I would rate it higher, but the leather jacket I wished to buy was a size too small.:( :( :( Im fairly certain my momma bought me some plates from SC and I love them, so I really cant arge.
Nice assortment of clothing and great styles.
Such a great consignment store! I’ve been coming to The Storm Cellar for seven+ years and it’s always a fun time shopping for deals in clothing and also the large variety of cool home goods, rugs, and art pieces. It’s not a stretch to say 90% of my wardrobe has come from The Storm Cellar and the range extends from a NWT wool J Crew winter coat to an absolutely stunning vintage blue and gold silk Asian jacket. You can find plenty of wardrobe staples like Levi’s jeans or a good versatile top, but I especially enjoy the many unique, one of a kind, pieces I’ve snagged here like a pristine red leather vintage bomber jacket. I also like that I can wear and enjoy a piece of clothing for months and later reconsign it when I’m ready to switch things up, of course using the $$ when it sells to buy another Storm Cellar item. I’ve consigned several items over the years and have always been impressed by how smooth and easy the process is.Besides great clothes, I really appreciate the friendly and considerate staff. It’s very heartwarming to shop at a store where employees make the effort to know your name and personally greet you! Five stars, only because I can’t give more!
Shopped here for almost 3 years, now I shop here much less. In the past I have found EXCELLENT vintage items here. I have 3 items I purchased here that I wear very frequently. However, recently, the majority of their items have been new-with-tags outsourced clothing items that are either nice, but too expensive for a consignment store (vince sweaters), or low quality new items that still have a $20-$30 price tag. I wish they had more quality vintage items, which is what I go to consignment stores for. Also, consigning here is not a good idea if you are looking to sell nicer clothing items. For cute but cheap things (target, H&M) it might be a better return. I recently consigned a $100 NWT 100% cotton sweater and received $15 back, super low return. Considering that you could spend less time just selling online (rather than making an online appointment to consign here, going in and then waiting to receive your unwanted clothes back etc), the much lower price return makes it an overall bad deal.
The Storm Cellar has a fun selection of quirky and vintage clothing and decor. Great place to gift shop.
Great store and friendly staff! Always find what Im looking for!
Fun place, nice clothes!
Just got my order of housewares + Christmas ornaments delivered to my doorstep in NJ and couldnt be more pleased. Great ecommerce experience, primo product, and our Christmas tree now has a blown glass German lumberjack dude on it, so...WIN. SC was a weekly stop when I lived in town so it was a real bummer to move away. I was so pleased when their online store took off in March because now I can buy Madewell jeans at a 90% discount *and* support a small biz.
Found several great items. Plan on going back.
Always a great selection with great prices and a awesome atmosphere
Fun place and the owners are super awesome but I feel like the pricing/cosigning is questionable. Bought a target brand jacket that was $16 used but the brand new kate spade wallet that I bought with a $225 price tag inside was only sold for $35. I also brought in brand new sandals from american eagle, still sold online (no tags attached) and they were passed on. Yet summer items are what you are asking for right now. A little inconsistent.
I now live in Portland, OR and MISS being able to shop at the Storm Cellar. Austin and Laura and the sweetest proprietors you could ask for and along with their team have done an excellent job at curating great clothes and home goods for the Moscow clientele. Its also incredibly easy to consign clothes you no longer wear and the software they use to show you what has sold and how much you made shows up in your email. Its no muss no fuss and incredibly easy to do. I particularly love all the home goods and stationary they have! I truly believe anyone could find something they will love at the Storm Cellar.
So much awesome stuff!
If I could spend all of my money here, I would. Every single time I’ve come in, I’ve found something unique and that “sparks joy” 😂😉I bring every visitor to town to the Storm Cellar.
I love going shopping here for clothes that are perfect for my style. The atmosphere is great, plenty of changing rooms. Oh and the best part! Ive made hundreds of dollars consigning clothes through them as well! The owners are wonderful people and will even personally call you to gift the reminder that they owe you money!
This boutique has a great selection of used and vintage clothing. They constantly update what they offer and are always on style. I love going here to look for new dress tops and sweaters. They also have a curated selection of home decor items and dish ware. Very cool place!
The best pair of jeans Ive ever bought, I found at the Storm Cellar for a fifth of their normal retail value. You NEVER know what youre going to find when you go in, especially since the store is continually becoming more beautifully decorated, curated, and updated. Most of the pieces I own that I get compliments on, I must reply Oh, yup--got it at the Storm Cellar!
Amazing inventory!
My wife was ok with moving to Idaho because then she could walk down the street every Saturday to shop at the Storm Cellar. It makes her happy. One of the first times I was in the Storm Cellar I encountered a professor sleeping on the couch. Ive bought a few button-down shirts, but not nearly as many items as my wife, as you can imagine. When I think of the Storm Cellar I think of the word well curated. Its very good.
I love looking around in here! I get compliments on a lot of my finds and I say Thanks—Storm Cellar! People usually reply, Ahh, yep like that explains why its so cute. Ive been consigning clothes here since they opened almost. Its exciting.
The Storm Cellar is truly the most well run consignment shop I have ever set foot it and a staple of our community. The atmosphere, products, consigning methods, service, and music selection are excellent. Austin and Laura Storm have contributed heavily to the success, beauty, and success of our wonderful downtown Moscow and we are lucky to have access to quality apparel/ home decor/ shoes/ accessories and their brilliant business model.
They have some super cute and even rare items here. I love that I never know what gem I might find.
High quality hipster thrift store. Even for the same styles & brands that they carry, hard to make consignment arrangements however. Good system, despite.
Quaint shop with quirky products! Reasonably priced and very fashion forward. You’ll probably find something even if you’re trying not to look. A + selection with dressing rooms. They have men’s clothing and products as well.
My fav consignment store - and that is saying something! Great for special occasions, work, play - a treat most every visit.
Oh, pretty much everything I wear comes from this store. For instance, the shirt and pants I happen to be wearing at the moment. I mean, it checks all my boxes: has a pun in the name, it plays really weird music, its remarkably affordable. I would say that the mens section really depends on the quality of stuff brought in recently by consignors—usually pretty high, but occasionally nothing in my size. Still, I guess thats true for any old personality-less outlet store. Down with the outlet mall! Storm Cellar forever!
The Storm Cellar always has a fun selection of clothing and housewares to keep my family and my home looking the great!
A wonderfully curated collection of clothing, fun decor, and gifts. No trash! Reasonable prices.
Best consignment store Ive ever seen. The cellar not only gives you a good chuck of what they sell for you but they make sure to take only higher level clothes (lightly used and nicer brands). You come out with nice quality clothes for a very reasonable price. The Strom cellar has a wonderful atmosphere as well, and everything they have is very trendy and they always have a few really fun and unique items as well. Theyre good at restocking as well so you never know what item youll fall in love with. Wether youre just trying to sell some lightly used clothes or pick up a new outfit or some art, I highly recommend this store.
The Storm Cellar is one of my favorite storms to explore downtown Moscow. Always something interesting! Austin and Laura know how to find treasures and bring them to light.
Awesome style! Ill be coming back for sure! And I love the shoes here!
Most items are very high priced. But sometimes you can find a real gem for a reasonable price. All in all Its a good place to find items that are not in any other store
I’ve consigned here since the store opened, despite the fact that I live in another town with its own consignment shop, and love the fact that I almost always have credit when I stop in. I’ve gotten half my closet here, and the majority of the clothes I get compliments on. Best consignment shop I’ve ever seen. I even photographed it for the cover of a worldwide magazine for an issue on startups because their startup model is great.
Best consignment store ever. Great selection of quality clothes, shoes, bags, belts, and quirky household goods. I get frequent compliments on items Ive found here.
GREAT! selection of top-notch second hand clothes. by far one of my top 3 places for shopping in Pullman & Moscow! :)^^ This was from a year ago. I used to love shopping here, but there has been a huge shift in the merchandise they carry. Its like going into Forever 21. Everything is poor quality, NOT consigned and over priced. I am very let down with where this stores has gone. Seems like for the sake of making more money theyve started outsourcing clothing and housewares. :(
A lot of variety for women but not that much for menswear. There was a mix of housewares and greeting cards. Some of the items were new and others used for clothing, shoes and accessories. Ok prices but feels like one of those younger crowd sort of places and I am not *that* old even haha
Great place for browsing. Make sure to check out their hidden sock section in the back - most people don’t see it
Nice place to buy vintage clothing, shoes and house decor. With a friendly staff that is willing to help anwser any of questons you may have.
This store is legit! It has mostly womens clothes but the mens section has a decent amount of stuff too. Its definitely worth checking out!
I adore their constantly changing selection of cute stationary and dishware. Storm Cellar is one of my favorite places to go for gifts and clothing and their prices are generally reasonable!
You can get something really cool there every once and a while. For example, I got an Alexander Wang jacket for $63. I had less than desirable experience with the consignment lady, however. I dropped some clothes off and she said the left overs would be ready in 15 minutes. She had called someones name when their clothes were ready, so I was under the impression shed call out my name when my clothes were ready too. I browsed around for a while, waiting for my name to be called out. I got bored so I sat in a chair right in front of her. She saw me sitting there for about 10 minutes, but never bothered to say anything to me. I got up and told her that I was going to run and get a coffee and told her which bag was mine. She said condescendingly, Its ready. I said it was going to be 15 minutes. THEN WHY DIDNT SHE SAY ANYTHING TO ME WHILE I SAT THERE AND STARED AT HER?!? Did she think I was doing that for fun? I really think they could be a bit more organized and consistent with customers when it comes to their consignment station, instead of leaving them guessing and being rude to them about it.
Super unique clothes and hip atmosphere. They carry top brands for both men and women. Only down side is that it can be expensive for a used clothing store.
Fun shop that has unique items and well priced. Ive been a consigner and a shopper and had great experiences with both.
Great people. Great clothes to buy. Great for consigning your used clothes. It’s a Moscow landmark for a reason.
One of the most unique stores Ive ever been in. Such luck that its in Moscow. Its owned and operated by an awesome couple and cool staff.
Always an interesting selection of second hand clothing. My girlfriend lives finding cloths here. The guys section is very small though.
This place has everything you can imagine. The prices I felt were very fair. For having so many items this store is very clean and organized, I didnt feel overwhelmed at all!! Thank you!
Great selection got some great deals great employees
Great service and selection. So quirky and eclectic! 5 stars.
Poor costomer service. Called my friend ahead of time to ask them and see if they were looking for items. Previously, all of the items they took from me sold. Spend an hour washing/folding/ironing and bringing in new items, only to arrive and have them not look through anything.I mentioned new designer items I brought and they suddenly were interested in checking my bag, but Id already spent an hour waiting for them to look through it. But, they wanted me to wait another hour. Not worth three hours of my time, I might as well of listed them online or brought them to another store.
Nice store, good prices, great selection. However, I was quite put off by the lack of customer service overall, and the unwelcoming tone of the girl who was at the cash register.Just a friendly reminder that just because a customer doesnt look like your average Moscow resident, doesnt mean they shouldnt feel welcome in your place of business.
I got a shirt here once. I wear it a lot. Nice place.
Nice second hand items. I Recommend it!
Always find great deals here
Expensive for second hand clothes. Why pay brand new prices for used clothes?
Great shop with a lot of unique gift ideas scattered in with the large selection of consignment clothing. Recommend checking it out!
Great place to buy and sell clothing. Generally fair prices, with some new goods as well.
This has to be the best second-hand store I have ever shopped in.
I have bought almost all of my clothes here for the past ten years. It is a great place with a huge collection of trendy clothes at reasonable prices.
Great service, great clothes, quirky novelty items. My husband and I love shopping here.
Great funky items. A must see in Moscow
This is a wonderful place in the community to buy affordable used clothing.
I found some gems here. Sadly they have less and less stuff for men now
Overpriced what a joke!
I love the people at storm cellar and their clothing is really incredible...
Great place to find unique clothing!
Most inviting and professional environment this side of the Atlantic.
Great place for vintage clothing, cool records, and who knows what you might find!
Fabulous trendy clothing at a fraction of store prices.
Lovely store with a great selection and friendly staff.
