Ive been going here for 10+ years for my auto service needs. Greg is awesome. He knows cars well, is very quick to identity root cause of any problems, and gets the repair done quickly. I usually call him before bringing my car down to make sure he has time. He always gets me in without a wait, charges fair rates and never pushes for unneeded repairs (definition of honest mechanic). Another cool perk is that you can drop your car off or pick it up after hours via key dropoff with the gas station cashier.

One time I tried to buy propane here, when I used my credit card the Cashier asked me for my credit Account number. Before I could, the woman standing behind me stopped me (fortunately) and told me they did the same thing too her 6 months ago, after which she found her account hacked and identity theft (being used in Mexico). Earlier today I came in to get some air for my tire. The machine said 1.25, When I asked for change the cashier (same guy) said it was now 4.25 and it was a new automatic air pump. So i gave him my five (didnt give me change), went outside, and couldnt find it. Asked an mechanic, and let me use his for free, so I didnt even need to pay in the first place. How can the owner allow this Man to Keep his job, how is this man not in Jail? NEVER EVER COMING BACK!!!

Greg and his team of mechanics are one of Southern Orange County best hidden gem in Auto mechanics. I had an emergency repair needed on my Ford explorer, and they took care of it without a problem on the SAME DAY! with reasonable and affordable price. So then I took my wifes Mitsubishi Lancer for a long over due maintenance and an AC compressor replacement and once again they took care of it right away with reasonable and affordable price. Now the air conditioning is ICE COLD during summer time 😊. I never found an Auto Shop that I am happy with and will be continue to doing business with them. I have a third car that I will definitely bring in as soon as I am ready. Thank you Greg, you and your team are awesome!

Took my 2007 Jeep Commander there to fix what I thought was going to be a couple really expensive repairs (master cylinder and engine issue). Greg took care of me and fixed everything for about 1/3 what I was expecting. He got everything done in a day and did an awesome job!! I would highly recommend him. Hes fair, honest and fast, what else could you ask for in a shop.

The guy here is rude AF! I’m always came hereFor gas, but this last time when I get propane the guy it was super rude I don’t know why. Never again I prefer drive more

Friendly, hard working attendants that provide attentive automotive related services as needed and inquired. Site itself is respectably maintained. Customers may access well maintained restroom facilities on the fly.

AAA sent me to this Guy Greg there at Chevron gas station to fix my Jeep Grand Cherokee & B.M.W . His team put rebuilt engine in my Jeep & broke air conditioning in both my cars + damage my radiator. Guy is so nice 👍 go there & his team will Fix up your car really nice & F up, something else on it to. Recommend you go somewhere else 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👀👀👀👀👎👎👎👎👎👎

Ive been dealing with Greg at Portola Chevron for 16 years now. I only go to Chevron for my automotive services and repairs. Fair prices and fast service. I have never been disappointed with the service. I have had all types of repairs done ranging from major repairs to brake work. They also have very competitive prices on tires.

My family and extended family use Greg as our mechanic. Hes honest, reliable and gives you a really good price. He helped my sister fix her wheel/alignment and it was so messed up another mechanic couldnt fix it.

Greg at Portola Chevron has been our family mechanic for over 12 years. My husband and both my sons only go to Greg at Chevron for our vehicle services and repairs. He has always been honest and fair with costs and he has given excellent service to us. We have always been very pleased with the service and that is why we have counted on Greg for 12 years and counting. Propane only available 6 am to 6 pm. Really frustrating.

The auto repair shop is the first place I would go if I have car trouble again. Greg was incredibly honest, solved my problem and saved me money.

Francisco, assuming the name he gave was real, was extremely rude to my girlfriend and myself.My gf lost her charger cable so we came in to pick one up later at night. I decided to grab a soda and she went and asked for a charger cable out of the display. He had been on his phone texting when we walked in, and while I walked to the back of the store to grab soda and came back to the front he continued to text. After standing there close to another full minute he finally finished his message and came to the register.At that point I decided to go elsewhere for what we needed. I asked him when his manager worked and his response was silence while he proceeded to eject some receipt paper from the register. He started writing something on it then stopped and asked Do you really care? And I responded with Yes I care, you were rude as hell he then continued writing and handed me the piece of paper with what appeared to be he doesnt care scribbled on it. I asked what it said and he said I dont know.At this point I asked his name and snapped a photo of him standing there arms crossed glaring at me and the paper he had scribbled on with my phone. He then got extremely angry and told me I was violating his privacy and that I needed to leave, which I did, happily.Needless to say I will not be returning to this location.

Im very sad and disappointed after my dealings with Greg at portola chevron. I would recommend extreme caution before taking your vehicle in. I was told by Greg to bring my car in at 7am and was quoted a price by Greg for the work on my car. No work was done (Greg wasnt even there today) and 4 hours later not only was nothing done, but the price had also drastically increased.No communication had taken place between the employees and I felt the process was extremely sketchy. I will never take my car there again and would not recommend anyone else bring their car there for service unless you prefer unprofessional, sketchy business practice.

I had nothing but great service here; I get my questions answered, I got my engine rebuilt to almost brand new under 1,800 dollars, Ive gotten new wheels and alinments done, free oil change at times and Chevrons sevice per hour is cheaper than pep boys and most other chains. They show you whats up, and its up to you if you want it fixed or not. Ive havent had one bad day here.
