I like their selection for the most part. Unfortunately, every single time I go to Belk, I get stuck in a line that moves at a snails pace. On those occasions where I don’t give up and walk out, and I finally get to the register, the customer service agent is invariably rude and makes the most awkward commentary. I remember thinking on more than a few occasions, why are they so bad? Are they trained to take as long as possible with every single customer? They never acknowledge anyone in line or say that it’s going to be a minute. Sometimes they won’t even make eye contact. They all seem miserable and it makes me miserable. I wish that the managers could pull it together because I value the store sales and inventory. I just loathe going in there.

Only go into this store when I am absolutely forced too, as in no other option for something Im looking for. Just has this snotty in the air attitude always has had it 🙄 just such a uneasy feeling environment

I was coming home from vacation so decided to stop by looking for a birthday dress. Unfortunately didnt see anything but I did buy some shoes on sale at great price. Lot of customers didnt have on mask but the store employees did. One cashier was exceptional nice to my grands. You had to work hard finding cashiers. Look like every store I visit is under staff but I didnt rush anyone. I understand.

Belk is the best place to shop. They have the nicest employees, greatest sales an selection of clothing.

Lots of good deals to be had. Tammy T was really helpful at check out. Seemed pretty busy for a week day. They had pick up parking places so thats available.

They had very little women apparel smaller than xl. And the few things I found were mixed in with the very large clothes. Good selection of 2 xl & larger but was a huge waste of time for a medium or large shopper.

Messed up my online order and my instore puchase. Every person I talked to had a different answer for the same question.

Finally they had a lot of shopping carts in. I told them several times that they are going to lose a lot of customers especially the elderly and disabled because it is hard on us to hold our thongs in our hand along with our pocketbook and try to shop. Thank you balk for doing that.

I was very disappointed in the customer service I got from a Sales Associate. She was very rude. She was waiting on one other person and she kept telling me I needed to stand in line. I told her there was no mask requirement now and she said I want you to stand in line for me...I ask her if she called that good customer service and she smarted off at me and told me yes..I told her I wanted a man ager and she said she didnt care....She could have simply said Im sorry for the misunderstanding but she chose to be obnoxious and unprofessional...Another Sales Associate at Belk offered to help me and she was courteous and respectful.When I worked at Harris Teeter they would fire their employees if they treated customers like that.They always said we had an opportunity to show kindness because you never know what soneone is going through so give them your best at all times.

Belk is having an amazing event today! I just stopped in to buy a belt, and ended up walking out with three belts and five pair of dress pants! There is a charity event where you buy a $5 ticket and automatically get $10 off your purchase and an additional 65%! Plus, theres a ton of stuff on clearance! I saved $180! I only ended up spending just over $100!! You can use that same ticket for several more times of shopping. I think its two more. You should definitely check it out!!!

Great selection and prices however they only have 1 check out open with several employees just walki ng around or straightening clothes.

Prices were very reasonable but store was very disorganized within each department. I was looking for shorts and there werent very many options, but maybe its too early in the year for them?

I did find what I was looking for, the challenge was finding an open checkout. Almost every one I went to had a sign up that the register was closed. I understand they may be short staffed, but at least put a note letting customers know which department has a checkout open and available to customers so they arent walking the entire store frustrated.

Ordered a pickup and selected to go in the store to pick it up, but when we arrived a kind and courteous already had our items and loaded them into our trunk for us. Extremely fast and easy experience, which was much appreciated.

Belk has quality products that range in prices so that most of us can enjoy what they are offering. It still has the customer service and upscale not so big department store.... department store charm. They have real sales. And still take returns without having to jump through hoops to get your money back if youre not satisfied. The staff is well informed of the inventory and can actually help you pick out something you want, but just cant put your finger on whats going to work. Drop in when you get a chance and youll know why the company has been in business for so long. Love this store and will, too.

All the workers are very hopeful, helpful and so very friendly. I actually enjoyed my shopping and was able to get everything I needed and at very decent prices. Ill be doing much more shopping there 🙂👍

I dont think many people know about this Belk store. For that reason its never crowded when I go there so I love to shop at this one instead of the other ones. Plenty of parking, easy to get to and many restaurants nearby.

This monroe store has to be ready to close, only one cashier could be found and she is ready to quit, very sad.

Went in to return part of an online order and waited about 20 minutes in a rather long line without a single person being helped while I waited. Not to mention that in their infinite wisdom they decide to turn off the automatic doors during a time when everyone is worried about germs. Making everyone use the same manual doors to enter and exit completely negates your little hand sanitizing station... Thanks for nothing Belk

I find Belk stores if you are a plus sizeYour clothes will be in a back space. The models for the outfits are put on size 9 and tucked to look better on it than you.If you want help at this Belks dress to impress.I went prepared to buy several things in the makeup section.But I kept getting jumped over for other ladies. I will admit that they were better dressed than myself. But the staff at the time were getting paid on sales.After I made them aware how much I had plan to buy.They acted as if I was in the just wonderful.I did not tell them I had to save up for it .To said the least after my treatment I did not buy it from them.I drove several miles out of the way to get what I wanted at the time.

Belk is always a great store. The people are friendly. They often have great sales, ( buy 1 get 2 free. ) On name brands. Especially if you have the Belk card, you get extra savings on stuff. I sound like a commercial. I swear that I dont work for them. it is just a really good store.

Love the service received in shoe dept. ( ladies) . The gentleman by the name of Ray that worked in this department always gave special service. Always seemed to know especially what the repeating customers would like. During the spring, summer and fall months very hard worker.Always showed compassion for everyone. I have seen that department with less patrons since the management made the decision to move Mr. Smith to Mens shoes. This is terrible for this store. Management and Cooperate need to review this decision. I have since along with many friends decided to moved to another facility. Help the store and your business ....Sincerly.

For a small town, this is a great Belk! Lots of brands and choices. The price checkers do not work. I think i tried them all. They need more registers opened. Lines were long on a Tuesday afternoon... For the merchandise options, Ill go again when in town.

Had what I needed and at a decent price. It feels kind of depressed and appears to have a lack of attention to neatness. But ran in found an obscure color tie for sons dance to match date. All good.

So all around a great store, but an employee was not nice and looked like she simply hated being there, I believe her name was Jackie. My friend and I were looking to buy some bathing suits for summer, and I found one that I liked and decided to check out without him. I handed (Jackie) my bathing suit, and asked if she could look up a phone number for my families Belk’s Reward Card. She proceeded to refuse my request and I quote, “We don’t do that here because of social security reasons.” Later, my friend went to checkout at a different register, and asked the same request, and it was granted to him. The clerk even gave him an extra sale price.

We had a real nice time getting gifts . I was hard to find someone to help us. We were not able to find kids shoes. Everyone sent us to all the wrong places.

This is the WORST BELK IVE EVER BEEN TO... Not much of a selection, HORRIBLE customer service. Literally couldnt find an associate to help me, had to come out covered up in my jacket of dressing room to find myself another size. When I was ready to check out there was NO ONE TO BE FOUND!! I got so irritated that I just put everything down and walked out! Only GOOD THING is they usually have great sales....but NOT HELPFUL IF YOU CANT FIND AN EMPLOYEE TO CHECK OUT!!

Belk has some great sales and they were really helpful! The clothing brands they carry are also really great! I always have a good experience.

Belk has great sales; however, their returns system is extremely poor as to discourage customers from returning products. This has happened to me and several of my friends and family and at several Belk locations. While doing the return, their system claims that the UPC of the item youre trying to return does not match the UPC in the system (though the UPC on the item and the UPC on the receipt match). They have refused to process the return because of this. Hmmmm... Sleazy much?
