Excellent coffee! Had Honey Bee latte and Iced Purple Haze - both delicious. If you don’t want caffeine, go for Iced Matcha!!

One of my favorite coffee shops! I tried here over a year ago in an effort to support local businesses and I love it. The employees are always very friendly and genuinely ask me how I’m doing and what I’m up to - which I appreciate. The coffee is terrific and there are so many different drinks to try. I’m love coming back here and trying new drinks. I highly recommend coming here!

Cute little place. Has a few different things besides coffee. Super sweet girl who works there let us in even though it was about to close. Told us to take our time. We got ice cream & enjoyed the great outside seating.

Second time coming environment and everyone in it is wonderful. I ordered the haze coffee the first time and horchata this time both orders also with iced coffee. The hot coffee is 5 stars and worth every penny! The iced coffee both times came black, unsweetened, and no flavor. They looked nothing like the picture and I thought they would be sweet like the hot coffee. ):

Really cute place and kind staff, I recommend. However, there were two other customers chatting with their masks off in the middle of the store so I took off a star because none of the staff were enforcing indoor mask policies which kind of ruined the experience for me

Great place to get lattes and relax!

I had researched all of the most popular places to eat before going to Savannah, and Goose Feathers had been very well rated. It was the first place we went to for breakfast, and we were sadly disappointed. When they say Express, it is express. If you want a quick bite, fine, but the quiche, waffle, and side orders were not freshly made, but heated up in the microwave, and served cafeteria style on a tray. The coffee was the only good part of the meal, and you could help yourself to free refills.

Coffee is always great and fresh and the atmosphere is welcoming. My new favorite spot!

AREA coffee is a great place to get a cup of coffee and spend some time! Frank and his team are always friendly and they provide the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee, meet with friends and family, quietly get some work or studying done, or simply relax and read a book. Oh, and Friday night open mic is always a fun opportunity to show off your skills, or sit back and enjoy other local talent!

What a great place for lattes, coffee and fellowship. This is a small coffee shop where the staff and owner, Frank, always great us with a smile. Before COVID, people visited to pick up a coffee for carry out, to meet friends, celebrate high school friends, study and meet for business. They sponsor a weekly coffee for Vets and its great to see the guys get together and laugh and rehash stories. I know its been tuff for them with the virus. But they upped their game with a huge tent, plenty of heating devices; and some great looking casual furniture. I hope many people stop for coffee and stay for open mike night, and the other events that are offered.

Ive worked at and explored several different coffee shops, and I can confidently say this place has the best iced latte Ive ever had. Had to come back and buy a bag of beans so I can capture a bit of that magic at home! I deliver for Amazon and if I need a pick me up before a particularly difficult day I always make sure to stop by here for a delicious morning latte pick me up.

What a nice lil place! Loved that they had Peruvian coffee is like finding an oasis in middle of desert!! Had the strawberry and basil lemonade.. so good!!

Best local coffee shop! This place is so cute and a great, quiet place to have a really good coffee! They also offer small snack foods such as muffins. Definitely a must-try when in the area! (No pun intended).

Great local coffee shop with great atmosphere; can’t say enough good things about it! Service was phenomenal and the owner personally went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy. This was our family’s first visit, but definitely not our last! P.S. They have games/toys to keep the kids busy while you enjoy your drinks (a huge plus to us).

This a great, locally-owned and operated coffee shop - with fresh roasted coffee and gluten-free pastries...also sourced and supplied by local businesses. You can have your coffee brewed, served via french press or a pour over. You can also select your own vinyl records to listen to (enjoyed some Tony Bennett) while you have your coffee. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

AREA has literally made a lot of my days better. The owner cares about his customers and about the place he runs. He also hires reputable, caring baristas that are similar to himself. Once, my buddies walk in to just chill and he told us to play anything we wanted on the record player. Frank is a good guy, and this place has great coffee. It is for sure a staple of Mundelein and a lot of my morning commutes to school. There are a lot of new and interesting flavors that you wouldnt think would taste good but they really are amazing.

What a great place to go to get something warm to drink either coffee or tea and they also have awesome local honey to add to it

I wandered in on a Monday(not knowing they were closed.) The new owner was there. He welcomed me in and made me a cup of coffee to go even though they were closed! Very friendly guy. The music is played old-school from vinyl and the atmosphere is great. Check this place out if youre in Mundelein.

Their coffee is delicious! It always gets me through a rough morning! Bagels are great too!! They also serve Holcomb Hollow products, like vegan and gluten free muffins! Staff is always really friendly!

I love stopping by AREA. The coffee is always great, the staff is easy to talk to, and they have interesting, unique items for sale from local small businesses. Its the only actual coffeeshop in Mundelein (aside from chains like SB/DD), and a damn good one, at that.

Serves Hansa coffee with better flavor than the Hansa shop in Libertyville. Quiet location to camp out and study, read or work. Great meeting place to catch up with friends. Love it!

They serve locally roasted coffee and other goods. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed and not pretentious. Definitely my new regular coffee spot. I wished they would open by at least 6:30 am though (reason for only 4 stars).

Area General is our go-to for coffee! Each drink is handcrafted with love and care that blankets the pallet with every comforting sip. The ButterBeer Latte is my favorite flavor combo but I cant resit trying new flavors and specials! The shelves are loaded with artisan goods including jewelry, essential oils, snacks, and candles which are fun to browse while waiting for your coffee to be crafted. Thanks for bringing great coffee to Mundelein!

Great coffee and treats. Theres always a weird smell when you first walk in, sometimes like a thrift store, sometimes spicy food, but it always disappears within a minute, even if you think about it later. I wish they were open later. I usually want to visit their location when theyre closed.

AREA General Store makes an excellent cup of coffee! It is comfortable to sit down and meet friends or get some work done in the cafe as well.

I felt like I was in my kitchen. It was relatively quiet, but there was present, the soothing hum of inaudible conversation. I was able to do my work thanks to the free WiFi, and the coffee was great.

The owner is awesome! He pulls bomb shots of espresso. I always get a dirty chai ice latte and he always makes it on point. Its not watered down at all either! Perfectly iced. Better than Hansa, and Somethings Brewing. Everytime Im in Mundelein Ill stop in. I highly recommend this place to anyone whos a coffee drinker.
