My wife and I took our Rogue in there for all four brake pads and rotors - painless experience. High quality service, knowledgeable and professional staff and they worked quickly. I wasn’t in any hurry but, dropped off our car at 10 and was called back at 1 or 2 to come pick ‘er up. Allen was particularly pleasant in my interactions with him. Lastly, it was nice to see faces again in a place of business. Breath of fresh air! Keep up the great work and we will definitely be back when needs arise!

We’ve used Muskego Tire and Auto for approximately 10-12 years. Let me start by saying the folks up front are very friendly, that’s never been an issue. We’ve had serviced: 2 Honda Odyssey’s(2007 and 2016), a 2008 Saturn, a 2015 Nissan Murano, a 2012 VW CC Sport, and most recently a 2013 Hyundai Tucsan. We are not mechanics. We choose to find a trustworthy place and let those people guide us on the servicing of our vehicles.Taking into consideration the MANY thousands of dollars that we’ve spent at Muskego Tire and Auto over the years, a recent experience makes us feel VERY strongly that we have severely overpaid.We brought in our recently purchased 2013 Hyundai Tucsan to Muskego Tire for tire pressure loss issue + unknown noise heard by our 20 year old daughter. They advised that the rear brakes had only 5% life left, also that we needed new calipers. They quoted us approx. $850 for new rear brake pads and calipers. Seeing as how we had just purchased the vehicle from Boucher dealership in Waukesha less than a month earlier, we took it back to Boucher. Boucher took videos to prove that our rear brakes were at 7mm. Not even close to 95% worn, in fact they had 60-70% life left on them. New brake pads begin in the 10mm-12mm range. Muskego Tire had little answer as to why they would have quoted us $850 to fix good brakes and calipers only to point out that our rotors were rusted. To top things off, the tire pressure “fix” done by Muskego Tire turned out to be not a “fix” at all. The tire pressure light went on 4-5 days later, the PSI dropped again down to 30 PSI. This is not the first job we’ve had go wrong either. We researched new places and took it in to a new place (Tess Corners Auto). Our problem was resolved first crack. Tess Corners said the fix was very normal. I spoke in-depth with the folks at Tess Corners. They not only have my business, but my children’s business, and I’ll recommend them to anyone else that asks.

Paid way to much, im on a fixed income. Got breaks rear calipers and roters and an oil change almost 760. 00 got breaks done and same thing but front. Tire rotation all around and alignment, plus.. Front inner and outer tie rods. And a boot. For half what they wanted to charge just for the rear brakes. Also they said my front brakes were inspected that it shakes when breaking on freeway. So no i wont be back there again. And wouldnt recomend them my family or friends..

Great service. I am only giving one star because of lack of masking. None of the staff wearing masks. One of the employees came to talk to a customer who was masked (emploee was not) and no social distancing. I would not have stayed as it was very uncomfortable, but I needed emission testing.

On one of the coldest days of they year my new car showed a tire warning for low pressure. I assumed it was the cold but wanted to just make sure. I stopped in to ask a few questions. They went above and beyond. They ended up taking my car in the garage checking the tires and filling them so I wouldn’t have to in the cold. Very professional.

They called me right away and since I work down the street, the offered to give me a ride back while they looked my car over and gave me an estimate of the repair price before I left to know what to expect. A few years back, these guys really came through for me in a number of different ways when I was in a jam. Why post about it now, years later? Reasonable pricing, good service. It does seem whenever I go I cant get out in less than 45 minutes for just an oil change no matter how busy they are. Seems to me it would make sense to have one guy set up for in and out oil change business. Prefer to keep my business here as Im local but most oil change places can get you in and out in 15 minutes or so. They do a good job getting me in and out for emissions testing though.

The good: Muskego Tire and Auto is a great place if youre looking for an oil change. They have always been able to squeeze me in same day or next day, and even give me a ride back to work across town while they worked on my car. Nice guys who seem to have a passion for cars! They also gave me a really nice above and beyond heads up review of the car before I left every time- EX: Keep an eye on those back struts, as they may be something that needs to be replaced within the next year. If youd like to wait at the service center, they have a nice waiting area that is kept clean and has some very interesting relics/antiques around the shop to view too! A nice facility with a lot of character.The bad: My car had 4 check engine/warning lights on, and it was $100 for them just to hook it up to the diagnostic machine to tell me what was wrong. (Lesson learned on this: take your car to Auto Zone, and have them read the codes for free.) Muskego Tire & Auto diagnosed it as needing a new gas cap- my total bill was $150.A few days later the same lights came on, I took it back in to them to diagnose again (they did diagnose it for free this time), after paying for my new $150 gas cap a few days prior. They said the charcoal canister needed repair, and it would be a little over $1000.I took my car across town to a different shop, and had the issue repaired for $550- nearly half the price of what they quoted me. This winter I also had my front struts replaced by Muskego Tire and Auto for a little over $1000. Im all for paying a little more for outstanding service, but I just cant swing paying double the price of a different place with the same level of service. Unfortunately, I have heard similar situations from colleagues, and I left feeling duped.

After we blew a tire on our camper on our way home from Michigan we noticed we had another bad tire and we called over 20 places to help us and get tires put on so we could get back home. The owner went above and beyond to go to the warehouse to get us 4 new tires and put them on for us so we could get home. The service was excellent and they were all friendly and wonderful. Thanks to them we were able to get home safe. We would drive back there 2 1/2 hours from home to get tires from them that’s how great they were. Thank you again!!

Emissions test was quick and easy

Keith and his team are outstanding. They hand mounted tires on my 1935 Ford wheels when other shops declined. They were happy to do it. This shop is a really cool place to visit as well. The lobby is filled with antiques and vintage Americana. I highly recommend this shop.

Went to the New Berlin location for last 5 years. With that location closing, started going to Muskegon. In my couple of visits I have been greeted warmly and have received great service.

Amazing to work with! Had a nail in my tire going to work yesterday in Menomonee Falls, and every place I called between there and Muskego could maybe possibly fit me in. MTA was able to fit.me in first thing in the morning, no appointment!

STAY AWAY! Took a 2009 Traverse in with multiple codes for diagnosis and repair. Gave them all the codes but they didn’t take them and said they needed to do their own diagnosis and charge me.The owner (Keith) calls back personally and said that I needed a new engine, water pump and other parts. Cost would be $8,000. Claimed to have personally talked to the local Chevy dealer and district manager. Keith says he was told this is a common problem and that Chevy usually has new engines in stock but didn’t have any at the time. He also suggested a $4k option not guaranteed to fix the problem. I declined both options.I went to the Chevy dealer myself the next day and repeated the convo with Keith to the service manager and advisor.Nobody at Chevy recalled talking with Keith. (Strike 1).Chevy doesn’t keep engines in stock and the repair didn’t call for an engine replacement (Strike 2)Their estimate was less than $4k and didn’t involve a new engine and water pump. A factory extended warranty for a recall repair brought my cost down to less than $2k. (Strike 3)Draw your own conclusions about honesty, integrity, and ability.

Fast, friendly service (emissions test).

Unless you have 3 hours to waste, this is not the place for you. I was told it would take about 1 hour to put 4 tires on my vehicles. After 2 hours they said I needed a slight adjustment on an alignment which would take about 20 minutes . An hour later my truck was finally done. I would have been better off going to Walgreens.. Good Luck!!!!!!!!

Great car inspection

I had 2 tires put on my car, I specifically said not to torque the tires TOO tight. When I got home I wanted to check go to see how tight they were. Guess what, so tight I needed a breaker bar to loosen it. The reason why I dont want them so tight, is what if I have a flat tire?

I got a flat and then had issues with getting a tow. I let these guys know my situation and they said theyd stick around to help me out. I got there 25 minutes after their scheduled hours of operation and they mounted and balanced 4 tires for me because mine were all cracked so I could make my 40 mile drive home. thanks guys!

So I used to like coming here but every single time I come for the simplest thing that I just dont feel like dealing with it takes forever and I mean forever hour and a half and counting for a tire patch. As someone that was a customer thats brought in 4 of my cars idk I just am used to better service I guess like I said I used to always bring my cars in now Ill bring them in if I cant make it to the next shop.

Takes forever just to get a tire fixed . I bought tires here and they are only lasting half the distance of milage expectancy. They always tell me I need extra things done and try to say that is why the tires are wearing. Will not buy tires here again. I dont have the time to waste waiting.

Rude and no one wearing masks

I try to stay loyal and local but the last 2 experiences have been a joke.2hrs for a oil change a wiper blade replacements.They did however not charge me for one of them.Arrived at 7:15 am today.I was early.John (who does not have great customer service skills)...let us in.He takes our info and informs us his staff was yet in.Kept saying they would get to it when they arrived.*They are lateSeems to be a trend today because his other staff member due at 8am was over 20 minutes late.Why do I know this,Because I have been sitting here for a 1hr and 11 minutes for a oil change.I also noticed how filthy this place is dust and debris on the floor, bathroom gross.If your going to make us sit for over a hour for a simple oil change you could at least have some good coffee.

Visit #1- Needed an alignment. Guys found my truck had 2 broken struts. $800 to fix. Did it myself in under 4 hours for $160.Visit #2- Went back to get the alignment. They said the lower ball joints were shot and therefore an alignment could not be done. Not to worry, they said, they had another $800 quote lined up for me. I dont doubt the ball joints are bad, but these quotes are outrageous. The ball joints are $60 each at autozone. That means they want $137/hour for labor. I can do it myself for under $200.There is a huge difference between charging a bit extra for some specialized service(s) and overcharging because some people do not have the skills/resources/time necessary to perform the job. In my mind, this is a simple case of GREED. I will be posting this everywhere I possibly can. Avoid this place at all costs.

I have been going to Firestone in Muskego for several years since my warranty was over on my SUV. I have had great service every time I brought my vehicle in. The last visit a few weeks ago they gave me a credit on the final cost and only charged me for the estimated cost to fix my SUV. Not only that but the owner gave me a ride to my home when I dropped off my vehicle for service and picked me up when my car was ready (I live close to them). I only go to Firestone in Muskego for all of my oil changes and work that is needed on my vehicle. In the past when I visited my dealership for warranty work they kept trying to sell me services that were not needed. They do not do this at Firestone in Muskego.

I called in today and spoke to Mark. I was trying to fix my brakes and a wheel was rusted in place. I asked if he could help me with it and he instructed me on how to get it unstuck myself. Five minutes later my problems were solved and I didnt even need to take my car in! Very helpful!

Went in for a standard oil change that took almost 2 hrs! The service tech or writer never informed me about what was going on. I had to go up to them and ask what the problem was. When I asked whats taking so long the writer responded with the $8.50 drain plug was stripped. Being a former mechanic, I know it doesnt take 2 hrs to fix that and drain plugs dont cost $8.50!! I have heard from other people that a lot of Firestone businesses try to up sell their customers into things that dont really need to be done. The kicker about this whole experience is the service writer acted like this was perfectly normal and never even bothered to apologize for the problem or the 2 hr wait. Obviously customer service is not a high priority when just in for small service on your vehicle. My advice is.... Beware!!

Not good, I took my car in for a transmission drain and refill and they charged me over 100.00 dollars for 5 quarts of transmission fluid and just draining and refilling. I went back in to talk with them and they tried to explain some BS story. He could not even find the proper application for this procedure in their computer. I have been in the industry for over 25 years and it was my fault for bringing my car to them. I will never set foot in this mickey mouse place again.Their honesty needs to be checked, like all car repair places, they are the same. If you need your car repaired, stick with the dealer OEM brand, and please stay away from this rip-off location. These places hopefully will start to die off as vehicles get more complex and for this I am grateful.Dan

Contacted Muskego Tire and Auto this past Tuesday 12/26/17. Mark did a great job at researching tires for my SUV, to include Firestone, Bridgestone, and Michelins. He provided complete price packages for all three brands. I went with the Bridgestone Ecopias, an Interstate Battery, and oil change. Mark also found that I needed a rear wheel alignment. Mark got this all done on Tuesday within 3 1/2 hours. The work was done not only in a timely order, but also at a competitive price. Thanks Mark, and keep up the good work!
