EDIT based on owner response: we were never sent an email on June 4, 2021. The screenshot you sent us was BS and can confirm for a fact we were never sent an email on June 4. We have quadruple checked the email account - both of us, and there was no email sent. Additionally, your response in person when asked about gas was not no, we can take care of it for you or charge the card on file in person - you simply said NO. I asked my fiancΓ© twice about the gas and he assured me that you said literally just no when he asked you in person about filling up gas. He also mentioned that you were quite rude to the other customers yelling at them to close the door so your dogs dont get out.. this is all just very unprofessional and I will not listen to your lies, nor will I ever run my company in this manner.ORIGINAL review:We rented a pontoon or 7/3. They did not inform us prior to the rental that we need to complete a safety course. We received an email Friday at 6pm the night before our rental on a holiday weekend.Also - We asked their employee in person upon pick up if we need to fill up gas and she said βno.β That was all she said.On the boat, the anchor rope was so extremely tangled we spent 45 minutes untangling it so we could anchor deeper.The next day, we get an extra charge to our card. The employee stated it was for prop damage and gas 1) the prop was not damaged. She said oh oops that was for another boat. And 2) they never disclosed we would be charged for gas - we docked and couldβve filled up at lunch. We even made sure to ask that same employee Kara if we need to fill up and all she said was no - in person she never told us we would get a charge when we specifically asked.Not only did she charge us for someone elseβs damage but she was very misleading and unclear. Would not recommend renting from them and will certainly go with another company next time.We had to waste even more time on this having to dispute with our credit card company.
Ive rented pontoons from them probably 15 times now. Best prices on the lake and extremely friendly staff. They even help us fill up our floats with air every time we go. Only place I rent from anymore. I almost didnt want to write this review to keep this place more of a secret.
A BIG thank you to Kara with Lake Norman boat rentals. She helped find us a boat and saved the day. My personal boat had motor issues and we had invited friends from out of town for a boat ride. Great day on the lake. Very flexible as we tried to change our rental 3-4 different times due to cold weather. There were no issues with it and they were very accommodating! Clean boat! 1st time boat rental and will definitely rent again and from same place!!

We rented a boat for the Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. The boat was beautiful - looked brand new! There were no problems and it was a seamless pick-up and drop-off process.
I was looking for a specific pontoon boat and these guys were the further (distance wise) of the dealers the manufacturer provided. It was apparent upon first calling them that they were motivated to provide great customer service. I ended up traveling 6 hours to/from my residence to purchase from these guys...and it was entirely worth it. I was a little nervous at first making this purchase from such far of a distance, but they did everything within their ability to prove their trust (not to mention they were always super responsive). Would I purchase from them again? Without a doubt!

Been renting from the for the past few years now, a lot to say but to keep it sure the best rental place on the lake hands down. The customer service was amazing from the moment we walked in through when we got back in my car. They even brought down my cooler for me. They put us on the brand new Princecraft this year it was awesome! If you are looking for a rental check these guys out!
If I could give this company and driver a zero star rating I would. We had a big group and let the company know up front the exact numbers and got 2 boats. We paid the full amount and then the driver said on the day there was too many of us - that the drivers and the coolers we brought counted in the total number of people. When we tried to challenge him on this he threatened to throw some of us and said he βdidnβt care if he got paidβ. Several of us ended up getting off the boat instead of going back with the rest of the group to the pick up location. He also chose the spot we stopped in which was not the agreed upon place at the Sandbar, refused to play music saying other boats had music on, and was inappropriately political. Never would work with this company again!
We rented a pontoon for a bachelorette party this weekend. The boat was AMAZING, the staff was friendly and organized, and the prices were reasonable. Safety and paperwork was taken care of quickly and efficiently and we were on the lake in no time. A fun day of tubing and sand bar floating. I would never rent from another company if I ever return to lake norman!
I agree with the previous reviews about our ride yesterday and this companyβs responses to our reviews just prove our point. I would expect them to tell us they are looking into the matter or apologizing for the poor customer service (that we all observed and experienced from the captain) but clearly that is not the way they operate their business. And yes, their voicemail box was full the two times I tried to call last week to ask questions about our day. Thatβs a fact.
Booked a boat from them a whole month in advance, they call me the day before as I am traveling to Lake Norman to tell me the boat I was renting was not going to be available. Mind you I have a group of people traveling down and everything. Very inconsiderate, had no backup option where I could get another boat or nothing. Terrible company. Donβt ever rent from them.
My family and I rented a boat for the weekend in September and the service and the cleanliness of the boat was great. The Princecraft pontoons performance was beyond what we expected. Will definitely be back

Driver was inappropriately political, threatened passengers to βthrow them offβ, and said he βdidnβt care if he got paid,β when challenged on customer service issues. Called several times leading up to rental with questions with no answer and voicemail full. Would never work with this group again.
