Went to the range for the first time today. Jim was both my wife and I instructor. He was real knowledgeable and helpful and took time to answer our questions completely and thoroughly. Will definitely return.

Very vulture like, can’t really look around without having someone constantly eyeing you down judgingly and the customer service was quite bad not a good shop. Elite firearms is much better.

Mike helped me so much. I have always had problems pulling back the slide of a pistol, so I only shot revolvers. He set me up with one that I could easily pull and I have it ordered. The price was great too.

Moved to MB in 2018 & planned to make 707 Gun Store my go to place. Got carry permit there & used gun range. However, on every trip to the store (6 visits in 2020) recently I was treated like I was less than human. Other reviewers have used terms for visits such as cold, uninviting, and rude. I agree and would add arrogant. Each time the man sitting behind the counter directly across from the entrance door just sits there with a “what the f do you want” look. The man behind the side counter standing with his arms folded just pointed to the empty wall when I asked if he “had any hunting rifles”. No help & I was ONLY customer in store. Since then I have patronized The Gun Store on 701 & Echo 6 in Aynor, and guess what? They treat their customers like human beings. They even appreciate your business! I will drive a little farther for that.

Got my concealed wepons permit here. Great instructor. Very professional and freindly folks here at this indoor range.I Will be returning.

Great range. Price is fair and the guys are cool. The gunsmith is a super nice guy. Took a shotgun in to add an accessory got it back the next day.

Went to test guns because I wanted to purchase one. They dont have any of the rentals that i shot in stock. Waste of money.

We had a very uncomfortable & uneasy experience in person at the shop. I’m surprised, because I heard so many good things about this place for years. The atmosphere was cold and uninviting. Maybe they were having a bad day. When we went to the Elite or The Gun Store, they treated us so much better. First time in Elite & many times at the Gun Store.

Tried Cormac for an order, they blew me off. I used 707 in the past but moved and was closer to Cormac and a friend recommended me to go there. Gave them several chances on the phone and in person. I was brushed around and blown off.In one phone call to 707 i got my entire issue figured out and ordered my gun to be sent there. One call vs 2 months of attempting at Cormac. This will be another of multiple firearms i’ve gotten with their help. It’s a drive to get there for me now but i’ll use them as often as i can for as much as I am able and I would send any of my closest friends their way as well.707 will always get you sorted out or tell you what they can or even what they can’t do for you. In a crazy time they are a light.

Just an overall unappealing environment. Tried telling my 20 inch rifle needed a tax stamp. Gun shop is ok but don’t waste your time at the range.

Took the conceal carry course here. Instructor was very patient and informative. Explained the course and the process thoroughly.I decided to purchase a concealable semi automatic. I shopped at a major sporting goods store first. With the salesmans help, I picked out a pistol. I would have preferred dual action, but was told that pistols this size only came in single action. Had there not been an issue with my drivers license, I would have purchased the gun anyway.I got my license corrected and decided to go to the 707 Shop. Explained what I was looking for and the salesman reached into the cabinet and handed me the exact same pistol as I had seen at the other place. And then he told me that he could special order this pistol with dual action. I paid for the gun right then and there, and picked up the special order the next day. Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact price. 707 was either $50 cheaper or the same price.Why would I ever go back to the other place for firearms?

Very bad place to shop for guns or ammo. The guy was very rude and displayed a nasty attitude toward his customers. I was on vacation in mertal beach when I decided to buy some ammo and clips for my guns. He deliberately sold me a clip for my gun that did not work with it just to hurry up and get me out of his store. I had the exact clip I needed wrote down on a paper so I would get the correct one. The next day I returned to the 707 gunshop and asked if I could trade it for the correct one and he was again displaying rude body language. He said there is a no return policy. And if u do not have the gun with you than I can not help you. The guy hates people! Why work a job that requires dealing with customers when u hate people.

This place is great.very friendly atmosphere. All the staff is willing to help you with anything you need. And Robert the owner will go out of his way to make sure that you are satisfied with any purchase. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Great shooting range. Theyre big on safety which is something I cant say about all places. Easy going guys. Fix my front sight that became loose for free. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Just retired and relocated here in Myrtle Beach from Illinois and I’m so glad I found this cool gun shop they were very nice at the 707 Gun Shop! The guns for sale are reasonably priced and they have a good selection. Al polished my barrel for my SIG P239 and he did it while I waited just maybe 20 minutes and he had that baby shining like Nickel! I do plan to get my concealed carry their soon!

I just watched a video from a few years ago with the owner, Robert Battista, blathering about why he doesnt support Constitutional Carry. In the interview, he looks and sounds like he might be high or otherwise impaired.Given that he apparently doesnt understand the shall not be infringed part of our Second Amendment, it is unlikely that I will ever purchase anything from his ratty little store.The anti-2A media seems to have found a perfect little shill in this gun store owner.

Been coming to this shop ever since I moved down here from NJ. The employees are all great guys who have a good sense of humor. Robert will order any gun you want that isnt already available in the shop and try his best to get it in a timely matter. The shop is also connected to a gun range(which is convenient and fairly priced)with a staff that is very friendly and knowledgeable. Ive never had a bad experience here and would encourage anyone to stop in and do business.

A great place to train and purchase. Everyone is so nice.Prices are reasonable. Im glad Myrtle beach has its own store and range.They beat Coastal Sports by a long mile in every metric.707 is my goto when I want to practice and even trade some products. I use them as my FFL as well.

These guys were extremely helpful when I went to find a rifle for my little boy for his birthday. Very knowledgeable and professional and the shop has great prices. I liked that they were more interested in helping me find a firearm that would be perfect for my young boy and not about just making a sale. I highly recommend this shop to everyone.

Customer service via phone was very rude. Been here a few times and it was a decent experience. Customer service on the phone ruined it for me.

Great place, both the range and shop. Took my wife in for shooting lessons, the instructor even took the time to let my wife shoot her, (the instructors), personal weapon just to let her try something different, also went well over the 1.5 hr of lessons we paid for just to make sure my wife had a better handle on shooting.The store side has knowledgeable staff and makes time for whatever questions I have. Overall great buying experience.

Hit or miss. Sometimes you go in and the staff are engaging. Sometimes you go in and its a good ol boys club. Sometimes you go in and the guy behind the counter has part of a sub hanging out of his mouth and seems bothered that you showed up. Seems to be different every time. You go to make a trade and the price is one thing one day, and something entirely different the next. Staff are unable to make a decision and must call the owner for approval. Some dont even bother to do that, they just tell you to come back later. I buy guns online and in person. Retail obviously cant compete with online prices, even with the transfer fee included. When I buy retail, I do so, because personality and service are worth the extra dollars, and I want to help support the business. Based on my experiences at this shop, Im not interested in shopping here anymore.

I went in this store just to look, but that didnt know that. I was promptly greeted, they showed me numerous guns and then I left and they thanked me on the way out. They were very nice and very helpful, and thats exactly what I look for in my gun shop! Great prices too...

I went here for vacation and I LOVED it! The people that work their are so nice and have a great sense of humor. Plus, they really make you feel confident about being able to handle a gun by the time you finish even just one go at this place. I will definitely be coming back again once I get the time to take another vacation.

Gun shop and range are owned by different people. Their gun shop has the best prices around, however I believe the range is a little pricey. 25$ for less than an hour with only eyes and a target rented. I am from a military town so I guess this can be expected. Ammo at the range is a little high compared to where I buy as well. I recommend the gun shop.

Ive been a customer of 707 Gun Shop for over 4 years. Rob and the staff are experts and are easy to deal with. Prices for guns and ammo are the lowest in the area. If Rob doesnt have the gun you want, hell find it, cut you a deal, and order it. Unlike some other stores, 707 Gun Shop has not bumped up prices to take advantage of current shortages. Also, the new range is safe,, clean, well-lighted, and well-ventilated. Carmine and the staff are excellent.

I took my SC CWP Class and the UTAH Concealed Weapons permit class at their store.The staff was totally professional and very friendly.They have a great selection and their prices are the lowest at the beach.Everyone should check out 707s store and indoor range.You wont be disappointed.

Had my gun for roughly over two months the gun range beside shop is ok but the employees here lack gun knowledge. I only needed to switch out stocks on one of my shot guns they had it for over two months and said they were too busy to get around to doing it wow customer appreciation so thanks for nothing but wasting my time.

My wife and I went on vacation in Myrtle Beach and wanted to shoot at a range, so after searching on Google for a range I stumbled on this place and must say the reviews turned me off with going to this place. Customer service is not a hard task to have and there are just too many 1 stars for me to spend my money here. I always reward good companies with good business. Hope in the future it gets better. Thanks for having a gunstore in the first place in support of the 2ndamendment.

Just bought a glock from 707 Gun Shop. Service was excellent and price was reasonable.

I dont understand how people can tolerate such a high price to shoot at such a beat down range. Coming from TN, the most expensive it ever gets is $10 for a whole day in a brand new indoor range, which is very clean, no wall strikes, great employees with Military or LEO background, great ventilation system, and a fast electronic target retrieval system. Charging people what they do is a disservice to the community and a clear indication they dont care about your training. They seem like a bunch of Boomers and Fudds. My buddies and I are not going to collectively spend $200+ for a day of shooting, get real. Wrap up and go find another place.

I just moved to Myrtle Beach approximately a year ago. As soon as I changed my New York license to my South Carolina license I went to this gun shop to purchase a gun. As I was about to spend over $900 on a pistol, a gentleman Just hanging around the shop, apparently another customer slash friend approached me as I was speaking to a gentleman behind the counter. I did not know this man and never had seen him before. He approached me and asked where I was from. Obviously hearing my New York accent. I was so taken off guard that I did not believe he was actually coming towards me directly as he was asking this question. He started to demand knowing where I was from saying that he was from Vietnam. This gentleman was obviously from the United States. I realized that he must have had some type of a problem. He had a pistol on his hip. When he demanded to know where I was from, I said my mother. No one in the shop intervened. I had already given my telephone number to a gentleman behind the counter. He gave me his card and told me if I had any questions to please call. When I got home I called and told him that I would never come to that shop again. The owner later called me and identified the person telling me that he was normally on medication and probably didnt take his that day. My response was if you allow people like this that carry a pistol and approach unknown people like that then you sir, have a big problem. I will never go to this place again. If I could give it no stars I would. Be careful if you go in there. They dont seem to care who they allow in their even knowing that people like this person are on medication and how he can act potentially. The owner knows who I am after our phone conversation. Best prices in town, nicest shooting range around. I have bought 6 guns and a rifle at 707 gun shop. There guns, rifles & ammo prices are way less than any other gun shop in town. I feal more welcomed in there store than any other local gun shop. I reccomend shopping there.

I took a Glock to have the sites changed. to a laser I purchased. After 10 minutes they came out and told me my laser didnt work and Day they checked the batteries it must be broken. Told me had another one like it the other day. He specified ge checked before installing on the gun, which I did and it worked at the house. After looking at the gun there are scratches on my site and the laser sight. Obviously they installed it probably broke pounding it on. Will not go back

Would have gave it ZERO stars if it would have let me. First let me start by pointing out that the gun range and gun shop are two different owners and companies. On the range side everyone there is awesome. Very helpful and polite. Id give the range side five stars.....Now to the gun shop. Absolutely horrible to the public. Rudest staff on the grand strand. HUGE WORD OF WARNING....DO NOT USE PETE THE GUNSMITH FOR ANYTHING!!!! By far the worst gunsmith Ive ever used. Payed him for some work that he was to incompetent to complete. Ended up being left with firearm being incomplete with springs put in the wrong place & a job I payed for not even completed. When trying to explain what was supposed to be done and even how it was supposed to be done I got a very disgruntled Ive been through armory school and telling you there no possible way for that to work!! After receiving a piss poor attitude I left with my firearm, called the manufacturer of the part and installed it myself in under five minutes as they walked me through it. He was either just to lazy, or truly that incompetent. Either way he flat out lied about the firearm. Point blank I WOULDNT BUY ANYTHING FROM THOSE PEOPLE IF IT WAS THE LAST PLACE ON EARTH. If you need something, use US Arms in Murrells Inlet. That guy truly wants the publics business and support of the community. A1 to deal with. AVOID 707 LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

The owner is the BOSS, AND DONT YOU FORGET IT!!!I had been going to this range every week for a while and the staff was great I have to give them that. However, I signed up for a CWP class for a date later than I wanted but when I went in to pay for it to secure my seat I was told they had four cancellations for the date I originally wanted. I was told that I could just show up and take the class then. On the day of the class I arrived early and was parked in the front drinking some coffee when the someone asked me to park in the back if I was there for the class. While he was standing there I asked him if it was still ok to take the class even though I paid for one on the later date (it would not have been an issue for me). I explained to him that I was informed of the cancellations and was told it shouldnt be a problem. This is where he informed me that he was the boss and literally said You are going to do what I tell you to do, Im the boss and I dont care what you were told! Well he isnt my boss so I decided to secure another class elsewhere. He also informed me that the class was still oversold when he saw my reaction to his overbearing statement to a paying customer. I dont know if this overselling is a comon practice, but he told me later that they dont give refunds. Maybe thats why they oversell, he is keeping the money any way. He then laid all the blame at the feet of his staff as though they cant count the number of people in the class, but he somehow lets them handle money. I ended up leaving and calling about the refund after I found another class. I went back to get the refund he was gracious enough to grant me (I wasnt aware of the no refund policy at the time, but he knew he was wrong.) When I arrived he kept walking past me ignoring me in the process. After about 45 min I want to the gun shop and asked the guys there if they could contact the other owner so I could get my refund and leave. They did so after I explained what was going on. After about another 20 min he cut me a check while attempting to reprimand me, calling me argumentative as though he didnt push this snowball down the hill. This is where he told me they dont give refunds as though he was doing me a favor. If I were him I would have wanted to remedy this situation as soon as possible, not keep an upset customer at the counter. I hate that it happened this way because I liked going there before this. I eat crap and smile in the service industry all day and Im not taking it from someone Im paying for services. Hell, Im a vet and they still charged the same for the class against SLED regulation because I already have firearms training, meaning I only need the law portion of the class. I mention this because he was ranting about having too many people to run through the range. I wasnt doing the range portion...

Went in to buy 2 hand guns, the dealers/helpers (there were 5) all seemed very uninterested when I came in. When I was helped it was more, when you need something let me know. I was looking at a revolver, and when I asked to see it, there was no description given, no salesmanship. Pretty much was left to my own devices. I decided to purchase a .45 revolver and ammo, and also a Ruger 9mm. I filled out the appropriate paper work, and afterwards I was rang up before my background check was ran, which I found strange considering it is not the NICS protocol. I waited 15 minutes, and was told I was on a hold. They already took my money and said we will call you. I called back 4 days later just to check on my hold, because they had almost 900 dollars of my money, and they didnt even take the time to ask my name to even check, they just said when it happens we will call. This was at 10:05am, they opened at 10am So they could of at least checked.They said my guns would be released March 8th (I purchased my guns Feb. 28th). Today is the 8th and it is a Saturday and they told me the range is open but not the gun store so I have to wait until Monday, which is 10 days, 4 days longer than the NICS rules of releasing a firearm. They were quite rude, and very unprofessional. I will not be bringing my money to this place again. It seemed more of a hang out for buddies, than a licensed dealer. I do not recommend them, especially with their low product quantity, they had maybe 18 handguns there, and less than 12 rifles/shotguns. Monday when I go in, I am bringing my receipt and asking for my money back, I am not interested in the firearms from them. I went to the Gun Store in Conway and bought a glock 19 and it was released the same day to me. I purchased it on March 1st. This is literally the worst experience I have ever had with a gun shop, and do not recommend anyone go there. I also paid to do the CWP class 4 days ago for 75 dollars, I also will be getting my money back for that Monday and going to the Gun Store in Conway to do my CWP class.
