Dan did my tattoo and he did a fantastic job! I absolutely love my nurse owl ❤ The environment here is very relaxed and they were able to get me an appointment relatively quick! I would definitely recommend Dan, although all of the artists here have a great portfolio of work. My husband and I are planning more tattoos here in the future 😊

My daughter wanted second earlobe piercing/cartilage piercing done for when she turned 14. I also wanted ear cartilage piercing. Irish is the best! He was gentle and explained how to care for the piercings in great detail. My daughter is beyond happy and we love our piercings. I like Straight Edge; havent been tattooed there but have talked to a couple artists that were really cool, gave great info, were just too booked up for what and when I needed.I have been pierced there the piercer is pretty gruff seeming (at least was with me) but very obviously knew what he was doing really well, explained all the important details, and when we finished and got to taking about aftercare he seemed like he really cared. Id definitely get pierced there again, and would be confident getting tattooed also after talking to the specific artist (they have several), except that Im super happy with the artist I ended up going to for 2 pretty big pieces.

Just before covid closed everything down, I walked in and asked if they could do an industrial piercing. Within 15 minutes I was in a chair and getting prepped for a piercing with Irish. He did everything quick and precise, all done within a few minutes. I did end up blacking out for a few seconds because I made the mistake of not eating before going in, but Irish stayed very professional and made sure I was okay before letting me leave the parlor. Now 2.5 months later and its all healed up! Looks great and I love being able to switch it out with different bars depending on how I feel that day. Thanks again for a great first piercing experience!

My piercer SIGHED at me when I told him what I wanted pierced. And I didn’t feel very welcome here. I’ve had to change the jewelry on both my piercings early, because they weren’t healing well. probably due to being pierced with poor quality jewelry seems how now that I’ve changed them, they are doing much better. Will not be returning. Also they only take cash FYI to everyone.

Me and my sister went to get the helix peircing. They got us in almost as soon as we got there. I was super nervous about it, but the guy who did it, Irish, was very professional about it. Do not recommend for a walk in. Was told it would be maybe an hour wait. That there was only 3 small tattoos before us. Two hours later we were still waiting and they let a 4th person get one. They never talked to us after signing in.Response from owner:Sorry you feel this way. Hope you have more patience for the next time you go to a tattoo shop as a walk-in.My response to the owner: Waiting for 2 hours after being told that it may be only an hour wait is having a lot of patience. I hope you communicate to your customers better instead of back there chatting away. We would have stayed if you would have came and said that he was cleaning up and about to start us.

Got my nose pierced by Irish, it looks really good and he did a great job.

I got my lip pierced there a few months ago. I got my vertical labret and it healed amazingly. the piercer, I think his name was irish(?), was amazing. he triple checked the mark he made on my lip and made sure I was good with it. very quick process. I will definitely be coming back for my future piercings.

Had a little mishap with scheduling, but the staff fixed it and made sure I was happy!

I went to get a septum piercing, called before and asked specifically if i needed to make an appointment. They told me to just come an sign in. I get there but there was no piercer at the moment and there was about 5 people before me and 3 more signed in after me. I sat there about 15 mins and still didnt get any interaction soo i called another place that got me in right away and it was $20 cheaper!....oh Straight Edge ended up calling about an hour later and said they were ready for me.Of course people get a break but maybe thats why you guys should make appts. Nobody wants to wait there for an hour and a half.

Amber was amazing when my best friend got her tattoo. She explained everything and was very precious and diligent in her work. She was very friendly and her work is amazing. Would HIGHLY recommend. The shop was clean and neat. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.

Definitely a great place to get a piercing or a tattoo. I had my navel pierced here in 2011, and the shop is very clean, the staff is knowledgeable, uses the correct jewelry, and my piercing healed perfectly with no problems. I was so impressed that 4 years later I returned to get my first tattoo. The artist (Cain) made sure that my tattoo was the exact font I wanted, that the placement was perfect, and walked me through the whole process. He was very patient and made sure I understood the aftercare instructions and my tattoo healed perfectly. My tattoo looks great and Im so glad I chose this shop. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing.

Irish has given me 7 ear piercings over the last 3 or 4 years and I have to say that this is probably one of the best piercing shops around. I love how thorough and professional he is. He always makes sure you like the placement, you are feeling okay, and that you know how to properly take care of your piercing. The studio is very clean and everything he does is extremely sanitary. I have never had a single problem with any of my ear piercings (tragus, rook, conch, and 4 helix). I highly recommend Straight Edge.

Ryan is amazing. Typically gentle and tattoo do not fit in the same sentence, but it did with him. He did a superior job and took all my concerns into consideration. A true gentleman and artist. Cant say enough positive things about the whole place.

Irish pierced my navel about a year ago - it had been pierced roughly 4 years prior by a tattoo shop in Nashville. The original piercing became infected and caused a blood blister. I took it out with hopes of having it re-pierced. I looked up this shop and decided to give it a go. Irish was super informative and answered all my questions. The process was quick, easy, and nearly painless. He had plenty of navel rings to choose from (unlike the original shop I went to), and the cost was cheap for good quality piercing. Y’all go see him - you won’t regret it!

I stopped in to get a navel piercing. The staff was very helpful and informative. They gladly answered all of my questions. My visit was quick with zero hassle. When I left they equipped me with a paper that had aftercare instructions and a phone number for additional questions and concerns. Just finished both tattoos, one on each arm. All the artists are awesome. Dan is the man. Greeted each time as I walked in, so not sure about other reviews. My best advice is to experience for yourself and you wont be disappointed.

This review is for Michael at the shop. Michael was kind of enough to help with designing my tattoo. He made it clear how it will turn out if its done a certain way. This showed that he knew what he was talking about. We got it set up for the next day. When I got there the next day, Michael had already drawn up the tattoo to make sure it would fit perfectly. Michael was precise about how he tattooed it. He also was very conversational while being professional. When he got done, I was more than happy with the results. I recommend this place! Michael and the other professionals were great!

Chris is an awesome artist, he took my vision and made it come to life. And a shout out to Cheri for keeping him in line.

I got a simple tattoo on my forearm and all it took was maybe 40 minutes from the start of the artist drawing it to it being on my arm! Fantastic job! Id definitely recommend this place!

Cane did an excellent job. I got a scroll with a whole bunch of words. He drew up the scroll and he picked out a font that he saw appropriate and he hit a home run with it. Highly recommend

Amber was my artist for my first tattoo, she did an awesome piece on my back. I wish I could give straight edge five stars, but the front desk guys would be so rude?? Like I wasn’t familiar with the system they had there, let alone getting a tattoo. But after getting the tattoo they were all nice, like I had to earn their respect or something. Kinda weird. But I would still definitely recommend Amber, she’s great!

Wanted to do a walk in to get a double conch piercing. Upon walking up to the counter I received an immediate sigh from a man who clearly did not want to be there. After asking what I wanted done, I explained the piercing I was hoping for. He immediately sighed again along with a “really? A double conch?” After saying “yes, that is the piercing I would like”, I received another sigh and an incredulous “how old are you anyway”. I am nineteen, and have had both ear piercings and a tattoo done before. If ever a piercer has had concerns about a piercing I want or a location, they explain to me the issue and why it might not be a good idea, and then we together decide if that is a good decision. After telling him my age, he shoved a form asked me and again asked with a haughty tone if that was really what I wanted. I left right then and there. As someone who works in customer service, if I were to treat a customer in that manner I would be fired. He clearly did not want to do his job, and I was made so uncomfortable and offended I left. I can understand an experienced piercer having a concern over a certain peircing or having reservations, but nothing about that was explained only judged haughtily. I highly recommend finding another establishment for any/all piercings because I would not trust this man near me with a needle ever.

Went in for a took peircing today. The piercer Irish was really cool. He was easy going and laid back, answered all my questions and shared extra information I found to be valuable. The piercing was easy, really almost painless. He showed me their titanium atomizer and let me know if I decide I want to change my piece and make a cool color they can do that on site at a very reasonable price. It was really cool and a good experience over all. Will absolutely be back.

Irish did my septum. It was quick and damn near painless ( clamps ). And he was awesome when I requested a larger gauge and searched until he found it. Oh how I enjoyed being his pin cushion for the moment. Thanks for helping me further disappoint society. 😘

Michael at Straight Edge Tattoo is one of my favorite artists in TN. He has done my past 9 tattoos. He makes sure the placement/sizing of my tattoos are perfect every single time and up to my standards. Hes very easy going and makes the experience comfortable as well as fun. First off i would like to say that Will Harper is a piercing guy, NOT a tattoo guy as stated below by that little harpy.Second of all, the tattoo shop itself is VERY clean. Every needle is individually sealed in tight medical looking packaging. Every part of the tattoo gun is sealed in packaging and VERY clean for each individual client. Each artist not only uses a pair of medical grade latex gloves...I saw my tattoo guy Will Wood change his gloves at least 3 times during my 2 hour session. I would HAPPILY recommend this shop and especially Will Wood for all your tattooing needs. I had my first experience getting a tattoo just 3 days ago. The whole shop made me feel very comfortable, safe, and understood. Will Wood went out of his way with my tattoo idea, and designed the MOST realistic giraffe tattoo I have ever seen. Here is the most important part....... The most important part of your tattoo experience....ALWAYS listen to the cleaning rules and instructions your tattoo artist gives you. If you have questions, call them and do not ask someone who does not know what they are talking about. I was instructed very clearly on taking care of my tattoo, and it is already healing after just 3 days. Little pain, small scabs, but that is it. I have had ink for 13 years, but it wasnt until I had my first tattoo with Chris that I actually could say that I had ART etched into my skin. He covered four tattoos on my neck with a beautiful piece, and you cant even tell anything else was ever there. Since then I have had two other pieces done and couldnt be happier. My latest work genuinely looks like a portrait that should be displayed for everyone to see. The detail work is amazing, Chris makes wildlife look real. ( wildlife is just my preference) I will be getting more work done very soon. Anyone looking for new ink I highly recommend Chris, he reserves the right to call himself an artist. He does not just lay ink he is definitely a visionary and master of his domain.

This was my first time getting a professional piercing (Ive pierced myself all other times). They were extremely nice and explained everything thoroughly to me! The guy that pierced my lip was very kind and answered all questions I had. I asked about how to become a professional body piercer (because thats what I want to do) and he helped me out a lot with that. So, all in all, I had a very very good experience and completely recommend this place!! I WILL be returning for my tongue piercing and future tattoos!!!!

I read the reviews of all nearby Murfreesboro tattoo shops and this one had the best, and from my experience, I can see why. Had my nose pierced here last night by Irish. 100% positive experience. The place is a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside, and it was all clean and the guys working there were all nice and friendly. Irish talked me through everything and I have NO problems with my piercing. Everyone that has seen it loves it. My tat and other piercings came from places in Dallas before I moved here, so I cant speak for the tattoos, but as far as the piercings go, this one has been superb and the price was less expensive than Nashville. Love it!

Cain has done all of my tattoos for two years now except for my very first two. I travel all the way from Nashville to Murfreesboro to keep going to him. All the guys that work there are super down to earth, and fair with pricing. All the work Ive seen is incredibly well planned and executed. Will, the shop piercer, orders all the septum jewelry I need and makes sure to give me the best quality and price. Love those guys. As long as I live in TN, Ill continue to go here!

My experience here was great. I went in for my first piercing (other than ears) and watched to make sure it was a clean procedure and single use needle. My nose ring looks awesome and Im really happy with it.

I went in and spoke with 2 artists about of couple of pieces I was interested in. One was the size of a quarter and the other was and add on to a piece I already have. The guys wanted to charge me 100 bucks just to rough draft the quarter size drawing. And then another 100 just to draw it. Ive gotten tats before. One of them covers almost my entire back and I was not charged for a rough draft drawing. Just for the hours in the chair. It really blew my mind and was just bad service all around.

I walked in and asked for Dan, who I had been recommended to beforehand, and I had an amazing experience. It was my first tattoo and he was so helpful. I am so pleased with my tattoo and I would highly recommend him!

Ive been tattooed by Will Wood twice so far, and Im going back in less than two weeks for another! He is no doubt the best artist Ive ever been tattooed by, and took care of any questions I had along the way and after my tattoos healed. If youre doubting the quality of his work, just go by the shop and check out his portfolios - hes awesome and you wont be disappointed!

Could use some work on the customer service side. The tattoo artist was late for work, then decided she wanted to take a smoke break and play on her phone for another 10 min. After finally going back inside, waiting another 5 min to finally get called back. 40 min after original start time, we get started. Its a business, you should probably work on priorities. Just saying.

Irish, the piercer acts like his job is an inconvenience. If you have questions, don’t expect them to be answered and if they are, a very poor attitude will be followed. I was nervous about getting my tragus pierced and he didn’t walk me through anything. The needle and jewelry that he used was extremely oversized (and ugly at that) He was so rough with everything, pulling on my ear and shoving the jewelry though. It’s been a week and the whole left side of my face is extremely swollen and in intense pain. I went with my friend and her piercing Is doing the same thing. They are cheap and you certainly get what you pay for. I highly recommend going to Chrome Halo for piercings, they are right down the road. Great price and professional, quick piercings with little to no pain and a quick recovery.
