The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Its always nice to deal with the local professionals and to keep the money in our community.

Make sure you get a professional to measure before you order. The owner told us how to measure for the correct size sliding door, when we went to have it installed the measurements were incorrect and our contractor discovered the door was the incorrect size. When we contacted Gem State to exchange the door for the correct size, he refused to help at all. We are stuck with a $1200 sliding door that we can’t use.

These guys were great they help me order a door for a client it was ready a day early.They even offered me a tour of the shop but I was too busy that day.Ill definitely use them again their customer service was outstanding

These guys were great to deal with! Had the fastest turn around on a custom door in town. It fit perfectly despite difficulties due to me having to measure the door jam and communicate that over the phone to their experienced sales technician. Through them a hard ball and that hit it out of the park! Also while I was there picking up my small order, they gave me a tour of their shop and products. Lots of their products are half the price of Lowes and home depot. Wish I would have know that before by 2 rehabs were almost complete!

Great customer service!

Worst experience for the simplest transaction. I went in a few days after Xmas to look at doors. I worked with Rick. I ask if they can computer match my current 1963 so hinge and lockset are exact . He advised can match . When I brought doors down to match he advised my doors are a true 30” so all we can do is mount hinge on outside of door and not mortise. I advised let’s order1 door and try it . Almost a week and a half of unreturned phone calls I finally get a hold of him he advised had lost my number . I asked if door was ready and he advised hadn’t ordered would be there in 2 days. When I showed up to get the door the work that was done on door was crooked and unprofessional. They had made the lockset striker the wrong shape. Rick didn’t offer anything as a fix for this but assured me It would be right on all the rest of the doors. The next few weeks resulted in excuse after excuse . All the doors came in damaged. Etc. Finally yesterday I got my doors. 4 trips down there and 35 days just to buy 5 doors. They loaded my doors while I paid the bill . Rick advised to make up for all the problems no charge for labor . That amounted to about 20 minutes of drilling for the lockset. I just nodded and left. To my dismay all of the doors are screwed up. Hopefully I can post pictures. It looks like a child chiseled the striker. I’ve done this many times before. They sell a little kit at HimDepot . You just Dremel the oval or the rectangle. I’m not sure what shape these are. Extremely poor quality work. But as a positive Rick was friendly.

The guys here are nothing short of awesome.Forget buying anywhere else and give these guys a shot; supporting the small local guys who do it right from start to finish.Special shoutout to Rick. That guy cares about people and it shows in the way he treats them.I’ve never wanted there to be a sixth star option when reviewing folks, but these guys deserve it.
