The store is clean and looks nice, but it seems like no one works here except the cashiers. I walked around looking for someone to unlock an electronic item and there weren’t any other employees in the store. Same at the Ice cream counter. Ended up leaving and not getting anything.

It’s a very large Rite Aid with a good selection. I was visiting from out of town and had to come here a few times to get some items and get a prescription filled. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly towards me the whole time and I was able to get my prescription filled very quickly.

The pharmacist Andy was so helpful. He got my insurance entered into the system, explained my new meds quickly, and was just really kind and pleasant which is pretty rare with pharmacists in my experience. Thanks Andy!

I heard from my mother( age 88) who usually enjoys the pharmacy service but had a horrible experience recently. The pharmacist, 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧, gave my mom a vaccine in a small room without wearing a mask and ranting her political views against our Governor. So unprofessional and so uncomfortable that mom is thinking about changing pharmacies. Ugh. Please protect seniors 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧 and save your rants for after work!

The grocery aspect of the store is fine for quick in and out trips. The pharmacy is run poorly, and Ill never have another prescription filled there. They ignored the doctors prescription (what my insurance covered) and took it upon themselves to fill the prescription with what they had in stock. When I went to pick them up, they tried to charge me nearly $500 because the medicines they had werent covered by my insurance. One quick phone call from the pharmacy could have eliminated some confusion, saved me a trip, and saved them a customer. Even though this is the most conveniently located pharmacy for where I live, Ill gladly take a drive elsewhere in order to skip another Rite Aid induced headache.* Edit * I attempted to contact customer service via the email address that was provided in the response by the Rite Aid Owner. The address is no good! So much for customer service!

Dr. Micki Palacios (PharmD), the Managing Pharmacist, is extremely knowledgeable, able, friendly, willing to help, and devoted to providing excellent patient care. Special needs for unique medications are researched and met. Flu and other vaccines are available and administered very professionally and promptly. Prescriptions are filled and dispensed promptly and professionally. When special medications are needed for patients with medication sensitivities and allergies, they are ordered. Insurance billing is handled professionally and promptly.Due to the excellent service offered, the Pharmacy is sometimes busy and there may be a short wait during busy periods. The excellent care and service are well worth the wait.The pharmacists, Mellisa, and all of the other who work in the Pharmacy are friendly and provide an exceptional level of service in a very busy, high demand environment.Michael Garcia, the Manager, has also been very helpful.

This place is the worst! Never enough registers open, and the cashiers take there sweet time with no care at all. It took the one and only cashier over 10 minutes to check someone out then they chit chatted for several minutes, while the line of 7 people waited.

The staff Kellie was having bad day took her grief out on me when i went to pick up an AmaZon package from my neice!Everytime I tried to show Kellie my scan code On phone, she wouldnt look..she said wont help her. I pointed out my neices package as it turns out, can be in senders name, so the scan code on my phone would of saved her all the trouble. LoL next day I talked to her manager,Michael who is aWeSome manager!!He can fix any problems you may have! Go see Michael at RiteAid!!!⭐ hes aGreat Manager⭐ he will retrain some staff👍

Where do I start...I have been using this pharmacy for over 20 years, mainly because they are the only drug store in town. At least 50 times, they either did not get the fax or did not get the call...for whatever reason, they dont have my medication. I finally asked my doctors to write paper prescriptions only, and all has been well. Just dont have your prescriptions called or faxed into the store. Then, YOU are responsible for watching for when your refills are due. They say they have auto-refill, but they really dont. Also, the dated-filled is now the day you pick it up. Yes, they will change the date-filled if you pick up your prescription a day late. This will change the date of your next refill. I.E., your just lost a days worth of medication for picking it up a day late. My guess is that they are simply way understaffed, in addition to having a computer system that has some major flaws. The employees are polite, and so is the pharmacist. Just use paper prescriptions only, and keep track of when your medication refills are due. Call in the refill well in advance, then dont miss the day they are due, I.E., exactly 30 days after it was last filled.

Karen the pharmacist is great, some other counter folks need lessons in customer service! First look to be sure you give patient ALL RX at one time!! You shouldnt have to go back 2-3x to get all RX Dr called/ sent in! Smile and act like you care! Does wonders for repeat business!🌹😊

Got alot of help and they are pretty dedicated to finding what u need if you ask. Had more staff this time coming so service was excellent. They arnt all sad world corona crazy which is nice. I love this little rite aid.

Went there to pick up 2 items. There was only one person working the register AND the ice cream counter. We were next in line at the register and the employee walked away to help those people at the ice cream counter. He made no apology, no eye contact, just completely ignored us. We set our items down and went over to purchase them at Albertsons.

This should be ZERO stars. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to and I will not ever go back! My doctor called in two prescriptions yesterday. I went in today at 4pm and the clerk handed me one. I asked where the other was and she said she didnt know....maybe they had to order it. Then she said I had to come back in 30 minutes because she had to re-bill since I had just given her my insurance card. When I came back she handed me the one prescription again. And again I asked where the other one was, and again she said she didnt know. I asked her if she could find out (DUH!!), and she was gone for awhile (WHY didnt she do this while I was gone?). When she came back she told me that this other Rx was no longer available and that the pharmacy would call my doctor tomorrow. WHY didnt they do that when they realized it wasnt available!?? So I asked her which one was I getting and which one was I not getting. I knew one was a creme and one was a cortisone, but I didnt know the names of either because my doctor and I had talked on the phone. I never had anything in writing. She said Its for dry itchy skin. I said, I know that (that was why I called my doctor), but is the cortisone the one I am getting or the one that isnt available. She said - AGAIN -Its for dry itchy skin. I said well I guess I will have to look it up on the computer. I will find another pharmacy in Morro Bay or I will drive to SLO.

Complacency at its finest! A product was placed on hold at the pharmacy the night before since I was picking it up for a friend and had no idea what it looked like. At the pharmacy counter, the cashier could not locate it, so she asked the pharmacist. Aisle 47 was all she said. When I explained why it should be there I just got a blank stare... No such product in aisle 47... Again at pharmacy counter cashier #2. Again goes and asks the same pharmacist. Now Im escorted to product, aisle 46. For a big chain, I figured customer service would be a focal point. But when the pharmacist comes across as slug like what can the others do... Store, no problem. Pharmacy, needs customer support help

KAREN-shes almost always there as the pharmacist on duty and shes most the friendly and caring one I have EVER seen! She always goes out of her way to help, and seems to have an almost divine-like amount of patience. The male pharmacist seems nice too.

The slowest service in town.One slow cashier for a line of waiting customers. 1 person working the floor. And no one to serve icecream. I feel bad for the workers who try to do there best.

They are kind of slow and often dont have your prescription ready. I suggest calling to confirm its ready. Depending on the clerk it could take a while. And some are friendly some are not. They often tell me the Dr didnt ok the refill when I call the Dr they say they did. The pharmacist is very helpful and will answer your questions thoroughly.. I tried to get pictures of the photo of the photo of the photo processing area and the clerk wouldnt allow me. I explained that people who read reviews are usually new customers and it would earn them business. we called the manager she also refused. I left my $30 on the counter and told her I am no longer $30 a day. Lost from bad rules or possibly Shannon the store manager is right but I will be calling district to get a clear answer. I get a few pics and will try to post them now. Pharmacy is slow service is nice. I will not be back. Ok I went back. They had a flower pot I wanted all pots are half off. I found one perfect for my needs. It was obvious that the handle had been broke off. I took it to see if give me a better price since it was obviously broken. Just so happens that the manager was my cashier I asked about a reduced price. She raised here voice and NO! We send them back to the company. She is not just unfriendly but down right RUDE! PLEASE PRESS LIKE IF THIS REVIEW HELPED.

Id do zero stars if I could. Always incredibly slow lines, employees dont pay attention and make careless mistakes... Worst thing is the manager went out of his way to stop my friend from purchasing alcohol in an entirely seperate transaction from my own. He acted like a crusader stopping moral wrong doing. For the record, I am 21, but it was Entirely irrelevant to what was happening as I was buying ice cream seperately. I recommend staying out of this store due to the people running it.

Pharmacy: I’m forced into a line to ask what I need to give as this is my first visit. The pharm tech says to wait two hours, so I go home and come back in just over two hours (just to be sure). I then wait in the long line again. The tech tells me the drop off window needs more information. So I go over there, and they tell me to wait another half hour. This pharmacy is only for people who live lives of leisure, and the staff are rude and aloof. I won’t use them again.

Never had a problem at the pharmacy. Even with a line, Ive never experienced an excessively long wait there. Same goes for the line at the main register. I dont eat the ice cream, but it seems theres always somebody there to help those who do. The employees are occasionally curt but never rude, and certainly that shouldnt come as a surprise in a capitalist society where 95% of the population is overworked and/or underpaid because the corporations are just interested in pleasing the stockholders...Hey, Ive got an idea... try being nice to them every once in a while and see what you get back

I feel sad for all the pharmacy people. The rule HQ has put on them is over the top. I know its frustrating in line. The pharmacist forced to ask you a question about your same RX takes them away from preparing all those scripts. I bet the pharmacy assist. Just cringe disturbing them for such a silly thing for them to have to do. Be a lil more patient. Go check the as seen on tv isle.

After a three hour wait, having endured a 45 minute line twice and calling, sent to sit down and wait some more. Just need an inhaler. This is outrageous!Since posting this post initially, I’m still here waiting some more. Service reps don’t care and are moving incredibly slowly between each task. No communication. Very disappointing.
