Very highly recommend!! They were very friendly, trust worthy, and fixed my rising lawn mower in an affordable and timely manner. Will definitely go back for all maintenance and service needs!
Friendly service. I bit disappointed they charged me for a half hour work for something that took less than 5 minutes to fix.
I pickup my tune up parts there for my old Trimmer. They Have a great selection of great looking Zero Turns too. Helpful if need to ask about their Mowers and Trimmers.
Great place! Very friendly and knowledgeable, Bill was great sold me a brand new Bobcat zero turn mower very well built makes my Husqvarna look like an old tin can which it is
Very helpful and friendly. Reasonable prices, they know their stuff
Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Theres a reason why Hoopers have been in business for years and will continue to be in business for many years to come! That reason is customer service and satisfaction and Hoppers have surrounded themselves with employees that understand that.I bought a new Bobcat Mower this past week and I have to say that my salesman Bill understood the process understanding the wants and needs of the customer!Bill had a vast knowledge in the mower I decided to purchase and was a great help from the choosing of a mower, the understanding of the mower along with operation and service. Bill was able to answer all questions, and able to explain everything in detail. Bill also did a walk around inspection of the mower with me pointing out fluid levels and how to check everything then took the mower to check all tires for correct air pressure before handing me the keys. All this information is in the owners manual also, but to have a salesman who took his time to do such a thorough job of explaining the mower to me is why Hoopers will continue to be in business long after competitors ave closed and moved on.Thank you Hoopers, and especially Bill!
Good parts department
Was looking for a local place to take my riding mower that needed repair, but I had taken my equipment to a few places in the past and had very bad experiences. I had never been to Hooper Power Equipment, but decided to give them a shot. When I called the service tech was very professional and courteous. They told me it would take 2-3 weeks as they were busy and that was not a problem for me. The service tech called me just a few days later explaining in detail what they needed to do and quoted a fair price. When they called to tell me it was ready, he told me that they went ahead and made a couple other smaller repairs while they had it apart, but told me they would just cover the costs. The final price he gave me was very fair. When I picked it up, I drove around back and the actual repair techs were equally as professional. Without hesitating, the tech told me he wanted to clean the battery terminals and battery as he had meant to do it a couple days before. This was an extra and unexpected service, but I appreciated his concern to go above and beyond. Hooper Equipment works on other equipment as well and I will be bringing my saws, mowers, and tiller here anytime repairs are needed. I would highly recommend this company if you want fair, honest, and good quality work done.
Took my mower in for servicing and check up. Mower was in for about 2 weeks but I knew it was peak season and Im not commercial. Friendly atmosphere. Servicing and hydro repair were great. Old mower runs like a new one now. Will not hesitate to take back next time.
Nice friendly people. Great service.
Another great place to do business.
I would be being respectable and nice to say that Hooper Power Equipment was the worst experience i ever have had to deal with when it comes to any mower shop, from the small run down shops to the large ones. I have had my mower in there shop for over two weeks, i was told by the owner that it would be looked at no less than two weeks. So i proceeded too call them after the two weeks and instead of at least a diagnosis, i got put on hold for twelve min and then told that not only has my mower not been looked at but that other mowers that have come in after my mower are more of a priority. So long story short unless you have purchased a mower or product from them, i would stay far away from this place because it seems to be that all they are concerned is there products.
Alley took great care of us. Jumped through some hoops to even find the part we needed.
I got great service and information from the personnel at the feed store. Nice people there. Thanks
Nice show room. Clean, friendly service. Prices are about the same for lawn mower and yard tools. I will go back for my repairs, and new equipment.
The person that waited on me was very courteous.
Friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff that was able to provide the parts and advice I needed.
Bought a new skag mower here a few years ago. Always buy most of my farm needs here as well. Good local people.
I love this mom and pop shop. They fix my mowers
Great family business, customer service the way it should be. Very helpful and the actually know what they are talking about.
Very good and old store. Thats why its the only place I buy my lawn stuff from. They know what they are doing period.
I purchased my first big mower through this dealership. Customer service was great when I was purchasing a new mower, however, when it came to warranty issues and customer service afterwards, I always felt as if I was just a bother to them. They never replaced a single thing under warranty, I had a solenoid go out...nope, my deck release broke...took several conversations of them accusing me of abuse prior to even looking at it! I take it in for a winter service and I am told that all my spindles, 2 of 3 deck pulleys, and 2 hydro pulleys are bad. Also that I need new belts all the way around and a new tire. The belts and tires were fine but all the pulleys and spindles!?? And within my warranty limit? (Side note: warranty was good for three years or 500 hours, three years is in 4 months from now and I turned it with 491 hrs...suspicously, when I go to pick it up, it has 503.2 hours!!! Just enough to void warranty! They claim that they accidentally left the key on) Anyways, they were going to charge over $650 in labor to do this!!! For a winter service and to fix everything it was going to be $1048 plus tax. I said no and I also said I would NEVER be back in to do business with them. So I go to Chiltons in Nashville...they couldnt get it fixed under warranty because of the hour limit (thanks Hooper) but at least they tried and went up to bat for me. Also, they gave me honest alternative routes. The service man told me how to fix it on my own and said the spindles can be easily repaired with bearings (while Hooper told me I had no choice but to buy three new spindles). Long story short, I was able to buy all new parts (6 bearings to rebuild spindles, 3 deck idler pulleys, 2 hydro idler pulleys, deck belt, and hyrdro pump drive belt) for $239.15. I decided to do it myself after Chiltons told me how to do it, however if I would have went through them, the entire price (labor and all) for the exact same thing Hooper was going to do was $563.12. Thats almost $500 cheaper!!! Not only did hooper tell me I had no other options they told me I had to do it otherwise my machine would be unusable. Chiltons on the the other, talked with me for 30+ min on different options and different routes we could take. I decided not to have them do the work because I figured I could do it myself, but even if I did have them do it, it was still about $500 cheaper than Hooper. Here is point of the review, dont go to Hooper, they only treat you well when they get a big ticket sale. They fight you on warranty issues and dance around the problems you bring up and then claim they are known for great service!? If you own a scag, MAKE THE DRIVE TO CHILTONS! The customer service is great and they will make you feel you are valued even in the little things like warranty issues and general questions. I have enjoyed my experience there so much that I will purchasing a new Tiger Cat 2 this year from them (they have even got the price $1000 cheaper than anywhere else! I have also looked into used models and some are even priced higher than the brand new one I will be getting at Chiltons) On top of that, they are a pro gold dealer and have almost any part you need in store! Hooper will never have my business again and hopefully this review is enough to show that you should stay clear.
Got a pipeline to go under the driveway. They even cut it for me. Nice people good service.
Knowledgeable, friendly and carry a great selection of parts, if I need any repair work to a small engine performed I rely on these guys.
Had a Troy Bilt Super Bronoc that snapped a connection rod. I just did not have time to fix it my self so took the easy out to have Hooper look at it. This is what I got. Charged for pick up and delivery when their site claims free pick up and delivery within 10 miles. I am approx 9 miles. They checked the compression and stated that not worth fixing and would gladly dispose of it for me. Told them thanks but return the mower. Got the mower back minus the key and battery (Which they told me was bad when it was less then a year old.). So am out $136. The connecting rod cost me $26 and a weekend to repair myself. So no would not recommend Hooper Power.
Great place. Very friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff. Quick service. Fair prices.
If. you need part. Or a lonemore they have it
Great great
Needed my riding mower fixed. They got me ready quickly and ready to cut grass.
Beware! Mysoginist crooks!!!!! The first time this spring my wife tried to mow as I just had surgery and couldnt get outside much, and neither the riding lawnmower nor the walk behind would start. I replaced the spark plug and cleaned the carb on the pushmower, still wouldnt work. My wife took in both mowers to get them fixed. 2 weeks later Hoopers called and said the pushmowers spark plug was fouled and the carb was dirty, and it would cost $130 to fix it!!!!! She said that was too expensive, the old mower wasnt worth that, and we would come take it away. Hoopers said that there would be a $40diagnostic fee, but they would waive it if she would give the mower to them to use as parts. By this time I was up to limited mobility, and went in and picked up the mower. I took off the top cover and found a nest blocking the shut off lever. If Hoopers had actually looked at it they would have found it and not tried to take advantage of my wife.Fearing something similar would happen to our JD, she went into town and picked it up. My wife is a 100% combat disabled vet, and she threw on her OIF ballcap when she drove in. The man at the counter said, Oh, so youre a vet, I am a VIETNAM vet (even though he was clearly to young to be one), then turned his back on her and started talking to someone else in the store. She loaded up the JD and came home. I will never ever use this crooked place again. The way my wife was treated was totally horrible.
Great service. Will not go anywhere else.
