Wow, what a refreshing experience. This place is clean, organized, and professional, but what stood out the most to me was Tonys knowledge. Dude knows his stuff, and his price ended up half of the quote I was given by another shop. Id ask to speak to Tony personally if hes not too busy (I did and it was worth it), especially if youre like me and not exactly a car expert and need stiff explained simply. Anyway, just wanted to write this review to thank you guys over there again. Great experience.

He will give me an honest assessment of work that shouldnt be postponed, and work that can wait and approximately how long (e.g. you probably have another 2,000 miles on those brake pads). The rest of the staff are also friendly and helpful.At mechanics I went to before Tonys, I usually felt as if they were fishing for something to repair or replace. Not so at Tonys. They dont advertise and rely on word of mouth to earn business. Im happy to recommend Tonys Automotive to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

CONMEN AND THIEVES:I should have vetted them but they were recommended by AAA.All I needed was a simply smog certification and when I asked pointed questions to the main technician (Mark), he couldn’t handle it and had me and my car removed from the shop! How unprofessional and childish.I knew things were fishy the first day I brought my car in but the second day solidified it.I brought my car in on Friday and there was NOT a “check engine light on” nor any “chew marks” on ANY hoses but after “inspection”, all of a sudden there are cuts all over a hose? All this air is coming out now. What?! I really thought of calling him out and even taking it a step further.He said they would have to order a part for $25.00 and no labor costs and we would be done. Oh, and it won’t arrive until Monday and I can bring it in that morning.Monday comes and they say “ oh no” you can’t bring it in the morning we are booked until 2pm. Funny, 2pm is not morning. So I may have asked too much so I made an appointment for Tuesday at 11am. I come 15 minutes early at 10:45am. They bring my car in.This was the final straw, they take it back and Mark says, “oh wow, this is a bigger hole than I thought.” First, really? I feel like you made that hole. Then, you say it’s something bigger than you thought when YOU are the one who saw it just a few days ago? And it hasn’t been driven at all!Then, he says they will have to install the part and drive it for a FEW DAYS before it can clear?! Wait what?! Oh, and he said the cost for the part is now $35. I asked him, “why did you tell me $25? And now you are trying to charge me $35? (He says, “i never said $25!”) Why did you tell me it would be fixed the day I come back? And then you say it will take a few days? Why am I staying here so long? What’s going on?” Before I finished more of my questions, he told his secretary to refund my money and take my car out. He didn’t want any part of it.This is the face of a man who doesn’t like pointed questions or being held accountable for his words.I really feel this is a man who damaged my car and got caught in the act and couldn’t stand it when I called him on it. It is evident in the fact that he couldn’t answer my questions or remember what he quoted me on price. At least tell me this will take a few days from the beginning instead of dragging me along. I really don’t appreciate that. It’s deceitful. I want no part of that.

My mechanic rocks! Mark and his wife are wonderful! The service is great! The y have always been willing and able to accomodate my timelines and service needs! I trust everthing he says and appreciate that he always presents immediate needs with pricing information and then recommends additional or longer-term needs allowing me the foresight for budgeting!
