They have RVs both for rental and for sale. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We bumped into the fleet manager Dave in the parking lot and he spent nearly an hour walking us through the different models with us (hes not even a salesman!) Theres also a service area and a small collision repair center.

I was on my way back from Uvas Canyon after camping and needed somewhere to dump our tanks. Google Maps said Family RV was closed but we swung by anyhow because it was on our way. Yep, the gates were closed, but I jumped out the car to check the hours for next time. Fortunately a super friendly guy, called Vinny happened to be there and asked what I was looking for. Long story short, he let us in, we paid $20, dumped the tanks, and we were on our way. Couldnt asked for more!

After a couple of months of looking at our future home we took the plunge. Ive never seen a company more patient than Family RV. From start to finish Briana was there along with Chrystal to steer us in the right direction. Once that was done Shane and the others in service made sure everything was in great working order and if it needed fixed or replaced it was done. With all of this being said, I would buy another RV and will be taking my rig to them for upkeep. GREAT staff GREAT service. I had a very disappointing experience here. I had made an RV rental, and then COVID hit. I agreed to keep the reservation and was reassured that I could reschedule it any time for the same price. When I asked to reschedule it, they said the price would be almost double what I had already paid. So they kept my money in full for 4+ months and I had to pay a very high cancellation fee. I guess this is they how they repay customers who tried to support them and be flexible with travel dates?

Very poor SERVICE. I got a Warranty and after 6 months they are not giving me any service. What do you think they are doing with my money and time?

When I went to Family RV without an appointment, they stopped what they were doing, met with me, listened to my needs and acted accordingly. I got a great unit (used) which is what I wanted at an extremely affordable price. I have now had it over a year and absolutely NOTHING is or was wrong with it. I named it The Luau Lounge and have enjoyed each and every moment with it.Alan and his son Justin are absolutely two of the finest people ever. They are honest, fun, kind and they work very hard to please. They work very hard period which is a breath of fresh air these days. Bait and switch they post their RV’s online called them and “Chris” the sales guy said on the phone that the RV’s where their and verified. I drove the whole way there 2 hours and he said they where sold months ago by another sales guy and he was trying to sale us something else not even the model we wanted. I wouldn’t trust this place and don’t trust Chris the sales guy. Don’t waste your time read the other reviews this isn’t the first time.

Family RV is GREAT! My Mom rented an RV 10 or so years ago and was pleased with their service. So when I needed advice and help I gave them a call. I am in a situation where I have to sell the RV and I am underwater. Alan and his staff have been so helpful in assisting in the rental process and it being rented has helped me pay down the principle. The RV has been with them for a year now and it went up for sale today. Love this place, awesome people!

Weve rented the same, 21ft C-class motor-home twice now - once for a short weekend trip and recently for a full week of Sonoma Wine Country fun. The entire rental experience has been flawless, effortless and secure. Ive never once felt as if anything or anyone at Family RV was not 100% truthful. They are a great team and I will continue to use them... that is, until I finally buy an RV. I had damage to my trailer and to no surprise my Insurance company Liberty Mutual was not taking care of me but Family RV did. They helped me through the entire Excruciating experience. I was treated like family and I cannot say enough good things about Sabrina and Crystal. After looking around for two or three months we bought one of Family RVs ex-rental motorhomes, a 2018 Thor Chateau with full slideout. Having driven it 200 miles home and then taken it on a three day, 300 mile first trip, we couldnt be happier with it. Everyone was very helpful on the day we bought the motorhome and have been helpful subsequently when weve had questions.

Great Service: not everything about the entire experience was perfect, but the help I got from the staff was consistently excellent -- beyond expectations. For example, entirely through my own fault I was late for the trailer pickup when my own tow vehicle suddenly became unavailable: the staff showed no impatience, stayed late, and fixed me up with an SUV rental on the spot. A small equipment problem arose during my trip and the service desk routed me to another dealer near Redding who fixed it immediately. I saw no indication of any problems mentioned in other reviews. I will happily use Family RV for rentals again.

We rented a 24 Class C motor home for our trip to Seacliff State Beach.This being our first time renting an RV, we were given a full walk through of all the features and options and how they operate within the RV. I felt very comfortable in driving off the lot to pack up for our adventure. I have to say, their customer service is excellent.Thank you Family RV! Well definitely be back again!

You cannot trust this operation. They have poorly maintained vehicles and do not provide sufficient customer service to make sure you can get full use of the RV. Heres the story: I reserved a newer 26 class C I felt Id be comfortable operating, but less than one day from when I was supposed to pick it up I was told it was broken and would be put into a better RV. Well, it was bigger but not better and it had problems too. Water lines leaked and got the floor wet. The check out was hurried, so my suggestion is if you are new to operating the RV, make sure you operate ALL of the equipment yourself to make sure you know it works. Dont let them just show you. This will also flush out any other equipment problems too. Since they are a re-renter of other owners RVs, you really are not guaranteed you will get exactly what you order since the inventory is so varied. Id recommend El Monte or Cruise America over these guys since at least youll know exactly what you are getting. One last note is you will see a familiar theme with all of the low rated reviews. They will charge you extra on your return. Be leery of these cheats.

My husband and I went in to purchase an RV that we had found online and were so pleasantly surprised to find that there was no pressure to purchase something more expensive and larger. There was no pressure to take it home before they had a chance to go over the trailer with a fine tooth comb to make sure that our AS IS trailer was perfectly safe and everything was in working order. They also surprisingly added several extras and even gave us a sway bar and hitch. They were so friendly and helpful, almost like family. My husband and I highly recommend them to anyone buying or renting an RV wanting a good experience as well as a fair deal. We got what we wanted at the price we wanted with absolutely no hassle. I rented a class C motorhome a few months back for a trip to Arizona. It was a mixed bagFirst the good:1. Practically a brand new vehicle (Thor Chateau 2019) in excellent condition. Evidently the company takes very good care of the fleet.2. Very knowledgeable and friendly technical and office staff3. Reasonable price - a bit more expensive than Cruise America, but youll likely get a newer/nicer motorhome.Not so good:1. They approved early checkout which I asked for, but when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I had to wait for ~3hrs until a technical specialist was available to walk me through and release the vehicle2. My insurance would not cover motorhome rental, but my credit card does. Family RV policy didnt accept this form of coverage and I was forced to purchase additional $480 insurance from them, which was pretty much useless.3. When I returned the vehicle they found a microscopic (less than 1/4) chip in the windshield. I didnt even notice it was there.Their policy is to repair such damage, no matter how minor, and I was charged another $100In short it was still a great family experience, but additional charges look capricious to me and left some bad taste.If they change the policy wrt 2 and 3 Id be ready to give them 5 stars.

I wanted to put a solar array and battery upgrade on our 43 Itasca Ellipse. Matt & Nik at Family RV did a top-notch install, from emailing pictures with the proposed placement of the solar panels before fastening them down, to coming up with a novel proposal for battery choice which gave the coach more power reserve than I had though possible given the space. The install quality was first rate, service was quick, and their prices were very reasonable. Ill be taking my coaches back to Family RV in the future!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Our family rented 2 RVs from them for one week over Thanksgiving .They made very quick check in the beginning and claimed all safe and good- we have told them there is no air in the tire and the fridge not working they said it will get cooler when you will start driving well it did not! and we did not had fridge for the whole week. There was no pipe for disposal so we had to buy one, the lights in the living room did not worked and the hook for the water was broken. during the way the battery died and at this point we called them for help and they said that we had to get the technician, we spend one day to find one and for him to fix it and bring new battery. with all that being said when we came back we clean the RVs inside and out, I vacuum everything and wipe. as we return the RV they checked it for one hour and told us its not clean, as we asked where its not clean they told us under the RV - is this a joke! are you suppose to clean under the RV behind the tires.After one week they send us a letter that the cleaning fee is $400 - what? where this number came from, the second RV had $150 of cleaning fee.... well if you look online none of the biggest company do not charge this much. They said they charge $50 per hour, 8 hours of cleaning - we all know its not true. I was very disappointing as they did not said even one time sorry for all the trouble you had along the way. As we renting RV usually 3 times per year, never again from this company and be careful if you do so - very tricky employees and owner. Since than we are calling them every day and leaving messages and no reply up to today!

Big, high quality RV, clean and ran great, reasonable rates. Great company.My first RV rental/trip, and I had a great experience with Family RV for my two kids, a grandma, and a few pop-ins. Winter rental rates were very reasonable, I got a big Class-C (more RV than I could have gotten from Cruise America), and everything worked.When I picked it up, it was cleaned, prepped, tested, and the fridge was already cold (thanks, Steve). Theres plenty of paperwork to do, but they took me through it quickly and professionally (thanks Justin). Online reservations were straightforward, but Im a newbie so I called and they took care of everything over the phone (thanks, Donna). Theyre serious about insurance so if you dont want to use theirs its worth checking with your own insurance company ahead of time to make sure they provide the written verification of coverage. If theres more than one driver, youll need all of them to do this, too.They let me know ahead of time that I needed to make arrangements to have the RV cleaned inside and out when I returned it. Theyll do it for a (high) hourly service fee. I did it myself, but at the end of a trip it would have been awfully nice to have the cleaning included for a more reasonable and predictable amount.My first night there were a couple of things I wasnt sure about. The person who had briefed me on how to operate it provided his cell number just in case. I sent him a non-urgent text at about 11:45 PM not needing or expecting a call that night. Steve called me back within ten minutes, walked me through the couple of questions I had, and walked me through a few more items just to be helpful. It boosted my confidence and made the trip go very smoothly.All in all, it was a great experience. Ill go back to them, and Ill recommend them to my friends.

Not thrilled at this place they do have some nice vehicles to rent but they regularly send them out with problems and theyre yours to deal with until you get back and they dont really seem to care about anything except damage no matter how much trouble you had with their equipment

I had a terrible experience with family RV. We rent the model 24ss for three days we cannot even use the shower the water flow everywhere the sink clog we have to used the public restroom. When we return they changed $50 cleaning fee which they never told us. The girls at the cashier are very rude, I would never go back to this place again and will tell everyone I know not to rend the RV at this company

We rented a 26 footer RV from Family RV over the past week for a short family trip to Clearlake and the entire process from renting to returning has been very pleasant. We had a blast with our 4 year old daughter throughout the RV trip and the best part of the RV as we have came to realized is making new friends from all different walks of life.The CEO Alan and his son, Justin has been a great help throughout this entire process. Especially Alan has been great at remembering his customers and very polite in managing all his customers. We felt very comfortable dealing with them.Ken who manages the RV for us has been great at offering advises. Since it was our first time renting a RV, his advises has really helped. He even offered his cell phone to help us out when we were out in the middle of clearlake.Thanks for the wonderful first time RV experience that we would remember forever. I purchased a trailer from Family RV that I saw on Craigslist. It was advertised as a NEW 2015 Trailer at a really good price. I drove over 2.5 hours to get there to make the purchase. When we arrived there was a LARGE dent in the hitch area that had begun to rust. The salesman stated its a loss leader unit so thats what you get. Had the ad stated the trailer was damaged we would have not made the trip. It was a good price and after considering the time invested we went through with the purchase.After siging the documents, we left and took our trailer home. Once we got there we realized they gave us the originals of the paperwork, which we gladly sent back via FedEx Overnight shipping at a cost of $20 to us.Not too long after the sale we received a Invoice in the mail for $53. The invoice stated we didnt pay all of the fees due. What that actually means is Family RV didnt calculate them correctly. We called an explained that we paid the agreed upon price, and that we also incurred an expense to send back the paperwork. Still, they are demanding that we pay for their mistake.We spoke to (2) seperate people in the Family RV organization, both stating we must pay this amount.This is just terrible customer service and a bad business plan. Im shocked they are persuing it this far. It makes me wonder - if collecting a $30 fee (that was their mistake) is that big of a deal, how much longer will these folks be around?

I have a Coachmen Mirada 34BH Class A motor home with 18,500 miles that I have owned for 3 years. We LOVE our RV, and so do our kids. We moved from Boston to San Jose in this RV when my kids were very young and the kids act like its another member of the family. They even named it Harvey the RV.My wife Liz and I discovered that we were not using it as much as we would like, so we apprehensively decided that it would be a good idea to rent it out to see if we could to make a bit of money to cover the ownership costs.We started renting to friends and neighbors, and it worked out OK, but honestly, we had some real issues a few times and decided that if we were going to let others use our RV, that we needed a professional rental company to manage the rentals for us. Theres a lot to think about with marketing, maintenance, what you have do if the renters have issues on the road, or just answering the 1000s of questions that renters sometimes have.I had used Family RV to do some maintenance on our RV in the past and had a great feeling from the service techs when I was there. I found Family RVs website and filled out their online rental form on April 4, 2014 to find out more about their rental consignment program. I received and email back immediately and we corresponded back and forth by email about details of how the program works and all of my questions were answered. I brought my motor home over on April 5th to show them what I had.I was busy the whole month of April but I was able to fill out the forms and send them into Family RV and they added me and my RV into their rental program without even having the RV on their lot. On May 18th I brought it in and they inspected the RV and quickly got to work to get the RV in perfect running order so we could start renting it.Family RV put a technician on Harvey and took an extensive amount of pictures with detailed information on the condition so we understood where the starting point was. I was impressed with the detail and thoroughness of this inspection and how many pictures were taken for our future reference. Family RV repaired the RV and fixed all the problems quickly and at a very reasonable rate. The main problem was our generator that was losing oil actually needed a new motor to make it function correctly. Family RV sent the generator to an authorized service center to get it fixed. While there was no generator in the RV the staff was still able to rent it out like it was and I made some money even with no working generator. Talk about efficient! I was excited that I got some rental income even though the generator was out of the RV.The generator got repaired and the RV is now working perfectly and making me money every month.Ive had a great experience with Family RV so far and expect that our relationship will last a very long time. Alan and all of the service techs are fantastic, and keep us up to date on rentals, progress on any maintenance, and in general take even better care of Harvey than my own family does.If youre thinking about renting your RV, or if you have been thinking about renting an RV for a family trip - call Alan today and start the process. Hello allWanted to tell you about my experiance buying a motorhome at Family RVI walked on the lot knowing what I wanted to see becasue I had checked there inventory online. Rick ( great guy) met me in the lot and we looked at the unit I was interested in. He showed me all around the unit and it was beautiful clean and shinny.We made the deal but I had no place to put the motorhome at that time. Rick offered to store it there on the lot till I could get a place ready for it.It took me about two weeks to get a place ready for the motorhome. They never said a word about it taking to long and never charged me a dime for storage. Great guys for sure.I drove it off the lot and Rick followed me to my home so he could return me to the lot to get my car.Two hours after I got home I thought I had fryed something in the motorhome ( My fault). I was freaking out. I called Family RV and talked to Alan ( the boss) He assured me that it was something very simple and told me to check a couple of things and if that didnt work then he would send someone over to check it out at no charge to me.I checked the things that he told me to check, found the problem and in less then one minute had it fixed and it worked great.Thanks Alan and Rick for a great experiance I owe you some smoked salmonThanks Family RV
