about an hour away) and was told.. Oh weve been looking for these by an associate.6. Manager saw me walk in, talked about the situation behind my back and never apologized for the mistake they had made.7. Day one of wearing one pair-- a piece of glass flaked off while cleaning into my hand.8. Of course, you can NEVER reach anyone at the store.9. Three weeks later, Ive been told, I can have a refund, they have to check with corporate, they took the glasses back I would get a call on Monday resolving the issue...its now Wednesday and Im now being told they cant do a refund on the BOGO glasses. - Remind you, the glasses the store has in their posession.I will NEVER reccomend this store, it has been nothing but a headache.

We had a horrible experience. The woman who assisted us with choosing frames was extremely rude. My sons frames were broken and still under warranty, the frame is no longer available so they would not honor the warranty or offer another solution. He had an eye exam, which I was told would be free if we purchased new glasses. It was not. The woman still assisting us laughed and said, thats how we get you. The cost for new glasses was higher than she stated when I was paying, she used the cost for a different lense when quoting a price than what was being purchased. The woman assisting us was extremely rude. I wish I wouldve just paid for the eye exam and purchased glasses elsewhere. This was the worst customer service Ive ever experienced from an eye doctors office.

After using a different optician closer to my home for years, I initially went to Stanton Optical because of their advertised special pricing and free eye exam. I was very pleased with the quality of the eye exam and the excellent help I received from the staff member who helped me choose my glasses.I will mention that I did not receive my exam for free. I was told prior to the exam that I had to choose glasses that day to receive the exam for free. I was overwhelmed with the choices and unable to decide on frames that same day. I paid for the exam and returned a week later to decide on frames.It would be a nice gesture to apply the price of the exam to the frames if a customer returns within 30 days. Regardless of this, I was very happy and will make Stanton Optical my first choice when I need new glasses

I can totally understand why you wouldnt want to email a prescription to me. But when your customer service says you will and then you refuse at the store thats a huge disconnect. You said it was because your email was encrypted and when I asked you what that meant you didnt know.Second, 1-800-CONTACTS called them and the rep/manager Stephanie said that it was expired, which was relayed back to me by 1800contacts. But it was not expired and they eventually called back and got someone that wasnt completely awful to fax the prescription to them. Whether they actually did that or not, I am not sure as of this comment.The people work on commission so it makes sense why they dont want you to go elsewhere because it takes away from their pay check. However, there is something said to someone who treats their customers the right way, because now I will never come back.

My son had to get glasses and his first pair only lasted him about 4-5 months. Yes I understand that kids can be rough with glasses. However these felt extremely cheap. When I took them in to get repaired they said they no longer had his frame. So I had to purchase a new frame. His new glass we had to purchase were scratched up. They tried to hide the scratches with sharpie!!! Are you kidding me! Sharpie, I wont be going back to Stanton ever! They want to charge you a lot of money and give you junk in return. Save your money and go to Target Optical, they are very good and better quality frames!

Went for an eye exam and the doctor was very nice and helpful and answered all my questions. Heather them helped me with my glasses order and lenses and she was very understanding and helped us out with finding a promoting for the lenses I needed and saved us a ton of money. Because of her I was able to get the thinnest lenses with special features that would help with my new truck driving career. She also made me feel really good about wearing glasses. Ive always hated wearing glasses because me the thickness me the lenses but She made me feel like a star with her compliments. I couldnt thank her enough and I will definitely return .Great customer service and they even fixed the glasses I have now. Tammy was very understanding on the tape holding my glasses together. Thanks to everyone there for making my visit smooth and amazing. Wish I could give more then 5 stars.

Great friendly service. Was very fast paced the whole way through, they did not keep me waiting for long periods. I would have given 5 stars but they get you with underlying costs. They do not make it very clear that the sale price is only for frames and exam and does not include the price of lenses, those start at $227... So when I expected to pay $89 (the cost on the frames)and got slapped with $316 final bill due to lens costs. Beware! Otherwise I am happy with my experience.

All gimmicks. Read the fine print. 2 pairs for 60 doesnt include lenses and I couldnt find a pair in the entire store for 60. Ended up spending 240 on 2 pairs which isnt horrible but i really would have rather gone elsewhere and bought 1 pair plus the exam for 140. (It is buy one get one free at Stanton for the savings, so you are forced to get two.) Plus they are really pushy about premium lenses which would have been 100s more. I had to argue with them to choose regular lenses. Saturday appointments are helpful though.
