They know their stuff!! They will diagnose whatever problems you have and work with you to get it done.They knew I was in a tight spot and worked me into the schedule to get me on my way.They will help out with any warranty that you still have and be sure to only charge you with what you actually need.Great place and awesome people!!

I bought a Cub Cadet for a friend a little over a year ago--with a TWO YEAR warranty. It broke down six weeks ago. Their shop picked it up and said it would be AT LEAST two months or MORE before they would even take a look at it!! Hey!! Its the middle of summer in Mobile, AL!!Bottom line--DO NOT buy a mower from these people--I am sorry as hell I did!!FIX THAT MOWER!!!

Absolutely the best establishment ever! When I walk in they know me by name and always have my parts in. Jackie is the best service manager ever and is a kind person. Absolutely no problem whatsoever with Alston Brothers.

Dropped my riding lawnmower off on Sept. 11th for repair. 10 weeks after dropping it off they finally tell me its ready for pickup. They tell me I owe $87 for part of the repair that wasnt covered under warranty. No problem. I tell them to take it out of the $85 security deposit I paid during drop off thats supposed to be returned to me. Jackie & Molly (employees) both fabricate some story that I never paid a deposit bc they supposedly waived it for me. After letting them dig their hole deeper, I show them the receipt where I paid the deposit. Then they try to make a bunch of excuses as to why they tried to keep my money. I have it all on tape.

The only equipment and parts location that knows me by. Mr. Angie, Mr. Eric, and they’re wonderful staff are so nice. It’s like spending time with good friends! I recommend Alston Brothers to anyone needing mowers and lawn equipment. They will take good care of you!

Staff was friendly and courteous but service was terrible. Had a hustler that was only two years old and the deck broke at the weld seams. They initially told me it would be under warranty. 8 weeks later they claimed it wasn’t. Charged me $700 for a deck they refabricated. Because they leave all the mowers they work on outside water got into the carburetor. They charged me $200 more for their negligence. They tried to tell me it was my fault but I drove it in just fine with no problems. Also mildew on the seat from the weather. Really disappointed in the product and the service. Don’t believe the warranty info they tell you. I sold this mower and now happy with my Gravely. Would not recommend Hustler or Alston Brothers

Gave them a 1 Star rating because I could not figure it how to give less. Took my M60 Cub Cadet mower to them because it was running rough. That was on a Thursday. They said I had a head gasket leak. Told them on Friday to go ahead and change the oil, sharpen or replace the blades, do a grease job. I had already changed the spark plugs and cartridge air filters. On Monday around noon, I checked on the progress. They indicated that when attempting to run the mower in the shop, it shot a trail of oil halfway across the shop floor. Did I want to just leave the mower, check out the new Spartan mowers, or possibly replace the engine on my mower. Just picked up the mower Monday afternoon before closing time. Paid 1 1/4hrs of diagnostic service fee at $85.00hr when all was said and done. And no work was preformed on the mower at all !!*Now it really gets interesting. Picked up replacement head gaskets from Wilson/Dismukes and took the mower to a retired mechanic friend of mine to see it we could fix the thing. We drained almost 2qts if motor oil out of the engine, without seeing gas in the oil. Further checking indicated that no head gaskets had failed or blown.(No oil on spark plugs) We changed the oil and oil filter, spark plugs, and proceeded to crank it up. Took it home, greased all fittings, changed the blades purchased from Wilson/Dismukes, returned the unused HEADGASKETS. Got home, cut approximately 1.5 acres of grass without a problem.So now I figure that they made a big mistake in their 1 1/4hrs of diagnostics or you can come to another conclusion about what was going on. Maybe in a few years I might need another mower. Check out the mowers at WILSON/DISMUKES. The GRAVELYS look good.

My mower new cub cadet LTX 1050 purchased one month ago. Theidle pulley and belts were damaged. Mr. Leon who is the Asst Manager at Tractor Supply arranged for my mower to be taken to Alston Brothers for warranty work. After about 3 days with Jackie hard work Cub Cadet agreed to repair my mower. I have never had any issues contacting them or Mr. Leon at tractor supply. They have all been very helpful and courteous to me. I have read where people had issues contacting the service dept. I never had a issue contacting them they were courteous and knowledgeable.I will take my mower back for servicing as I need it. Again thank to everyone and a special thanks to Mrs. Jackie and Mr. Leon

I took my Kubota zero turn diesel mower there last week for repair. The staff was courteous, informative and they had my mower repaired in 24 hours. I went back for some odd parts the following day and they had to be ordered, but still and the next day. I was informed by the sales girl that it was under new management and will certainly recommend them.

If you are looking for any type of lawn equipment or service, look no further than Alston Brothers Lawn and Tractor. Angie Alston is probably the most helpful business owner that takes care of her customers needs. If you want to know anything about any of the equipment they sell, Angie is the person to ask. All the guys up front in parts and sales, Justin, John and Eric are very courteous and knowledgeable when you have questions regarding equipment or parts. They refer to you by name when you come in for service or parts. Jackie in service is a vital part of this team as well. Anytime you drop off a piece of equipment for service she takes her time and listens to what you have to say about what is wrong with your piece of equipment. They have some really great mechanics, my buddy Brandon knows a lot about each piece of equipment and how to diagnose the problems and get them fixed I a timely manner. I own a landscaping and lawn care business in Mobile and would not purchase or take any equipment anywhere but Alston Brothers. Angie has put together a great team from Nikki and Ms Dixie in financing to the guys in parts and service to the mechanics in the back. I have sent a ton of business to Alston Brothers and all my friends that purchased residential or commercial said that they feel they were treated the same way I was. Angie and her team strive to provide EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE each and every time. Now understand this: SOMETIMES THINGS ARE OUR FAULT IF IT BREAKS!!!!!! So don’t get mad and upset with them if YOU are at fault for your equipments failure. They are there to help fix the problem and help educate you on what NOT TO DO to your equipment. Ok, sorry for that rant, but treat these guys and girls with respect and they will truly take care of you in every way they possibly can. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years and will continue to be a customer because of the way I get treated when I go there. So do yourself a HUGE FAVOR AND GO SEE ALSTON BROTHERS FOR YOUR LAWN EQUIPMENT PIRCHASES!!!!! Thanks Angie Alston and TEAM for the great experience you provide on a daily basis.

Horrible Service. made repairs to my mower without talking to me first. Forced me to pay $400 to repair a 15 year old lawn mower that is not even worth that much money. 2 weeks later the lawn mower doesnt work anymore. Will never go back I would rather cut my grass with scissors.

Since they bought the Hustler Dealership from Southern Pride, I havent been able to talk to the parts department yet. Every time I call its the same thing: Theyre backed up right now. Can I have them call you? Still waiting on return phone call. Very unprofessional.
