A package was delivered in the worst possible spot and, upon opening the gate without a clue there was a big package in the way, it got mangled in our electric gate making it completely inoperable. Thought for sure it blew out the motor. Contacted Dave at Idaho Door and Gate who promptly came out the next morning. Hes nice guy who quickly assessed the battery was drained and replaced it. He inspected, cleaned and lubricated all the mechanisms. Dave showed us simple maintenance tips to keep our older system functioning smoothly since some parts are no longer available which would result in needing to replace the entire system. Very reasonably priced, quick and professional. Our gate has never worked better. Will definitely use again.

My garage door opener broke, bought a new one on Amazon and just need someone to install it ASAP. I have a 10 month old and don’t like taking her straight outside when she first wakes up. Dave returned my text request within about FIVE MINUTES, and arrived on scene about two hours later. The other guys couldnt schedule me until next Tuesday. The garage door was an old 1950s style and I wasnt even sure it could be fixed, but he knew right away what the issue was and was honest up front about the problems with an old door (including the unavailability of parts). Fortunately, though, he knew just how to sweet-talk the door and within about a half an hour of telling me he was on his way, BOOM! Door working good as new. Thank you so much, Dave! I was always told you get what you pay for but in this instance I was pleasantly surprised I received even more! Dave in a matter of hours removed our old door with the tracks and motor and by the afternoon we were up and running! After watching him work ( by himself ) and speaking with him for a while I realized his talents were much more than installing a garage door. Dave has always been our go to for our gates. He is very professional and does a great job.

I called Dave and explained that I had three garage doors that all had different challenges and problems. He jumped at the opportunity to assist me in a complicated repair to get my two 25+ year old openers and the newer (15 year old) openers to utilize one remote. He also adjusted one door that didnt close all the way and repaired a broken hinge. Then he lubricated everything and go the third door to operate smoothly. I have never met anyone as knowledgeable about garage doors! Dave is a garage door whisperer! I would not hesitate to call him if you have what looks like a lost cause--he will probably be able to get you up and running and maybe keep you from having to buy a new opener (or three in my case).
