This was a great experience for the kids. Staff was very friendly and the woman that helped them with building their bears was very personable and entertaining for them. Well definitely visit again when we are back in town.

Hello Build A Bear Myrtle Beach… I was taking my kiddos Julius and Gina trick or treating in the Myrtle Beach Area… They were begging to come to your store, it is their FAVORITE place in the world…. They were so excited to get some candy… Yummy Candy… BUT NO… They were given COLORING BOOK SHEETS?… WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS… JULIUS TRIED TO EAT HIS SHEET… HE THOUGHT IT WAS CANDY… HE IS A BIT SLOW… NOW HE IS THROWING UP IN OUR SECOND FLOOR BATHROOM… DO BETTER BUILD OF BEAR 😡😡😡

This was so much fun! We decided to have a fun girls day and the staff was having just as much fun as everyone else in the store.Line gets really long so I recommend getting their early!

McKinley was amazing! I brought my 10+ year old Rocky Road puppy in to be refluffed and restitched and she brought him back to life! It made my heart smile! 💖

I want to commend the staff for being so excited to make this experience special for the kids. My son is only 8 months old and didnt quite understand what was going on, but even I had fun and Im a grown up! Theres a great selection of bears and other characters, and clothing for every occasion. We really enjoyed our experience and its 100% because of the staff. I didnt catch her name, but the lady with the dreadlocks was so sweet. Thank you to the staff for being so wonderful!!

Theyre so nice. Ive been twice now and the employees were so helpful. Not much of a clothes or scents selection compared to other BABW though.

The staff was great making it an experience for my niece. The store was clean and they were able to get the bear the way my niece wanted. I am only giving it a 4 because they used to give you the box at no charge now you have to pay or get a plastic bag, I think for what they charge we could get it free.

We love build a bear at broadway. Always friendly and smiling faces.

The employees can show some real heart, putting on the act to make the kids smile.But, I cant see paying all this money to take the place of the sweatshop workers companies normally use, just say I built a bear. Or the upcharge for brand-name stuff like marvel.Heres a penguin! 40 bucks! Or whatever it is. Want a mask on it? 70 bucks for this felt!3 stars for the employees and for the kids, overcharging? We usually love build-a-bear. We took our 3 kids to this particular location and we were not very happy. Within the price, it is mostly about the experience for the kids. There was no experience to be had except being ignored. Pretty bummed as it was the first time for our youngest. They did not have a selection of bottoms in the girls section. There was one skirt to go with all the different shirts. No shorts, nothing. If they had it, we certainly could not find it in all the mess. They didnt give us our birth certificates for any of our bears. This location just needs help, they had one person doing mostly everything and she was as nice as she could be while trying to help everyone. We will not return to this one.

Please have your staff undergo diversity training.On 8/9/2021, my 9 months pregnant daughter and my son-in-law took their 3 children in to build a birthday bear.Your associate, who was repeatedly unkind during the transaction, looked at their 7 year-old, who was holding onto my daughter (her mom), and asked “Where is your family?”My granddaughter identifies as African American, while her parents and siblings are White.Thankfully, the children did not realize that the clerk was intentionally being cruel, and that it would appear that based on her behavior, that her personal opinion is that white people should not love and care for brown and black children.Stop this cycle of abuse, there is no room for this behavior in 2021, and especially not in a business that is child-centric.Thank you.

Went today with a 2 year old andbought a bear - we have been previously and it was much more of a getting a new friend experience. I understand covid has forced some restrictions, but the assistant was unenthusiastic and did not interract with the child. The heart ceremony was barely more than which heart do you want?Also, a previous purchase needed its sound box replaced, and the resewing of the seam was poorly done.The kids were happy, the adults not so much.

Went there for my youngest daughters first time. It luckily was not busy at all when we came. Unfortunately the employee who stuffed my childrens animals looked like she would rather be anywhere else than where she was. She overstuffed one and messed up the stiching on the second to the point where they had to cut out the stiching entirely. I didnt know what was wrong at the time as she got up and tossed it to another worker and then moved herself to the other side of the stuffer without a word The cute little heart thing the other employee was doing with another family, and my oldest loved experiencing did not happen with my girls as the women just put the heart in herself. All of this occurred without a word. Honestly regret going here as the experience was kinda ruined.

Worst build a bear experience ever. Understaffed and no flow to the store...everyone was very confused. The manager was all over the place and didnt seem to know what to do. After our animal was stuffed, we noticed there was a hole. Instead of getting a new animal for my daughter, the manager wanted to sew up the damaged spot. She then took it and checked people out for 15 minutes before attempting to fix it. When I told her that I had been waiting, she argued with me about how she was handling the situation. It was horrible...and I have been going to build a bear workshops for 17 years.

Can’t really say anything positive about it.They were really business orientated. Didn’t really care about the experience, what it’s actually about.Then they forgot to put in the beating heart we paid for.Only thing is that they have some extras you may not get at a different location and we got what we wanted.

Great kid friendly atmosphere. Since covid, they dont allow a lot of the interactions with the making of your stuffed animal, BUT that is understandable. Our 5 year old still had a blast!

Staff was AMAZING ans SOOOOOO helpful! I am so thankful the lines were short because I was with two toddlers! They loved their bears and will never forget this experience. I thought the prices were not too expensive but not to cheap either. Three people were stuffing and 2 were at the register. Everyone was so helpful and patient with the toddlers!

I made a gremlin-like creature that seemed to resemble a bunny. I named it Balthazar, and purchased a compatriot for him that I would have dubbed Cthulhu, had I the option to birth him at the designated birthing station. However, this was not in fact permitted, and I was reduced to naming him in spirit alone. Nonetheless, our little character fondly titled Balthazar is sure to live a long, successful life. I wish him luck in his future conquests.
