Bob did a phenomenal job threading the barrel on my 10/22 and cerakoting my Tec-9. Highly recommended for any custom gun work.

Last year I took a Sig Sauer to Carolina Custom Firearms in pawleys island to be cerakoted, and was charged an outrageous price compared to others who do the same work.Recently I was looking for some custom work on this gun and come to find out Bob did the cerakote job on it not them. Also found out his place charged ALOT less for the work. I was ripped off by a company claiming they provided a service they dont even do themselves. If you want gunsmithing or cerakote work, skip the middle man and come straight to the source. They do excellent work, I highly recommend!

I contacted the owner by phone about a gun that I wanted to sell, a S&W, model 39-2 pistol. He advised he could met with me the next day. He disassembled the gun, checked it out and reassembled. He discussed the value and showed me the sale value of the gun in one of his books. He told me he would contact some of his clients and see if anyone was interested. While waiting for his call, I took the gun by two other places. All three offered the same price on the pistol. I was most impressed with Robert, the owner of East Coast Custom Firearms. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I did not have to turn around and go back to his shop, but I did because he found a young police officer who wanted the pistol and I was pleased to know that the weapon would be for someone who would use and care for it. And no, its not a fancy gun shop, nor does the owner claim this. He repairs guns and he has a good client base. He did not have to help me sell this pistol, its not what he does for a living. And to the gentleman who thinks this place is a joke, you might want to consider why he told you to look elsewhere and decide what you wanted then come back to see him. You might have discovered that he could have got you a good or better price than what you most likely paid at that fancy gun store! The man owns a german shepherd for Chris sake and has her photos on his phone, that was good enough for me right there!

Bob is a Top notch gunsmith. No BS and hes a stand up guy.Ive taken several guns to him over the years to either fix my mistakes or customize and cerakote/duracote.This is a gunsmith shop not a gun store.Yes, he can order anything you need but if you are looking for a showroom, go somewhere else and see what they charge and then ask him his price. No the shop isnt in the best place but I go there for quality work and not glitzy displays and lots of overhead.Ive never been disappointed with his workmanship and prices. You get what you pay for.

This place is a joke. Its located in the middle of a trailer park. Went in to look at a gun and there is no inventory there at all. So if your looking to buy a gun now then dont go there because you cant see anything. The guy told me to go around to other gun stores and find what I wanted and then come back and he could order what I wanted. If Im going to buy a gun then I want to be able to hold the weapon and see how it feels in my hand. I dont want to go to a flee market looking to buy a weapon. If you are looking to buy a new gun then I would really advise checking around. I wouldnt trust leaving my dog let alone any guns just because of the looks and location of this shop.

Super helpful and knowledgable. No this is not a gun store its a gunsmith shop. If you need a gun repaired, built or customized this is the place to go. He helped me double check the safety of my AR-10 build.

Robert is a person that puts guns in the hands of people that truly have no business with a gun. He claims hes a repair shop but he offers the CWP class. He gives the answers to the class. He doesnt go over gun control the way it needs to be done when 10 people are going to shoot. People that were scared to shoot and couldnt control or reload their weapons were passed. I will report this to the proper people but everyone should be very careful with this guy. We all are here to make a living but you shouldnt cheat people when it comes to something so serious as gun control. His shop, shop location, and the place he takes you to shoot is completely unprofessional. Just go by and look around and you will see what Im talking about. This is one of those situations to where you should get a second opinion before you leave your weapon here and you end up paying double or triple of what you would at a real professional shop.

Rob was referred to me from a Navy Seal friend. Great custom work! He repaired my 357 and it shoots like a dream now!!! FYI. This man is a gunsmith, not a gun shop! Other guy that posted probably shouldnt own a gun since he got that confused. If I need help, Rob is my guy.

This is a gunsmithing business, not a gun shop. Dont walk in expecting a showroom, because this place is a working firearms repair shop. That said, this place is going to get all of my firearms business going forward. Took an old shotgun in to get cleaned up for sale. Bob was awesome! Patiently explained the process, provided recommendations and answered all my questions. Got the job done in 24 hours. When I returned to the shop, he already had two people interested in the gun. Throughout the process, Bob was upfront, honest, and fair. Not to mention, he did a heck of a good job cleaning up the shotty. A+
