MAKE SURE YOU POSITIVELY VERIFY EXACTLY EXACTLY EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE THEY CUT IT!! And then check again. We asked for “4/0 cable for 12V batteries”, which typically comes with at least 2107+ total inner strands because battery cable needs to be flexible. Everyone and their brother knows this. We were given 4/0 cable, but with only 19 inner strands. Huuuuuge difference. Apparently that’s what you’d use for grounding a commercial building? Or municipal power cable? Most certainly not for wiring 12V batteries in small spaces. We (wrongly) assumed that electrical professionals would know this. The cable is impossible to manipulate or bend, which is a function of its design. It’s solid, high-quality cable for sure (hence 2 stars). But it’s not even remotely close to what we asked for / thought we were getting. Honestly, it’s just very unfortunate and disappointing that they will not accept a return on a mistakenly cut cable. So that’s a couple hundred dollars thrown away. I’m sure they’re knowledgeable professionals, but it would be prudent of anyone trying to do business here to very very very clearly specify and confirm EXACTLY what you’re getting cut, or else risk getting screwed like we did. Needless to say, we’ll just order the right stuff from Amazon. We really try to give our business to local companies, and even drove 45 mins in an effort to do this...but when the local company screws up and won’t work with us to resolve the issue, that doesn’t fly. I guess these guys think they never make mistakes. Maybe it’s a macho or ego thing? I don’t know, but this is just something to keep in mind when you’re choosing who to purchase wire cable from. I hate leaving bad reviews for local businesses, but hopefully our plight & Google Review ramble saves another customer from getting stiffed like we did. (If you’re reading this from Capital Electric and want to resolve this by taking back this cable we didn’t ask for, I’ll happily take you up on that offer. Whomever we spoke with on the phone seemed pretty unwilling to assist though.)
