DONNA was amazing. I am a browser buyer and I used to work in jewelry. (I’m just one of those.) I walked up to the counter and she offered help, but wasn’t too pushy. My wedding is in October, and I was looking for a band to match my unique engagement ring.She was so excited to show me she had the perfect black diamond band in the 10k white gold I was looking for. I couldn’t find one in store at another jewelry retailer around here, and was ready to order online. I was honestly looking just to look and along came the right one. Kismet? Karma? Whatever happened, happened.She totally brightened my day. During these times, us brides are running into crazy shipping issues and delays and everything. Most employees across the board have understandably lost their drive to help desperate customers. But not DONNA. She was so awesome and renewed my excitement.Thanks, Donna. 💜

Was at jewelry counter first about to get waited on and realized the necklace I was going to buy was discolored. Was told by the person at the counter if I go grab another one real quick she’ll still be there but if not I might have to wait I literally went and grabbed one and came right back and she was just showing someone jewelry and then completely ignored me. When I had been there first and had already been waiting. Dark haired lady with glasses. Rude. Bad customer service. Won’t go back. Their jewelry selection is junk anyway!

Store is clean with good selection of sizes and styles. Clothing is stylish and fresh! Prices are very reasonable for the quality.

They are ok but their plus size section for women is basically old lady clothes. The mens bigger sizes options are nice though.

Great sales! Finally had my daughter pick a pair of jeans she liked (after how many stores?). She also got a long sleeve shirt. Dresses were on sale but she apparently already has enough of them. Better clothing choices than Ive seen in the past. My picky teenage daughter agreed.

Went to Sephora and was able to find what I was looking for without assistance as the worker didnt seem to want to be there. I hate giving JC a review for a store within a store, thats why 4- stars, otherwise itd have been 2 or 3.

JcPenney has a big selection of items for sale. Everything from childrens clothes, adult clothes, make up, childrens toys, bedding, and now appliances. The prices are comparable to other retailers.

I usually buy my regular dress shirts here. The selection is good.

Love the selection they offer, not to mention Sephora.....I could shop here every week!

It wasnt too bad. Funding out the layout of the place was weird to me because this is my first time to this store. If you remember Im still kinda new to the area, and with covid I havent been out and about like I us looking at all they had. Employees helpful. I will probably be back.

Everything was great except Im not much of a girly girl and most of the girl clothes have girly designs. Im just saying its hard to find a simple shirt. I had to buy shirts from the boys section.

Had what I needed, staff could care less about you, dressing rooms were filthy, clothes all over the place, my guess is they were understaffed.

I ordered jewelry for Christmas. I had 2 separate orders, both orders are each missing a jewelry item. I called costumer service and they said it shows that both items were shipped and delivered. I did not receive them. The only thing that they can do is put a report in and then credit my account. I don’t want my account to be credited, I want my money back. I will never order from them again. How does the packaging people not put in items that were paid for, but mark as in on their end. It’s ridiculous.

Im really glad JC Penney went back to having sales, but I wish they had more signage so I would have a better idea of what the clothes cost. I ended up paying less for everything I bought than anticipated, which was nice. The store was clean and laid out well. Cashier was friendly. I left happy.

JC Penney is one of my favorite department stores. Theyve closed all the ones near me in CA. I was pleased to find this one in the Norton Shores mall. Its well stocked. Clothes are organized and arranged well by size. Was easy to find pants in my size without digging through them. Staff was friendly and fast.

No wonder they going bankrupt their clothes are ridiculously overpriced then they put a tag on them that their on clearance then you cant even use coupons on clearance items! How ridiculous!

I had an awesome experience. I went to the Grand Rapids location last week and was totally disappointed. I decided to give this location a try and it was the best decision ever. A big shout out to Beth, (the baby whisperer) she was engaging and patient. She allowed us as much time as we needed to quiet our fussy 6 week old with a reassuring smile on her face. She went as far as to assist us with soothing our bundle of joy. I would recommend everyone to go get the Beth experience when capturing their loved ones image. 🤗 Thank you again Beth, the drive and your professionalism and warmth was well worth it. Went into JCPenney to get haircut. She did a awesome job. Then went to Sephora also part of JCPenney. One of my favorite make up brands was on sale. Not many people in mall not like it used to be when the mall had more stores. But times are changing.

Pretty extensive selection compared to other stores, but the layout of the store isn’t very intuitive. You can spend way too long looking for a particular type of dress shirt (for example), only to discover that there is another section of dress shirts a few sections away, totally out of sight. The store layout just makes very little sense; returns are in the “Home” section, so you may have to wander around confused, then walk all the way to the opposite corner of the store to return an item.Not being able to find things has been a problem for myself and my fiancé too often. Firstly, I bought a tie clip at another location that was broken out of the box, so she went on my behalf to exchange it. After struggling to find the returns at the other end of the store, she was told that she had to go back to the first end of the store and find a new one. She only found a single tie clip on the rack, which wasn’t the same. On another occasion, we spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find just a plain purple dress shirt to match a dress, which we couldn’t find anywhere.You might wonder why we didn’t ask the staff for help; much of the time we can’t find any staff members to ask. On 2 different occasions we finally found someone after looking for too long, but both women seemed to have little interest in helping us. They merely pointed in the general direction of where we might find what we were looking for, then went back to folding clothes. Staff members always seem standoffish; if I have follow-up questions I’m always afraid to ask because of the glares I get, as if I’m some huge inconvenience. The staff members don’t seem to have trouble being chatty amongst themselves about how they are counting the minutes until their shifts are over, however.

It was a beautiful experience especially for my father. Hes never had a JCPenney card so he was pleased with the savings he had received. So was I having a retired associate I love JCPenneys and working for you as well.

Bought an item online and went to pick it up at the store (17 days after the order was placed). When I checked the status online before pick-up I noticed they changed the description of what I ordered which left out a shirt with the Frozen 3 piece set (now online as a 2 piece set). I showed the person at order pick-up the screenshot of what I actually ordered and told them I just wanted the Frozen shirt I bought with the set. They told me they could sell me a shirt for 40% off ( sale was buy one get 1 40% off in store already) I explained I already ordered and paid for a set with a shirt and didnt think I should have to buy one when JCP changed their order online after I bought the item. Poor service. They acted like I was asking for something I wasnt owed from the original order.

I love JcPenny, they have everything here at reasonable prices. This time of the year, everything is on sale. They work really closely with Grand Valley State University on amazing deals for students.

I love this store, its one of the stores we really have to shop at.

There is a reason why JCPenney is the last large store at the mall: it has the biggest selection of so many things you want. Just strolling the store is fun. But they have shoes and clothes you really cant find anywhere else. Plus they have deals all the time. It is a bit pricey most of the time though.

I. Like JCPenny its. Been around forever I hate to see the old stores go out of business. My hubby and I bought their brand ceramic cookware and I love it! We checked out alot of name brands an styles I read good things about the ceramic Ive had them for almost a month theyre great. Theyre brand is called COOK... clean store nice people.

They have some good sales on clothes once and awhile. Usually a better quality selection of clothes than most places around.

I used to live near the salon 5 years ago. I have looked everywhere near me And even as far as Traverse City which is a little bit further than Muskegon is to me. I have not been able to find anyone or place as good as a JCPenney salon at the Lakes Mall, Muskegon. I get a spiral perm and my mother gets the same. We both get our color there. After researching and reading reviews and prices I cannot find any salon that can compare.My stylist is Sherry, she is the one I would recommend. She is the best stylist I have ever had. She is very caring and friendly.The salon does not look like much and their lighting is horrific. They are severely waiting for JCPenney to upgrade their salon, but quality of a salon is not in the surroundings. It is in the experience of the stylists.

It appears as though they have a lot of Levis but they are odd sizes. I wish they had more in stock.
