Issue was resolved after posting this review.Im greatful Metro offered a refund, although Im still out an administrative fee unfortunately, it is what it is. Be advised they will charge you $25 to set up a unit, and it is non refundable. Its kind of like airline bag fees, and why some people dont check bags to avoid more costs that should be included already. Costs of doing business should always be handled via the monthly rental fee or purchase price, not additional charges.I still would advise not to rent before you are 100% sure you need the unit.Getting the refund was a bit of a hassle, and it took writing a bad review before they would do it. The other issue is that the store was not able to match the online web prices either when changing units. Just be sure you get what you need the first time.Otherwise, the units are nice and the facility itself is great. The place is clean and theres no damage from weather that I saw. I would consider renting from Metro in the future as their service is has been great otherwise.

Metro was great, and Karen in Mundelein was so awesome. My mom started with three units, moving from a home to an apartment, and then whittled down to two and one. When Mom died, Karen and Nancy really took care of us as we went through the process of picking through everything to close out the unit, and we even got help there. The facility was clean at all times, and everything we needed was right there. We’d go back in a minute. Thanks, Karen & Metro!

Quick shout out to Nancy & the crew on Midlothian rd! They made our experience an excellent one! We used their 10x10 storage room for our overflow while living in a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 years. It was just what we needed to keep our valuables safe. I really liked that the place was air conditioned, free of humidity, & always clean. The trolleys were extremely helpful when loading & unloading big items too. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a bit more storage room! Decent pricing too!

The facility is extremely clean! The staff is incredible. Nancy helped me with the original signing a few months ago and she helped me again today when I moved out. Using Metro Self Storage in Mundelein was the best decision we made for our moving logistics. The price was right, the facility was great, and Nancy and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating! Highly recommend!

While the staff is amazing and great to work with, watch out for corporate. After having my unit for nearly 2 years now, I went online to pay my bill, just to see that my monthly rent was increased. No communication via mail/email/phone. As a consumer I should have the right to decide if I want to move forward with the increased rate or have an opportunity to remove my belongings. This was, to me, a very poor move on their part. Especially given the tough economic impacts we are all facing. Shame on Metro Srorage. I will be shopping for other options and encouraging the 3 referrals I brought there to do the same.

I worked with Nancy to secure a storage unit and it was a breeze! My wife and I are getting ready to stage our place for sale and needed to make some extra room in the house for showings and such. We discussed with Nancy what we were storing and what size units were available to meet our needs. She was very helpful and patient as my wife and I decided. 10/10 would recommend! Karen, the manager is amazing. She was so nice, welcoming, and my son was not scared of her like our previous facility. She went out of her way to help us. She is the best!!!!!. I have used many storage facilities and she may be the best site manager I have experienced. We love the coffee and hot chocolate also.

Great storage facility with even better people! Nancy is the sweetest person! We originally had one unit and then opted for two units. Nancy has been the absolute best!! The facility is newer. It is climate control, which for us was a must. Like other places, you have 24/7 access with your credentials. You also access to online billing. There are 2 elevators and 2 drive up bays. Highly highly recommend this storage facility.
