Best liquor store weve been to in the area by far. It was recommended by a coworker whod visited Myrtle before. They have all your top shelf whiskeys, including rare finds.

The young man (Matt?) who greeted us as we entered was not only friendly, but knowledgeable and informative. Inventory was varied, and he offered his own experience with each one we asked about. Walked out with a very interesting package of Bardstown products. Our best Myrtle Beach shopping experience.

IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS I WOULD.My boyfriend and I went in to see what all they had to offer. As we left, one of the staff members came out to follow us and took a picture of our licenses plate. We went back inside and asked them why, and they accused us of stealing. We were outraged, we also noticed out of everyone, she accused the ONLY minority couple in the store. Every other person in there has purses and bags, but she only accused us. She said she saw a bottle in my bag, WHICH WAS MY WATER BOTTLE. We told her it was wrong of her to accuse us, and she can check all the cameras she wanted, but we didn’t steal a thing. We won’t ever go in there, and we’ll tell everyone about our experience.

We stopped in on a whim, looking for a nice bottle of tequila for a gift (for a margarita lover). The sales clerk was extremely knowledgeable and helped us weed through name vs. quality. We ended up purchasing scotch and wine as well. The clerk did not get frustrated or tired of our plethora of questions. Because they are a distributor, their prices were much better than other stores in the area.

The staff was really helpful. They have a good variety of alcohol, and the wine selection is decent. There are lots of regions represented but I would like to see more selections within the regions. Still, good spot to find something you like.Beer is kept in the back room which requires a separate entrance. Thats kind of annoying, but not their fault. The beer selection when I went was really light. Basics were covered but that was about it. Id get beer someplace else if not a standard choice.

Myrtle Beach is dotted with little stores that sell the very basics of liquor, with all of the standard fares, and nothing noteworthy. Owens, on the other hand, carries the basic but also the higher-ups material, with an extensive selection. And by higher-ups, I mean the very top-shelf. If youre into bourbon, for example, they have various selections of Orphan Barrel, plus the much sought-after Pappys. They also have an outstanding selection of Scotch as well. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. By far, this was the very best establishment I visited in South Carolina. As someone once said, life is too short to drink cheap liquor. Definitely a 5 star establishment.

Good selection, good prices. Never go to an ABC store for liquer when you can save dollars on everything at Owens. If you are up this way a must stop. Only place I know that may be better is Greens and need to use cash there to get bigger discounts. I actually shop at both. I come from PA so the prices are so much cheaper here or at least the same price.

This is the best place to buy wine on the Grand Strand. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. My wife is not a big fan of Red wines. The Owner David recommended a bottle that she would love. He said if she did not like it, he would buy it back. Well, she loved it and is starting to take away from space in my cellar..

For liquor these guys rock. Fantastic selection very knowledgeable and helpful staff. As soon as it gets cold outside I will be in there asking about scotch, bourbon and fine blended whiskey.

Wow, as a craft beer nerd, I was blown away. Lots of top notch hoppy, dark barrel aged, and sour stuff. Travis was very helpful and friendly. I wish I had a store like this in my home town. Tip: beer entrance is on the side.

Ownes is a small store, but they always have what I need. It can be hard to see while driving. My resort is at 82nd street, so they are extremely convenient. The inside is an all wood decor, which makes it look slightly outdated. On my last trip, I talked with the cashier about Old Tennessee Whiskey while he quickly helped me find Firefly infused vodka/tea. The guy seemed knowledgeable about product location and about several different brands.

Although a large selection of wine is available in grocery and other retail stores, Owens Liquors has a very good selection often not found elsewhere at reasonable prices. We were able to find an excellent gewurztraminer here that wasnt available in the groceries (could not find even one gewurztraminer in most supermarkets). Also offered at Owens were some varietal wines from smaller US and foreign vintners that we were not available in other stores.Owens is a great place to shop for wine overall, especially if youre looking for good wine that may not be sold on other store shelves.

Where I always buy my spirits. Great selection of wine and High dollar wines along with liquore and beer. Several guys have worked there for years. Good people.

I knew they had a great selection of wine and spirits but today I found out that their craft beer selection is also top notch. Went specifically for a certain beer. They didnt have it but had many good substitutes. Also Travis went above and beyond to help get the beer back in stock.

A full sized & readily stocked liquor store with competitive prices, but what I stop for mostly is the beer shop around the right side.I shop from Myrtle Beach to Raleigh for craft & import beer, always find something here I have not seen anywhere else. They are CLOSED on Sundays.

Been buying Blantons single barrel bourbon in Myrtle Beach for years for under $70 a fifth and just walked into Owens and they want $149 for it. I realize it’s relatively hard to find but that is price gouging at its best.
